Chapter 483: Chapter 431: Unique
```
With the release of the new testing report, the citizens of Anjiu City no longer had to manually filter their drinking water, and their attention had shifted to that newly emergent primitive forest, which had completely transformed the surrounding ecology.
Different people had different ways of naming the vast forest that had grown from Garbage Hill.
The Corporate Alliance labeled it as a specialized mysterious academic disaster and were appealing for manpower to investigate and handle it at their discretion; those who longed for its brilliant exterior called it the Majestic Woodland, adding a layer of fantasy to it; while those living nearby simply referred to it as the Gigantic Forest, unanimously.
"’The Sixth Sanctuary,’" Farosa said, sitting in the hall, correctly naming it the most suitable title, "Following the other five forests belonging to the Forest Master, this is the sixth forest capable of carrying its Divine Power."
She was holding the young Laila Medusa in her arms, a Young Witch whose eyes emitted red lasers, needing to wear her Rune Eyeband at all times, nearly blind as a result.
Farosa’s fingers massaged Laila’s face over and over, the gentle touch emanating from her fingertips, as she pressed them down in succession like plucking the strings of a harp.
Initially, when the eyeband was put on, Laila felt bewildered and panicky, until Farosa provided her with tender consolation, and she finally felt a long-lost sense of peace.
Such an ancient and immense woodland naturally attracted photography and video recordings, with teams from various media companies gathering around the woodland, continuously documenting the enigmatic forest and observing how it autonomously moved and devoured garbage.
The colorful plants that seemed as if lifted from a children’s comic book instantly caught the attention of the Young Witches.
"They all look like valuable magical plants," giggled a Young Witch standing next to Farosa, her hands clasped behind her back, "Let’s go snatch them away."
"Mother Farosa, only we are fit to control this forest, it should be under your care," another Young Witch said loudly.
"Yes, yes!" the other Young Witches echoed with laughter, their eyes gleaming with excitement and a bloodthirsty light.
Having spent a good amount of time with Farosa, the Young Witches had learned many valuable qualities from her. They were all ambitious, enterprising, and extremely deadly.
A group of smart kids. Farosa was very satisfied. Who said they couldn’t become dazzling Witches in the future? Under Farosa’s upbringing, each of them harbored an endless pursuit of power and wisdom, eager to become stronger, competing with each other to stand out, all to win Mother Farosa’s favor.
Farosa was pleased; it was as lively as an Empress’s court in the Middle Ages, with everything revolving around her.
The Little Fool walked into the hall, learning how to communicate with others, surrounded by Young Witches, which made her nervous.
Xu Yang had not returned yet, and Little Fool had no choice but to learn how to live on her own. She knew that if she couldn’t be independent, she would eventually be despised by everyone, thus she needed to work hard to master the skills of living and socializing, yet because of her innate reasons, these basic tasks were also very difficult for her.
"Guabu." She stood in the corner of the hall, hugging herself, tiptoeing to look at the group of Young Witches huddled around Farosa, clearly out of place.
"Hey, look at this poor thing," four Young Witches approached, taunting the Little Fool with snide comments.
These four girls belonged to the second tier of this small society, lacking the courage to gather around Mother Farosa, but more than capable of picking on the Little Fool.
They were dressed in brand-new spring uniforms, including black capes, lightweight wool shirts with white skirts, matched with white over-the-knee socks and brown leather boots. Meanwhile, the Little Fool was still in her ill-fitting pajamas, instantly becoming an outsider in their eyes.
"She can’t even speak."
"So pitiful, truly the Little Fool."
"As ugly as a bug."
"I heard she still drools."
The hurtful words struck directly at the Little Fool’s heart, her gaze scattering for a moment. The Little Fool understood the mockery, which was what she found most unbearable; she would rather not understand anything at all, treating the din as mere noise.
What to do?
Humiliation was like a blade, leaving scars in the Little Fool’s heart that were hard to erase.
Numerous chaotic thoughts swirled in the Little Fool’s mind at once. She thought of many complex issues, snippets and fragments flashing through her mind, yet her intellect did not allow her to ponder any of them.
An uncomprehending impulse made her raise her hand, and magic power surged from the circuits within her, gathering in her palm to release.
Bang!
A wall of air abruptly appeared, moving forward with great force. The repelling barrier, like a train or Giant Wheel, slammed into the few Young Witches, who suddenly felt a tidal wave of power surge against them, trying to push them away. Panicked, they screamed as they were flung to the ground.
"Ahh—"
"It hurts!"
"Help—"
They curled up on the ground in agony. Little Fool watched them topple, knowing this was just a fraction of her power. She could also use some of the most basic Ninjutsu, a slight application of which could astound those arrogant Young Witches.
Little Fool had learned much from Xu Yang, and his qualities had shaped her personality to a certain extent. She quietly regarded the fallen Young Witches and lifted her head to indicate that she would not be infringed upon, without pursuing further attacks.
"Wow..."
```
"It’s actually..."
