Chapter 606: Chapter 515: The Liberation of the Blanket Fortress_2

She declined their kind offer of candy, Little Fool had a task at hand and could not afford to delay.

Once the elevator arrived, she took a deep breath and sidestepped out.

The grand New Blanket Fortress was built here. Outside in the open space and on the playground, young witches romped and frolicked, enjoying a life of peace and prosperity.

She was there to break it all apart. Little Fool stared at the distant colossal New Blanket Fortress, where no trace of the rule of 102 remained, and the other children had become the new elite.

A young witch guard was approaching Little Fool one step at a time, riding a large golden retriever dog known for its swiftness. A charge from the dog could stop the mischievous young witches from getting into trouble.

This young witch held a plastic water gun and was known for her valor in the New Blanket Fortress. Her name was Zhi Guang, originally one of the witch children trained at a high level in the Divine Palace by Xisheng. Xisheng gathered witches with strong magic power from all over the world, and Zhi Guang was one of them, with the ability to manipulate weight, capable of changing the weight of objects.

"What are you here for?" Zhi Guang aimed the water gun at Little Fool’s heart, "Speak! Xu Cheng, you have never been a subject of the Blanket Fortress, nor have you ever participated in the worship of Goddess Farosa!"

"Quack." Little Fool responded calmly and fluently, "Quack."

"Don’t think of doing anything strange, I’m watching you." Hearing this, Zhi Guang relaxed a little, tugged at the dog leash, and the golden retriever, lowering its head to sniff, walked away.

Little Fool proceeded with caution, passing through the prosperous market streets at the entrance of the fortress.

The young witches were here hawking the small trinkets they made, selling them to exchange for snacks and fruit with other young witches.

She still remembered the list, and silently slipped into one of the fabric mat compartments, where three young witches sat on floor mats, having tea and playing house.

Little Fool made eye contact with the eldest of the young witches, who nervously nodded.

"Dear, take the children out first." The young witch asked the other two children playing house with her to step aside, then turned to Little Fool, "...Is that person coming back?"

"Quack..." Little Fool patted her shoulder.

"Gwa, I understand." The young witch pulled out a water gun full of water from under the mat, "I’ve been ready for a long time!"

A good start. Little Fool nodded, saluted the young witch, then left the market street and entered the main body of the fortress.

Little Fool went through a thorough check by the young witch guards at the gate, ensuring that she did not carry any water guns or plastic knives meant for assassination before letting her in.

Little Fool concealed her tracks, avoiding sight so well that even the sweeping robots couldn’t find her. She roamed through the various pavilions, porches, buildings, libraries, and halls, quietly contacting the loyal individuals on the list of 102, thus gradually weaving a chain of victory to welcome the return of the true ruler.

After all this, Little Fool did not return the way she came, but left the New Blanket Fortress and stealthily made her way to the other side, to Balloon Bay.

Here, colorful hydrogen balloons freely released journeyed high, almost blocking the bright lights of the spotlights. The other young witches painted the balloons here before blowing them up and setting them afloat, a group of cute and imaginative children.

In the further distance lived the young witches who flew kites, residing at the end of this level, equivalent to the edge of the world, a group of evil nomads often flying giant kites to knock down the soft balloons. Sometimes they would also attack the bay, looting and stealing more balloons, not to set afloat, but to trample on. Watching the young witches cry over their lost balloons was a great pleasure for them.

Little Fool came here because Balloon Bay had a communication device, which only those trained in Academic City could access with a key to converse fluently with the outside world.

The young witches releasing balloons turned their heads in respectful silence as Little Fool approached, for she was the unique envoy who, without any training, was also able to use the communication device.

They surrounded her as Little Fool entered the glass-walled phone booth, pressing several numbers on it.

The other young witches held their breath in silence, waiting for her to send out the world-changing message.

"...Quack." Little Fool transmitted to the children’s communication device of 102.

"Ohh!"

"We did it!"

"Wow wow!" the other Young Witches releasing balloons cheered.

received the message and immediately turned back to New Blanket Fortress.

When her figure emerged from the elevator and strode towards the New Blanket Fortress, the fortress guards were stunned.

Zhi Guang, riding a golden retriever, dared not approach, but immediately shouted, summoning more guardsmen with water guns to repel 102.

They were ready for battle.

"You’re not welcome here!" Zhi Guang brandished a plastic water gun at 102, while the golden retriever beneath him was on alert.

"Ha, I built this castle! Surrender or be annihilated! You have no hope in this situation!" 102 declared ferociously, wearing a plaid cloak over her clothes, a coat knitted for her by the kind Young Witches, symbolizing her rule over New Blanket Fortress.

"We can hold this fortress till we’re old and gray!" Zhi Guang declared firmly, "Leave, evil one! You’re over 6 years old and look like someone who’s 26; we will never hand the majestic New Blanket Fortress to an adult! This is the city of the Young Witches! There are no corridors or gates here that you can pass through!"

"Waah!"

"That’s right!"

"End 102’s cruel reign!" the Young Witches’ morale was high.

"But I’m only 6.5 years old! I can still play until my birthday in July!" 102 called out, towering so much that all the Young Witches had to look up, "People of New Blanket Fortress, I have returned!"

"Ohh!"

"Charge!"

The fearsome water gun battle was about to break out; prompted by Little Fool’s coordination, the brave Young Witches leaped out from their hiding spots. They were slim and swift, launching water gun attacks from behind Zhi Guang, who screamed upon being hit. According to the rules, even though she was fine, she had to dismount the golden retriever and lie on the ground in an X-shape as a symbol of defeat.

faced the splashes head-on, speeding along, dodging dangerous attacks, pushing forward step by step.

Little Fool sat at the very top of New Blanket Fortress. If water came flying at her, she would raise her hand to create an air wall for protection. She watched battles erupt everywhere in the fortress, as Young Witches charged and employed crossfire tactics; a single volley from water guns could force a large number of enemies to capitulate. What a dire scene it was, the fortress soaked by water guns, likely needing hours to repair the damage from war!

By the time Little Fool fell asleep and woke up again, the battle for New Blanket Fortress, one for the history books, had ended. 102 had finally taken back New Blanket Fortress as the day was nearly over! With a numerical disadvantage, she turned defeat into whimsical victory by dousing the rebellion’s last hope with a basin of water too heavy for others to lift.

After being recrowned as the ruler of New Blanket Fortress, 102 generously fulfilled her promise to Little Fool.

"You shall have any gift you desire," said 102.

Little Fool thought briefly and had her answer; she couldn’t ask too much from the young ruler. New Blanket Fortress produced little, with unruly and proud citizens.

Later on, people from Nestor Headquarters could see Little Fool dragging two large boxes of pure milk back to her residence, moving slowly, often falling due to the weight. Passersby had to help her carry them to bring the milk home.

Little Fool opened the milk boxes and stacked the milk into the shape of a pile of spoils and treasures, then lay on top of one of the milk cartons to sleep.

"Where did you get so much milk from?" Xu Yang asked upon his return, seeing Little Fool with her pile of spoils.

Little Fool couldn’t muster the energy to explain the battle for liberation to Xu Yang; she stood up from the pile of milk, leaped towards him, and hugged his neck. After all, daddy’s arms were safer. Daddy was the best.
