Chapter 899 - 726: The Great Cyber Specter

Chapter 899: Chapter 726: The Great Cyber Specter

Before sunset, Standing Black Hat was determined to give Vigilante Emperor a good thrashing.

The Living Armor Vigilante Emperor was incredibly aggressive, difficult to tame.

Therefore, the violent Standing Black Hat had to continuously beat it up until it obeyed.

Standing Black Hat dragged Vigilante Emperor to an open area in the wilderness.

"This shouldn’t scare anyone here." She looked around at the empty grassland, feeling satisfied, with only about a dozen meerkats standing on the field watching the spectacle.

She swung her gourd-sized fists at Vigilante Emperor, strike after strike, sending the small animals running in all directions.

Her body was like a cannonball being fired, every attack accompanied by a sharp whistling sound.

At this moment, her red eyes held nothing but the armor, nothing else!

But even under Standing Black Hat’s serious beating, the armor still appeared robust.

If it weren’t for the ultimate explosion in the underground city, created by Easter that damaged its vitality, it would have stood up and have had a go with Standing Black Hat with its iron fists!

"Just... fall for me!" Standing Black Hat swung her armored giant sword from above, unleashing her Magic Power and delivered her most powerful blow.

Gravity Slash!

Guided by the gravity waves, the blade was enveloped with a lethal heaviness, chopping down on the front of Vigilante Emperor instantly! It was like dark lightning, crashing onto the armor with indiscernible speed, deadly accuracy, and weight.

Boom!

The explosive sound, restraining the Clouds above!

Even after Standing Black Hat’s full-powered strike, the Vigilante Emperor was uncracked, showcasing the ultimate defensive power of the armor.

However, Standing Black Hat’s maximized firepower left Vigilante Emperor feeling tired and weak, falling into silence and motionlessness once more.

"It’s done, Lady Farosa." Standing Black Hat communicated with Farosa, "But why is the defense of this armor so strong?"

"It is forged from a magical ore known as ’Starlight Molybdenum,’ mined from the bottom of Lake Ukarewe, only the Fifth Empress Shira could refine it."

"The remains of Empress Shira are still under The Scar of the World."

"The people of Seven Seals are patrolling nearby; it’s difficult to investigate freely, but I will consider it. You may leave now."

"Yes."

After Standing Black Hat left, Farosa came to the wilderness to check on the Vigilante Emperor.

From the bottom of Lake Ukarewe, she mined a large amount of Magical Materials, ground them into powder, dyed with four different types of blood, and wrote sacrilegious prayers on the shell of Vigilante Emperor, making it easier to control.

The entire Vigilante Emperor was immediately subjugated by the Power of Farosa.

She commanded Vigilante Emperor to follow her, returning to a stony ravine near the Lake Shore Sanctuary.

Cyber Specter had set up its work studio here, tinkering with some mechanical gizmos.

Following its provided list, the people from the Lake Shore Sanctuary had gathered some key components here, many of which were carried out during Zanges’ large retreat, escaping calamity just like the survivors.

"Here’s the armor you wanted." Farosa tossed the Vigilante Emperor beside it.

"Thank you. You will get your gift too, I promise."

"I never doubted it; look at this, you set up a workshop wherever you go." Farosa looked at the shed.

The cheapest sheet metal framework was used for the workshop, but underneath lay hundreds of pricey, technologically advanced armor parts that could be used to assemble high-end robots.

"Engineers always have to deal with their equipment."

"This has nothing to do with network technology anymore." Farosa stated.

"I mainly learn things by downloading."

"Hmm... You always change bodies, I can’t recognize which one is you." Farosa observed.

The current Cyber Specter resides in a humanoid combat robot, with a streamlined appearance that’s quite lightweight, its head removed, and a massive hollow in its chest, as if it’s waiting for something to be installed.

"I can freely stream my consciousness on the internet, existing simultaneously in different terminals."

"But you are you, sitting by the pool, inflating swim rings for the kids. I can see you, and I can also appear in multiple places at the same time." Farosa said in a half-mocking tone.

