Cyber Era Witch -
Chapter 795 - 657
Chapter 795: 657
```
On the tarmac, Xu Yang waved at the little fool eagerly waiting in the corridor.
"Are you coming with me?" Xu Yang asked.
"Where is Daddy going?" the little fool asked, puzzled.
"Kasongti," Xu Yang replied, turning to look at Pan Ruiyi in the distance.
Pan Ruiyi was low in spirits now, troubled by some sort of influence implanted by Lady Farosa, she seemed a bit depressed.
"To see the doctor?" the little fool asked.
"Yes," Xu Yang nodded.
"Lady Farosa bullied her," the little fool stressed.
"Right, sometimes what Lady Farosa does is detestable, and I will not sit idly by. Her influence over the witches is very strong, and I cannot condone her eccentricities, lest she leads the witches astray. I suspect Lady Farosa wants to turn Pan Ruiyi into a true beast of war, just as she torments others," Xu Yang emphasized.
"Fight, fight Lady Farosa," the little fool said angrily.
"I’ve already punished Lady Farosa," Xu Yang said.
"Did she regret it?" the little fool asked, confused.
"Not just regret, but also anger, disappointment, depression, and pain, almost to the point of madness. Because Lady Farosa never thought that I would really turn against her."
"Wow..." the little fool was startled, "If she gets angry, won’t she want to destroy the world?"
"I calmed her down. I brought her the things from my memories, I told her all the words she should know, and her resentment gradually faded into a vast calm," Xu Yang said.
"Quack..." the little fool realized that Xu Yang’s words were true. Although she didn’t know the specifics, she knew that her father had used complex means, first disciplining Lady Farosa and then putting her into some kind of tranquil state.
Looking at her father’s expression, the little fool also knew that this time her father was serious, and it even made her feel a little uneasy.
She turned and ran, while watching how Xu Yang escorted Pan Ruiyi onto the shuttle machine and left.
Would Lady Farosa be able to swallow her pride? How had Father tamed her? The little fool was eager to see Lady Farosa’s current condition.
She knew Lady Farosa’s private chamber was the most central part of her divine realm, a convergence point of her great influence.
The little fool had visited Lady Farosa’s private chamber more than once and now she reached the chamber by taking the path leading to the core layer of Nestor Headquarters.
Pushing the door open, the little fool found that the chamber had completely changed, becoming a genuine little galaxy; without gravity, she could only flap her arms and legs to swim through the cosmic-like environment. Though there was still air, her cries for help were only audible to herself.
With no ground to stand on, the little fool could only try to fly through the little galaxy, making an effort in one direction to avoid getting lost in the dark depths of space.
In a sense, Lady Farosa’s divine realm was perhaps the most advantageous place for witches.
It was the illusory projection of the "Starry Sea," the source of the witch’s power. Witches with sparse magical power could swiftly supplement it here, and witches with thin magic circuits could greatly enhance the efficiency of their circuit development.
As the little fool drifted through Lady Farosa’s little galaxy realm, she unconsciously absorbed the great power within the divine realm.
This nourishment allowed the circuits within the little fool to grow prematurely, and she was unwittingly transforming from a cub-class witch into a lower-rank witch. Years of arduous cultivation seemed to pass in an instant within Lady Farosa’s divine realm, fostering the growth of the little fool’s magic circuits.
And the little fool was just idly floating, unaware of the relationship between the divine realm and power advancement. She was merely frustrated that she couldn’t find the star that belonged to Lady Farosa and was unable to locate her in the divine realm.
This phenomenon lasted until several hours later when the little fool suddenly saw Lady Farosa.
Lady Farosa—within a huge star.
No, it was Little Farosa, quite young, with black hair, a cute visage, dressed in a brown village apron, resembling a village maiden, curled up within the figure of a taller Lady Farosa. Her small figure was enveloped by another figure, "motherly" in stature, looking especially docile and cute, both with eyes closed, as if enjoying the peace of each other’s presence.
