Chapter 374: Chapter 338: Ultimate Experience
"It’s over," Lila judged in advance, as she could see everything clearly.
The backyard was spacious enough, and the guests had stepped back in advance, hoping to give A100 a bit more space to maneuver, but it had reached its limit. The wounds on its back started to catch fire, and engine oil dripped down. The crowd was filled with mixed emotions; they wanted to see it continue fighting but also wished for an end to its suffering.
The scales of victory tilted toward Nemesis Armament, who attacked A100 with increased frequency, the blades stabbing repeatedly and finally catching up with its rhythm.
Two clangs resonated, making one’s heartstrings tense.
A100 was skewered through both sides by Nemesis Armament, lifted high into the air.
"Look..."
"It’s over!"
"That’s it?"
The onlookers exclaimed in surprise, as the sound of Nemesis Armament became even more grating, as if it were declaring its victory. It violently smashed A100 to the ground, ensuring its utter defeat.
A100 rolled away, trying to crawl out in a mortifying posture. It managed to leave the circle, struggling to get up, aware of the mocking and disdainful gazes of the people. It just retreated, a great sense of shame forming in its cognitive module.
Synthetic Humans don’t experience such nuanced psychological activities. It was only the reaching of a set threshold that forced it to play out an escape, staggering away from the scene like a fleeing soldier.
In an instant, people forgot the whole fight, only remembering the harsh clangs of their weapons colliding. If nothing else happened, by evening they would only remember Nemesis Armament’s victory. As for the losing A100, it could only disappear swiftly.
"Type A robots aren’t that impressive, after all," Ya Kou Liu Li slightly smiled, watching her "child" triumph.
"There are impressive models," Kanako said in a coy tone. She knew that A40 was wanted and couldn’t join the battle, but she still glanced at Lila from afar, hoping for a miracle.
A100 retreated to Xu Yang and Lila’s side, looking more anguished than it ever had, bound by the shame of defeat.
"I have lost," A100 looked at Xu Yang despairingly, "I have failed you."
"It’s tricky," Xu Yang said, "Nemesis Armament is now famous."
A100 paused.
"I would not wish to tarnish the reputation of the Type A robots with my own folly," A100 said with difficulty.
"You mean..."
"Let Senior A40 enter the battle," A100 requested.
To put A40 in the fight? Xu Yang looked at the field. Not only was Nemesis Armament still strong, but its armor was also sturdy. If they lost to Nemesis Armament again, it wouldn’t just be Type A robots facing humiliation, but their reputation as well. Furthermore, if A40’s identity was revealed, it would be difficult for them to leave alive.
But if they won, they could secure investment, and halt the expansion of Nemesis Armament.
This Nemesis already had great potential. Should it receive the full support of Xisheng Group, its production capacity would quickly escalate, eventually forming an invincible army of intelligent machines, just as Ya Kou Liu Li had planned.
After a brief consideration, a decision was made.
"Let’s go," Xu Yang said, leading A100 to find A40. "We probably can’t let it enter the battle directly. This burden still rests on you."
"What can I do?" A100 sighed.
Accordingly, Lila walked into the yard.
"Ms. Ya Kou Liu Li," Lila said, "Do you know that the most exceptional ability of Third Generation AI is learning? Although A100 has lost this moment, it will soon learn from the entire battle’s experience and become even stronger. It is learning right now, and once it completes its learning, it will defeat Nemesis Armament."
"That’s meaningless, a win is a win," Ya Kou Liu Li said, focused on securing her investment, "Regardless, everyone has already witnessed the power of Nemesis Armament."
She hurriedly turned to Kanako.
"Kanako!" Ya Kou Liu Li smiled, "What do you think?" She was desperate to bring her Synthetic Humans into production, eager to climb higher within her family.
"Nothing much," Kojima Kanako did not take a clear stance.
"Is this a Second Generation AI?" Oohara Risa suddenly spoke up, "When I was in Taixi Continent, I often heard about the technological rivalry between the Second and Third Generation AI. The core issue is... despite the Second Generation AI being so refined, it has reached the end of its development and will inevitably give way to the Third Generation AI, capable of infinite learning."
Oohara Risa was a very intelligent woman, and Ya Kou Liu Li could sense the provocative intent in her words. Standing behind her were the forces of her future husband’s family; she was there to manage risks. This marriage was not just an economic alliance but also a union of intellect and knowledge.
It was crucial to verify the full potential of Nemesis Armament.
"Then... let it go back to learn," Ya Kou Liu Li sent Nemesis Armament back to her side, "I can even make some minor adjustments, repair and strengthen it."
Back at the Anonymous.
Xu Yang opened the door of the Shuttle Machine, where A40 sat cross-legged like a meditator, then descended upon being called, standing in front of them.
