Chapter 413: Chapter 372: Assault on the Ship

Lu Sizhou witnessed meteor showers fill the sky, and the illusion of the Angel at Anjiu City Port shattered by the starlight. This information led her to believe that the situation was escalating further.

"Advise immediate evacuation from Anjiu City until the supernatural phenomenon dissipates," the artificial intelligence "Zhishi" reported.

Lu Sizhou set its combativeness to the highest level.

"Advise immediate launch of nine hydrogen bombs at Anjiu City to eliminate the threat to human civilization," the artificial intelligence reported.

"If we do that, there will be nothing left," Lu Sizhou turned around, knowing she couldn’t leave so lightly.

It was often said that strange incidents frequently occurred in Anjiu City, and today, she had witnessed it herself. Understanding through investigation is the core philosophy of Heavenly Cardinal Manufacturing, and Lu Sizhou must find out what had happened.

Moreover, she wanted to control the whole situation.

"Contact Kirino Reisei," Lu Sizhou instructed, needing to communicate with the current acting president of Kyoto Infinity.

"Yes."

The message reached Nanase Kizuna, who immediately responded. As a great Monster, she did not require sleep and was staying up all night working on the drafts for "Siphon!", with no interest in watching the meteor storm.

As a senior figure of Heavenly Cardinal Manufacturing, Lu Sizhou could not be neglected.

"We need to requisition your Reality Manipulator, Tenjouin Zina," Lu Sizhou got right to the point, "Of course, we will pay a substantial reward."

Tenjouin Zina...

"No problem," Nanase Kizuna hesitated for a moment but still agreed, after all, Kyoto Infinity needed every bit of funds, "Please allow me to transfer your communication link to the Tenjouin Family."

Due to the decline of Kyoto Infinity, it was difficult for Nanase Kizuna to command Tenjouin Zina. Zina stayed with Kyoto Infinity only out of passion for anime production, even refusing to animate Nanase Kizuna’s "Siphon!". But Nanase Kizuna could not show her dejection in front of others.

When Tenjouin Zina got up in her pajamas, she received the communication from Lu Sizhou.

"Miss Tenjouin," Lu Sizhou spoke, "I need you to use your Magic Power to intervene in the mysterious attack at Anjiu City Port."

"Use All Directions Stop to lock down every creature in the port?" Tenjouin Zina pondered, "Completely doable."

Lu Sizhou strategized aboard the shuttle.

"...When the time is most suitable," she said, "stop everything, we take over everything."

"Do you need our fleet?"

"If it’s available, of course, that would be best," Lu Sizhou said, "Then we can capture every valuable person."

At this moment, Xu Yang was slowly decreasing the altitude of the Innovation.

High above, the cold and lack of oxygen were unsuitable for any creature to remain for long, and those minutes up there had been particularly tough; the Nano Armor "Cloud Beast" had taken on too much for him.

"We can’t return directly to Anjiu City," Xu Yang messaged Lila, "Such a significant astronomical event will surely have additional detectors launched. I need to take a slight detour with the Innovation, circling back in about 15 minutes."

"Understood," Lila answered.

Xu Yang turned to observe Farosa; her eyes were squinting as she fought against mental fatigue.

Farosa’s head was still echoing with the wails of witches from around the world. She curled up in her seat, her consciousness simultaneously dealing with three tasks: digesting these pleas first, then scheming how to torture and kill the enemies at hand, and finally, relaxing part of her mind to rest, thereby achieving rotation.

She kept searching for the most comfortable position, tired ever since making New Year wishes, she closed her eyes to seize every second of rest she could.

"This won’t end so quickly, will it?" Farosa rested her tense nerves but was still concerned about everything on the ground. She looked forward to the pleasure of tormenting her enemies.

"Yes, we still need to send armed forces to attack the Angel and Mireya and take them down," Xu Yang continued trying to hack into the Haiyun, and as the signals gradually recovered, his efforts began to bear fruit. One or two corner cameras were under his control, which helped him sketch out the structure of the Haiyun and forward the intelligence to Lila.

"Without me, conventional arms are utterly ineffective," Farosa scoffed.

"But we still have to rely on Synthetic Humans," Xu Yang said earnestly, "We can’t afford the cost of any witch being subjected to Mireya’s Mind Control. You’ve seen those civilians and Defense Army Soldiers; they had no chance in front of Mireya."

"...Yes," Farosa pressed her forehead, "Once my spirit recovers a bit, I will quell everything on board the ship."

"Speaking of restoring power, are those methods we’ve used before still suitable for you?"

"What do you think?" Farosa opened her eyes.

At that moment, Lila was deploying the battle plan.

The meteor shower had diverted people’s attention, allowing Lila to deal with Haiyun calmly.