So it was Lady Farosa’s mother she had found. The little fool had a realization—no matter how fierce Lady Farosa was, in her mother’s embrace, she became gentle and obedient. Lady Farosa’s mother was truly beautiful, that was Madam Medusa, who had turned Lady Farosa into Little Farosa to hold in her arms, and Madam Medusa was as beautiful as Lady Farosa.
No wonder although Dad had punished Lady Farosa, she seemed quite pacified—that was the image he had brought from his memories. Little Farosa was naturally a good child, well-behaved and wouldn’t bully anyone, lying in her mother’s arms asleep.
The little fool was relieved. At that moment, as if Lady Farosa sensed the little fool’s presence, a ripple-like force pushed the little fool from behind.
Rapidly, under the force, the little fool spun around, limbs splayed out, becoming a spinning top, a high-speed tire, or perhaps a self-spinning comet, skimming along the edge of the gravitational waves through the entire dark starry divine realm.
This saved her the effort of swimming through the galaxy herself; she rode the force, rotating and drifting, waiting for the moment she would leave the edge of the little galaxy.
```
It took 40 hours.
The Little Galaxy was conducive to the Witch’s growth but extremely perilous. Other witches who carelessly stepped into it were doomed to die, for the Starry Sea was vast and difficult to leave, and one could easily get lost.
But it suited Little Fool just fine.
With a milk bottle in tow, whenever she felt hungry, she would take a sip, then continue to daze off, drifting through the starlit sky, drinking milk while gazing at the bright sights of the Starry Sea.
This "wayward comet" glided all the way to the dark domain’s end and then fell out from the other side of Lady Farosa’s secret chamber.
Having caught up on sleep along the way, Little Fool rolled a few times when she bumped onto the ground, promptly recovering to normal.
By the way, she advanced from a Cub-Class Witch to a Lower-rank Witch. Little Fool discovered she could now release air walls from different parts of her body, no longer limited to using Magic Power only from her hands.
Dusting herself off, she went to find 102 to share her experiences in the Little Galaxy.
"Quack, quack..." Little Fool told 102 where she had been for the past 40 hours, especially about the scene of Madam Medusa holding Little Farosa; that was truly incredible.
"No lying!" 102 did not believe the story, "How could Lady Farosa possibly have black hair."
...
Meanwhile, A40 was preparing to apply for a position at Nestor Corporation’s Bureau of Secrets to earn some money for a gift for its dearest Huang Feng.
Nestor Corporation’s Bureau of Secrets openly or semi-openly recruited those humans daring enough to face the world’s dangerous secrets, and all witches belonged to the Witch Division. Each witch baby’s birth was personally inquired into by Mizuiro Yoshioka. Hence, the Bureau of Secrets saw a significant reduction in its forces and had to pick agents from the courageous humans.
After surpassing requisite intelligence and loyalty tests, Synthetic Humans could also join, and A40 was here for this reason.
The Bureau of Secrets reported directly to the President’s office, and its work location was in another building on Shangjing Bay Beach, with its own independent staff and filing system.
After A40 took a taxi to the Bureau of Secrets and discovered that over two hundred applicants were already queueing up, a machine coldly spat out a tag marked with the number 255. The electronic voice told A40 to roll to the waiting room and sit, totally devoid of empathy for fellow artificial intelligences.
The facility was well-equipped and staffed. A40 judged that Seeking Shadow was ambitious, aiming to make a big splash.
It was unaware whether this had anything to do with the Jialong Slope operation in which Seeking Shadow had been involved. A40 regretted missing the battle, being unplugged from its body for the entire duration and trapped as a chip in a state of isolation, oblivious to the details of the battle and the key figures involved.
It sat on the chair, browsing the newspaper through the network module. In the year since the Frost Era began, there had been a constant stream of novel news, refreshing A40’s knowledge database.