"She just..." Seeing this scene, the other young witches couldn’t help but hold their breath in awe. Even within the Witch Home, where ordinary and unremarkable magic power is quite common, the young witches still secretly compared each other’s powers, and those possessing strong, rare magic powers were revered by others, which was only natural.
At this moment, Little Fool suddenly ranked among the "powerful" in their hearts, and many young witches secretly admired her for easily defeating that group that often colluded and ostracized others.
Farosa had been paying attention to this scene from the beginning, keeping an eye on any changes in these worm-like witches, knowing that upon maturity, some would transform into beautiful beings, while others would fall into obscurity, just as in the Middle Ages, shaped by their nature.
"Let me see what’s happened here," Farosa stepped towards the young witches who had been knocked down. Hearing Farosa’s footsteps approaching, an uncontrollable fear arose from the depths of their hearts.
The only one who can subdue the little bad ones is the biggest bad of all. Little Fool thought to herself. They would never learn their lesson, no matter how many times they were knocked down unless that biggest bad influenced them.
"Guabu." Her complex thoughts were summarized into a short phrase, as if making an eternal judgment on this world.
"You’re a special one, aren’t you?" Farosa scrutinized Little Fool, who had been an utter fool when she first found her, but now seemed to possess intelligence, "Oh, poor Little Fool."
Little Fool shook her head.
"Xu, Yang." She pointed to her own face.
Farosa then tasted Little Fool’s utterly unique temperament, the most remarkable she had ever encountered.
"I hope it’s not just an illusion," Farosa touched Little Fool’s hair and then turned to look at the four young witches who had just gotten up, "Change your despicable temper, or I will personally teach you a lesson."
"Ah ah..."
"We dare not!"
"Mother Farosa, please forgive us!" They cried out one after another, each trying to outdo the others in demonstrating their remorse.
Little Fool’s gaze swept across these young witches in the room, undoubtedly, there was a dangerous tendency among them. Little Fool still found this complex phenomenon difficult to understand, but she knew that if she mingled with them, she would end up as one of the countless sacrifices to the great bad, Farosa. Thus, she quietly retreated before the other young witches could notice her slipping away.
She had given up on them.
Then she climbed the stairs, stairs of the Shijin Mansion she could not be more familiar with, and arrived at the Witch Activity Room, where older witches did their own things, living leisurely lives, entertaining or training.
She needed a weapon, Little Fool thought, remembering the ninja on the Ninja Scrolls holding a knife in his mouth.
It would be safer to just grab one from the food preparation area, but if the inventory was off, those iron-boned maids would become frantic on the spot.
Which among these witches would be willing to give her a knife, Little Fool observed carefully.
The twins? One brainless, the other never pleased. Or that creepy shapeshifter? Always deceiving herself with changing appearances. And the one who was inseparable from her, that white-haired long-legged one, always walking around, ready to squash Little Fool flat at any moment—very dangerous!
Watching Mizuiro Yoshioka play with the Ink Beasts dripping from her hand and the table, Little Fool crawled onto the other end of the table.
"Hey, where did this cutie come from?" Mizuiro Yoshioka quickly shaped the ink into a tiny butterfly, letting it walk across the table with its wings, quite amusing, "Do you want some milk?"
"Guabu." Little Fool took hold of the ink, drawing the outline of a knife on the tabletop, and then miming a slicing motion in the air.
"You want a little knife?" Mizuiro Yoshioka was incredulous, "Why? Are you going to peel an apple? Or something else?"
"Guabu." Little Fool was composed, as if confident in her request.
Mizuiro Yoshioka was impressed by her mastery over every situation and felt compelled to pull out a small folding knife from her pocket and give it to her.
"If you hurt someone, or cause any trouble," Mizuiro Yoshioka warned, "I’ll paint your face like a big clown."
"Guabu!" Little Fool nodded to her and then forcefully flipped the folding knife open, easily jumped down from the table, and walked away step by step.
For the entire afternoon that followed, Little Fool bit the small knife in her mouth, silently reciting the complicated characters recorded on the Ninja Scrolls and drawing and manipulating the energy present in the air around her in the ancient manner.
After trying about a thousand times and failing, she demonstrated a remarkable patience for failure, a trait the other young witches lacked.
Whooosh—
After countless attempts, Little Fool’s body suddenly shot forward, nearly hitting the wall. She fixed her gaze on the wall just inches away, made a fist to measure the distance between herself and the wall, then turned to look at her original position, which was about fifteen meters away.
Little Fool placed the folding knife on the bedside table in Xu Yang’s room, then was overwhelmed by a strong sense of weariness and curled up on the floor to sleep.
Late at night, around eleven, she was shaken awake.
"Why are you so tired today? What happened?" Xu Yang said as he returned carrying several bags, "I bought you a lot of new clothes; we’ll look at them tomorrow."
"Guabu." Little Fool was picked up from the ground and placed on her tiny bed nearby, stretched lazily, and then rolled over to continue sleeping.