"My body in one place, my heart between heaven and earth, there’s no conflict." The Cyber Specter retorted.

It extended its arm to the Vigilante Emperor, and Farosa stepped aside.

After being beaten by Standing Black Hat and smeared with sacrilegious prayers by Farosa, the Vigilante Emperor had lost its angry, violent temper, now appearing exceedingly docile.

It automatically split open and attached to the mechanical body of the Cyber Specter, forming its living life armor.

This piece of vibrant mythical armor provided the Cyber Specter with unparalleled protection, but what it valued most was the extensibility of the Vigilante Emperor.

The Cyber Specter walked around the workshop, fitting scattered mechanical parts onto its body, while the Vigilante Emperor automatically extended its joints and expanded the armor coverage, ensuring support for action at all times.

"This is the ultimate fusion of machinery, information technology, and magic." The Cyber Specter lifted a nuclear fission reactor from the mechanical workbench.

This reactor was incredibly heavy, but with the augmentation of the Vigilante Emperor, the Cyber Specter could easily lift the reactor and install it in its front, becoming the energy core of the body.

The Vigilante Emperor automatically split its chest open to facilitate installation, then closed up again.

When the energy core was activated, it emitted a humming sound, and a dark red glow appeared under the armor—that was the Cyber Specter’s new energy core.

It already had an advanced mechanical body, but now, having added a multitude of new parts and the Vigilante Emperor, the Cyber Specter appeared to have become a terrifying 3.4-meter tall mechanical giant! Its body was covered with precision black armor, fitting snugly together, with exaggerated shoulder pads decorated with patterns symbolic of slaughter and law.

"...So tall..." Farosa frowned.

"It’s much taller." The Cyber Specter looked down at Farosa.

The Vigilante Emperor kept trembling.

It was also surprised by the wearer, the Cyber Specter. The Vigilante Emperor is armor dedicated to following its host, fighting alongside its owners on battlefields since it was forged.

It silently sensed the presence of the Cyber Specter.

It was wonderfully strange.

This wearer is tougher than any human in the past...!

How can this be? The Vigilante Emperor was so irritable before because it thought it was going to be dragged out and worn by some weak human. But this guy is different!

The host’s chest burns with a temperature of thousands of degrees Celsius, and every movement exerts the force of hundreds of tons! Moreover, his body is all steel-like muscles!

The Vigilante Emperor hastily increased his efforts, tightly enveloping the Cyber Specter’s original body.

Hard, super hard, especially hard!

Although not able to withstand damage like the Vigilante Emperor, his strength surpasses that of any mere mortal flesh!

...I see.

After a moment of contemplation, the Vigilante Emperor understood.

This is a Demigod with "steel" as his divine essence!

Only this could explain the steel all over his body and his infinite power.

Too fierce! Finally serving more than just upright apes. The Vigilante Emperor wholeheartedly approves of such a wearer, always ready to sustain injuries for him, eager to rush into battle and swing his weapon.

The Cyber Specter can also calculate the abnormal electromagnetic response from the real-time data changes of the Living Armor.

"It wants to fight." The Cyber Specter walked to the edge of the mountain pass and struck the cliff wall with great force.

Bang!

The mountain wall immediately cracked and shattered! The earth shook and dust cascaded down. Where the mighty punch made contact, the rock turned into dust and the entire mountain side let out a piercing sound, its geological structure slightly deformed from the impact.

The inner rocks could not bear the weight, and the outside was covered with countless scattered stones.

Using the adjustment of the power furnace, the Cyber Specter jumped back.

"What a super robot, truly a mighty force that sends bricks flying." Farosa observed the terrifying crack; this is probably what they mean by splitting a mountain with one strike.

It was like something out of a monster movie, such a strike could even kill monsters.

The Vigilante Emperor’s functions are almost like a piece of Living Power Armor, also possessing adaptive regulation abilities. It’s hard to say if any other armor in the world could compete with it in terms of protection.