The Crimson Transformation sold animal-specific prosthetics to Kangaroo People, assisting them in resisting poachers who intrude into their reserves;
Kanako Xisheng Company, in partnership with Panoramic Real Estate Company, would build "Elysium Paraiso" gaming centers capable of immersing 10,000 people simultaneously, across 14 major cities in the Eastern Hemisphere;
Mass delirium swept through the Italia Region, with people abandoning their jobs and lives, chanting the name of some ancient deity;
The vanguard guerrilla forces from the Great Northern Region set out from Chiba City on a westward campaign, making significant headway. "Dawn," the space mothership, defected from the battle sequence of Northern Military Industry, joined them, and was renamed "The Commune."
A40 rested its elbow on the armrest of its chair, its fist propping up its metallic cheek. The chilling weather that terrified humans posed no obstacle to robots; they were inherently capable of withstanding extreme weather and were widely used in polar exploration missions more than a hundred years ago.
Before its eyes, besides the news reports, were numerous D-type assistant Synthetic Humans moving back and forth, working in different rooms, transferring materials, repairing equipment, restocking supplies. They soothed the frazzled waiters with their upgraded emotional modules and service functions. They were deliberately designed by Nestor Corporation to have the pleasant appearance of beautiful women, which proved very effective in boosting sales.
The century of the Synthetic Human was apparent to A40.
Nestor Corporation’s pillar Synthetic Human manufacturing department expanded sevenfold, the skyrocketing demand causing Nestor’s wealth to surge rapidly. Households, factories, and offices around the world, troubled by the severe cold, relied on high-precision Synthetic Humans to expose themselves and endure the extreme low temperatures on behalf of humans.
Accordingly, Nestor Corporation’s profits soared to unprecedented levels. A40 knew the company’s wealth had grown by several multiples. With this impressive production and sales volume, and Nestor’s distribution model, front-line technicians and engineers earned considerable money. Workers on the assembly line made more money in just one month than they had in the past five years. Many employees could afford to buy new villas with just their bonuses and dividends!
All who had hesitated and did not join Nestor Corporation were now moved by these tales of wealth and regretted not having joined earlier. They now wholeheartedly supported Nestor Corporation, allowing the company to virtually monopolize the majority of top talent in the Northern Archipelago.
At the same time, the surge in wealth not only completely alleviated the current financial difficulties faced by Nestor Corporation but also prompted the company to consider opening branches beyond the Northern Archipelago, especially in Xia’s coastal regions or increasing investments in Silla and Chiba City.
The intelligent Synthetic Human industry also attracted more students from the Northern Archipelago. Surveys showed high school students were most eager to pursue majors at university in artificial intelligence, robotics engineering, mechanical design, automation, and computer science. Nestor Corporation kept up with the demand, recruiting over 20,000 college students from last year to the present.
The "Nestor" brand also frequented the top of social media trends multiple times, with products praised worldwide for their precision, advancement, and intelligence. Once equipped with Synthetic Humans produced by Nestor Corporation, people found it hard to revert to using earlier, less intelligent products.
Its own kind was now distributed around the world, in homes everywhere! Synthetic Humans entering thousands of households! Impressive! A40 was very pleased.
In the future, traveling around to work, it might encounter other B-type Elite Soldiers, C-type Technicians, and D-type assistant Synthetic Humans, but by then, each would serve different masters, and it would have to destroy them all.
But these Synthetic Humans could well be spies planted by Nestor Corporation’s Bureau of Secrets, intended to infiltrate locations worldwide and covertly transmit intelligence back to the parent company. They also replaced numerous human jobs, causing more humans to become unemployed. A40 pondered that Nestor Corporation had grown from a tiny mining enterprise into a giant in intelligent technology, achieving great success in the field of esoteric studies as well.
There would certainly be many things to cut down in the future. A40 was convinced. The time to settle its score with A999 by a single shot was not far away. It would surely smash it to pieces.