If the media had all gathered at the port, whatever they did would become very troublesome, every detail would be headline news, but thanks to the celestial wonder summoned by Farosa, those annoying headline-chasing reporters were now temporarily away.

Multiple "Mastiff" type combat vehicles were mobilized from various areas of the city, loaded with a large number of B-Type Synthetic Humans, besides, there were two medium-sized riot control shuttle machines, carrying 24 soldiers from the Nestor Legion.

The Nestor Legion was Lila’s most elite and capable force, which she had recruited over the past six months; tough soldiers, many from The Flying Birds Group, with others from security firms and mercenary organizations—all with military backgrounds, their combat power far surpassing that of Defense Army soldiers and regular security personnel.

"Lieutenant Aledy, report the situation," Lila ordered.

Aledy was a competent soldier, like Lila, hailing from Thousand Lakes Electronics. Since the company was crushed by the awakened Frost Giant tribe, Aledy had to leave and travel around the world, seeking a reliable security company to work for.

When Aledy saw Lila’s resume, she realized it was a good opportunity. With a "why not give it a try" attitude, she came to Anjiu City, scored high on every armed test, and was appointed by Lila as the main officer of the Nestor Legion.

"All units in place," Aledy reported crisply, "60 B-S, 24 LG, 16 IC, 6 trucks, 2 reconnaissance planes, 2 RCS, will arrive in the Port District in 30 seconds."

For security reasons, she substituted crucial information with old military symbols from Thousand Lakes Electronics, which felt familiar to Lila, as if returning to the early years of service, where everything was about professional efficiency.

"Stand by upon arrival, initiate the assault within 1 minute," Lila said.

Her words made Aledy profoundly respect her.

Aledy had also never met a commander as decisive and efficient as Lila; she moved soldiers like chess pieces, quickly deploying each military unit into position, organizing everyone to move towards the globally optimal solution.

Under Ms. Lila’s guidance, always ready to seize victory!

Jubilation like that of a carnival filled Aledy’s heart as she tightly embraced her main battle rifle.

The rest of the legion soldiers inside the cabin feared not war and death but the beautiful and maniacal war freak, Aledy, and even more so President Lila Nestor, who seldom revealed her true form.

Lila’s commands were as precise as a scalpel, able to instantly sever the heart of their doubts, leaving only unconditional obedience.

The Nestor Legion advanced, the riot control shuttle machine above was equipped with 5 cannons of different calibers, 1 multiple rocket pod launcher, and 4 guided missiles.

Below the shuttle machines, the tracks of the "Mastiff" type combat vehicles rolled forward, crushing the road, their small-caliber energy cannons aimed ahead, the hovering cannons and missile nests hidden behind.

The legion’s weaponry was exquisitely cold, and its soldiers were elite and strong. All the citizens fortunate enough to witness the troops on their way couldn’t help but stand in awe.

To subdue the mysterious threat at the port, the Nestor Legion mobilized its full strength, ready to sweep away all enemies with a maximum firepower posture.

Before long, Aledy led the Nestor Legion to the Port District, encircling the Haiyun.

"Mind Control Witch threat; large, highly-destructive, mysterious creature threat," Lila commanded. "Synthetic Human waves to attack, Human units to remain hidden, do not board the ship."

"Received; commencing attack!" Aledy commanded from the air.

On the ground, B-Type Synthetic Humans jumped down one after another from the combat vehicles, wielding their main battle rifles to launch a ferocious assault.

The 60 B-Type "Elite Soldiers" were split into 4 groups, each equipped with extra individual anti-armor rockets, fully automatic grenade launchers, and Gauss kinetic rifles. The combat vehicles behind them adjusted their barrels prompted by their automatic fire control systems, always ready to offer long-range firepower support.

This was a hunt for supernatural powers! Aledy thought to herself as she monitored the situation in the Port District from her observation post. Humans could instantly crush Witches with orbital weapons and beyond visual range strikes—most Witches couldn’t withstand the bombardment of long-range firepower carpet bombing, with century after century of Witch rampages coming to an end in Witch defeat, death, or capture.

So, what difference is there between an Angel who can sing high and wield a flame sword, and a Witch with a few old treasures? Humanity has killed numerous mighty foes throughout history, one more prey makes no odds.

Blast that Angel into the sea... dissect her corpse and display it in a museum! Aledy revealed a bloodthirsty grin.

Pressure from all sides was bearing down on the depths of Haiyun.

The lavishly attired Angel, kneeling and praying at the center of the cabin, quietly stood up—now she must shield the entire ship as it departs.

Her will captured the scene outside; the fearless Synthetic Humans were charging towards Haiyun.

That made the Angel feel abhorrence.

Unable to defeat Farosa, can’t she at least crush these metals? The Angel thought darkly.