"It seems as if a person’s soul has been cast into this Armor, making it so ’lively’, to last ten thousand years." The Cyber Specter looked at the iron palms of the Vigilante Emperor.

"Empress Shira, of course, has a wide variety of techniques." Farosa extended her hand to the Cyber Specter, "Now clear the way for me."

The Cyber Specter took the lead, its huge form enough to block out the scorching sun and sandstorms of the Hot Tree Continent.

Farosa found Sally by the lake.

"Wow——such huge armor——" Sally looked up at the Cyber Specter wearing the Vigilante Emperor and was taken aback.

Like an advanced suit of armor designed to combat aliens in fantasy, the helmet had a retro cross-slit design, with only a mesh for breathing, and one could see only a faint red glow emanating from it; its appearance was towering and formidable, like a transformed tank.

So tall... imposing, Sally really wanted to grow larger and then arm-wrestle with it.

"Is there any food?" Farosa glanced at Sally.

"Mushrooms for you!" Sally had brought a lot of mushrooms, which were originally planned to be eaten when everyone was about to starve, but now that there was still plenty of food, she used them to entertain Farosa.

"I don’t eat this sort of thing." Farosa said.

"But there’s nothing else to eat right now." Sally shrugged.

"Is that so?" Farosa walked towards the lake.

Her feet soaked in the flowing waters of Lake Ukarewe, Farosa raised one hand high facing the center of the lake.

The ripples on the lake surface shimmered slightly, as if trembling because of Farosa’s presence.

"Ancient creatures of the lake——meet your mistress!" she commanded.

The decree spread across the lake’s surface, like an arrow shot into its heart.

Immediately after, gigantic, dragon-like Lake-Kin roared as they emerged from the water.

Among them was an extraordinarily huge Ancient Lake-Kin, moving slowly, stirring the waters of the whole Lake Ukarewe.

It is the common ancestor of all giant lake creatures.

Originally, when the terrain changed, some Ocean Descendant stayed on the Ground, and with the formation of Lake Ukarewe, they remained in the lake, thus becoming "Lake-Kin" separated from the sea.

This Lake-Kin Elder still remembers the source of the ancient marine power, and now it feels the call of Poseidon’s ancestral bloodline from Farosa!

So the Lake-Kin Elder raised its gigantic head from the huge lake, and numerous younger beasts slowly surfaced.

All of them submitted to the ancient Poseidon essence emanating from Farosa, their innate longing for the sea awakened.

The sky also gathered thunderclouds, with the weather beginning to change as the Lake-Kin collectively surfaced.

In the distance, the people inside the Lake Shore Sanctuary were all stunned, rushing to the shore to witness this spectacle.

They had never seen so many, so powerful, lake creatures!

Each and every one of them pale, trembling with fear.

So in Lake Ukarewe... all such creatures exist!

Too terrifying!

Twenty or thirty huge half-dragon heads looked like a cataclysm, all enormously overwhelming. And there were hundreds of frightening dragon-like behemoths swimming in the distance, not to mention innumerable smaller but equally terrifying Lake-Kin monsters.

If these dreadful monsters were to come ashore, would the whole Sanctuary not be instantly reduced to rubble?

The people wore expressions of extreme fear, desperately searching for weapons.

But the awe-stricken presence of the Lake-Kin, particularly the Elder Ancient Lake-Kin, was enough to hold them in place.

They gradually noticed that these Lake-Kin were all staring at a figure on the shore.

That was Farosa, who simply looked indifferently at these degenerated descendants of the Ocean Descendant.

In silence, the Lake-Kin, and the people of the Sanctuary, were silent.

Farosa shouted loudly: "Fish, come!"

The Lake-Kin Elder shook its tail, and thousands of lively fish from the lake died instantly, with other beasts striking them with tails and necks, and all the fresh fish flew towards the shore.

The fish were innumerable, darkening the sky.

That day, every member of the Lake Shore Sanctuary had fish to eat.