A100 noticed a dramatic change in A40.
The once spirited, radical, and irritable senior was now as reticent as a hermit, silently staring at it.
"Senior, are you questioning my potential?" A100 smiled wryly, "This is something I must go through. I fought with other robots and failed, now only with senior coming out of retirement can all of this be saved."
A40 pointed at himself, then shook his head.
"Senior is unwilling?" A100 was startled, "Isn’t fighting what you desire?"
A40 pointed at himself more forcefully, then shook his head again.
"I understand..." A100 sighed, "I shouldn’t have disturbed senior."
A40 spread his hands, glanced at Xu Yang, and then at A100.
"Learn from this experience." Xu Yang recorded the information of the previous battle between A100 and the Nemesis Armament and now handed it over to A40, "You have to learn the Nemesis Armament’s fighting style, then deduce its weaknesses and teach them to A100."
A40 received the combat document sent by Xu Yang. Understanding, it nodded. It had done something similar during the Colosseum battles, perusing images of the opponent, then learning and improving from them.
The fight itself was not long, but A40, with its extremely rich combat experience, analyzed and deduced the Nemesis Armament’s logic of battle, then counter-engineered corresponding countermeasures and transcribed them into combat files only their kind could understand.
Then, Xu Yang took out a data cable, connecting the cerebral interfaces of A40 and A100, letting A40 transfer its surefire winning method to A100.
The two Synthetic Humans sat face to face, their eye tubes flickering rapidly until they synchronized.
A40 nodded slowly, A100 unplugged the data cable, got up, and bowed deeply to A40.
"You’re still in a damaged state, and there are few chances given to you." Xu Yang observed A100. Out of courtesy, Farosa had already repaired A100 once before, but certainly wouldn’t spend extra effort to specially restore it again.
"I now have full confidence of victory." A100 stated, A40 had perfectly parsed out Nemesis Armament’s combat style from their previous battle, after all, there were only so many routines a Second Generation AI could utilize.
"Let’s go." Xu Yang led A100 away.
A40 silently watched them leave, then gave a thumbs up.
Surely a grandmaster... A100 was emotional, feeling the deep and earnest sentiment A40 held for its junior, realizing the profound inheritance passed down among the A-type robots—something that the conservative, outdated Second Generation AI could never achieve.
Only one chance with the katana.
A100 was brought back to the vicinity of the arena, where the Nemesis Armament had previously been dented and was now being repaired by Ya Kou Liu Li using Magic Power, leaving the outer shell as pristine as if it had just come off the assembly line with no signs of filth.
It raised its sword, the processor for battle now loaded with the anti-Nemesis plan devised by A40.
There were more people on the grounds.
The guests who had missed the first match were disheartened but hearing that there was to be a second fight, they all flocked to the venue on foot. This was the perfect stage to prove the vaunted learning capacities of the so-called Third Generation AI.
"It will win this time, won’t it?" Kanako said, "Isn’t it supposed to be learning or something?"
"It won’t win." Ya Kou Liu Li watched the approaching A100, yet felt that even its aura had changed.
A100 asked Kamibayashi Kurou for a new katana.
Then, it entered into battle.
As the battle commenced, A100 aimed its sword at Nemesis Armament. A100 still carried wounds, only having the initial 10 seconds to use the A-type robots’ mobility advantage.
Enough.
It lunged forward, swift as a snake, quick as lightning, the strike so fast that Nemesis Armament did not successfully register it, and was hit squarely in the chest in a flash.
Bang!
The tip of the blade still struck the sturdy shell of Nemesis Armament but couldn’t breach the defense. Ya Kou Liu Li was immediately reassured, knowing the armor protection she designed for her robots had no flaws.
Because the strike was so swift, Nemesis Armament flagged it as a high threat. A100 sheathed its sword, then launched a high-speed slash, prompting Nemesis Armament to instinctively anticipate the parry.
But this strike was not aimed at the chest rather, it targeted its right elbow!
After repeated analysis and reading, A40 had discovered that Nemesis Armament’s defensive posture was limited and not agile enough in redeployment, choosing randomly from a set of predefined defensive strategies.
If A100 attacked head-on, Nemesis Armament would tend to opt for a frontal defense! The defensive stance was fixed, and all A100 had to do was predict this move and then destroy its joint!
Crack—
In an instant, A100’s blade cleaved through Nemesis Armament’s right elbow. Its shell was cast in one piece, leaving seams only at the joints. As the blade passed, the arm did not break off but could no longer bear weight, drooping naturally and bending awkwardly.
It was as if a human arm had been completely twisted behind the back, Nemesis Armament now held its sword in the left hand forward, and the right hand behind in an exceedingly ugly posture.
