"Come in, darling." Madam Medusa led Little Farosa into the hut, where mother and daughter sat at the table. Little Farosa turned her head, continuously watching the narrow wooden cabin, uncertain whether she was disdainful of its smallness, or if through some method, she had sensed Xu Yang sneaking in.

Madam Medusa closed the door, and the room became completely dark. She took a dirty silver coin out from the pocket of her skirt.

"Farosa, sweet child, do you see this?" Madam Medusa smiled as she placed the silver coin on the table. "I found it in the Brynna household in the valley, it used to be a silver coin, you can change it back, can’t you?"

Little Farosa earnestly released the Law of Recovery on the silver coin, but her magic power was so scattered, it had long since been completely depleted.

Seeing herself unable to be of any use, Little Farosa immediately began to cry, tears incessantly streaming down from her eyes.

Little Farosa shook uncontrollably in her seat, not understanding, and continued to sob.

A tall man, unshaven and unkempt, walked in from outside the hut, and Little Farosa’s tears stopped abruptly.

The man silently glowered at Little Farosa’s red-rimmed eyes, then turned towards Madam Medusa and strode over to her.

Madam Medusa instinctively dodged and quickly got up to tidy the table.

"I’m preparing the food," she said submissively.

The man sat down at the table with great presence, waiting to be served by Madam Medusa.

Little Farosa, terrified, very terrified, jumped off her chair to try and escape to the next room.

"It’s dinner time, roll back here," the man said with an unpleasant tone.

"Yes, Dad." Little Farosa responded blankly.

"Huh..." The man turned his primitive, bestial gaze towards the kitchen, settling on Madam Medusa’s skirt.

He quickly got up and walked behind Madam Medusa.

"You..." Madam Medusa responded stiffly, her body trembling violently, knowing the horror that was about to ensue.

Little Farosa clenched her teeth, and her pain and fear turned into rage as she yelled at him, "Don’t touch Mom again! You maniac!"

The man furiously grabbed a wooden stick resting by the stone stove, roaring as he charged at Little Farosa, who screamed and backed away.

Xu Yang’s fist crashed down on the man’s head, smashing him directly to the ground. His head struck the stone floor hard, and he spat out a mouthful of fresh blood along with shattered teeth, emitting a dreadful scream.

"Ah!" Little Farosa looked up to see Xu Yang, who had appeared from an invisible stance, astonished.

"Respected Madam, Miss..." Xu Yang skillfully picked up the stunned Little Farosa, then went to the kitchen to meet the shell-shocked Madam Medusa, "... I will explain the situation in a moment, but right now we need to leave here quickly."
