Chapter 365: Chapter 332: The Great Demon Fox_2

"I seriously doubt your... professionalism," Kamibayashi Himei said.

"Actually, this will make the wedding itself even safer," Lila said, "By taking care of the wildlife today, the day of the wedding will be calm and peaceful."

"A witch is in charge of everything," Kamibayashi Himei said, "It’s just like going back to the time before the Corporate Alliance was established."

"We still have time to replace the security unit," Kurokawa Kana said, "Kurou? What do you think?"

Kamibayashi Kurou bowed his head and said nothing.

Kanako didn’t like this tense atmosphere.

"Enough!" Kanako stood up, "Now is not the time to talk about this."

"All we want is safety," Kurokawa Kana sneered, "Little Kanako, don’t interrupt the adults’ conversation."

"No no... it’s important," Kanako stepped into the middle of the hall, almost blocking Kamibayashi Himei and Kurokawa Kana’s view, taking on their questioning gaze for Lila, then she herself turned to Lila, "...Ah, right! Where has Kirino Reisei gone? The management of Kyoto Infinity has been asking about this! The signal has disappeared!"

"On her way here, her shuttle entered an unmanned area and was forced to land due to an erroneous signal, and we saw an equally damaged drone at the scene," Lila said, "We will soon provide a fair inspection report and locate the whereabouts of Madame Kirino Reisei."

"What about Hosoda Yoshiyuki?" Kamibayashi Kurou’s voice trembled, "Has he arrived?"

"We haven’t found any trace of him," Lila said, "Please rest assured, everything is under control."

"Can you really do it?" Kamibayashi Himei said softly, "This is my son’s wedding, I don’t want any amateurish mistakes."

"I am honored to serve the Xisheng Investment Group," Lila said, "We will also continue our efforts in the future, living up to your trust."

With that, Lila turned around, not giving them an opportunity to continue their questioning, and left the scene.

"That really is an arrogant witch," Kurokawa Kana stared at Kanako, "How did you find such an unreasonable security agency?"

"Until now, everyone’s life hasn’t been disturbed, has it?" Kanako lifted her head, "Let’s not create such a stiff atmosphere before the eve of the wedding, this should be a joyful time."

If possible, Kanako wished that everyone could enjoy the wedding and banquet happily. No squabbles, no conflicts, and no casualties.

Moreover, she was the recommender for Nestor Corporation, essentially deeply bound to it.

"Nestor Corporation’s tactics are very clever; the wedding will be very safe," Yanagawa Fumihiko suddenly spoke. He had seen how cautiously Mack had penetrated Anjiu City, with the whole city enveloped in the detection of magic power. He knew more than anyone present just how fearsome a witch Lila Nestor was, and that she should not be provoked lightly.

"We are paying so much money, shouldn’t we enjoy quality service?" Kurokawa Kana said with scorn, "Who knows if there will be another boar hunting incident at the wedding."

"Nothing will happen," Yanagawa Fumihiko said, "At least while I am here."

"But she’s a freak," Kamibayashi Himei said.

Kanako, disturbed by her family’s disrespectful attitude, ran out to find Lila.

"Lila!" She reached out to her cheerfully.

"Miss Kojima," Lila paused, bowing politely to Kanako.

They crossed the cold courtyard and came out onto the stone pathway outside.

"My family is always like that," Kanako hastily said, "Don’t let them get to you."

"Haven’t you ever worked?" Lila said, "When working for a company, things like what just happened occur every day, I had anticipated this."

"But now... you have your own company."

"Yes, so I just turned around and walked away, instead of staying there and listening on," Lila said.

```
"Miss Nestor... seems a bit angry..." Kanako said, her voice tinged with fear.
"I am indeed angry, there is only one person in the world who can talk to me with such a condescending tone, and he has never done so. Enough about that, Kanako, let’s each attend to our duties. I value this wedding, the contract payment, and the reputation of Nestor Corporation. Therefore, I will not give up, nor will I tolerate anyone trampling on my plans."
Lila left alone. She increased the patrol frequency around the area and released her magic power to track Nanase Kizuna.
The big fox was fleeing swiftly through the forest, flanked by 101 and 102, looking very pathetic, and was clearly within Lila’s insight. It should be caught soon, but the problem was that Nanase Kizuna could not be directly apprehended; they’d have to find a way to avoid making a big commotion.
"Du Qianqian," Lila communicated to her, "ride into the bamboo forest."
At the mid-mountain ranch, Du Qianqian, proud of having learned to ride, had to change the horse’s direction and head into the bamboo forest on receiving Lila’s message.
"What should I do?" Du Qianqian inquired.
"Take on the appearance of Kirino Reisei." Lila said.
"I don’t think that’s a good idea..."
"Get into character," Lila said, "do what you’re best at."
"Yes." Du Qianqian respected Lila and thus leaned towards complying with her instructions.
Kirino Reisei, Kirino Reisei...
Chanting silently, Du Qianqian transformed into the likeness of Kirino Reisei, and then rode her horse into the bamboo forest. The dense bamboo leaves intertwined, and after the sunset, the environment between the bamboos was especially secluded, almost like an unnamed sinister specter, not to mention the area was deserted and completely silent.
She realized the horse she was riding was also trembling. It let out a low whinny, clearly frightened by something.
Then Du Qianqian rode further into the center of the bamboo forest following Lila’s instructions.
"You will see her," Lila communicated.
"Yes," Du Qianqian adjusted her miniature headset, "Uh... really? I can’t see anything."
It was too dark; Du Qianqian held her breath.
Then she heard a strange low moaning sound, and when she turned her head, she immediately saw a huge phantom.
The horse let out a piercing neigh, panicking and jumping about. She instinctively grabbed the reins, but her feet slipped awkwardly out of the stirrups, and she was turned upside down, before crashing heavily to the ground. She cried out and then crawled up with difficulty, only to see the horse running off into the distance.
The phantom swooped in, and Du Qianqian immediately saw an extraordinarily large, stunningly beautiful pink and white monster fox. It was so beautiful, with soft and fluffy fur, several tails trailing behind it, and it came to a restrained halt next to Du Qianqian. This allowed her to clearly see its green eyes and dark red eyeshadow, along with dewdrops on the black snout of the fox.
Too... beautiful, Du Qianqian held her breath, even as a female monster it was the most beautiful of its kind. Was this the legendary monster?
"Reisei..." Nanase Kizuna crawled over, "You haven’t seen my true form for a long time, have you."
"Aha..." Du Qianqian propped herself up on her elbows, having already taken on the appearance of Kirino Reisei by following Lila’s instruction, copied some magic power, and donned her old clothes which appeared insubstantial.
Nanase Kizuna couldn’t control herself and pounced, dragging her wet tongue across Du Qianqian’s cheek.
"Hold out for a moment," Lila communicated.
How could she hold out! Du Qianqian flipped over and awkwardly crawled forward on the ground.
"I’ve finally seen you again, I won’t let you go this time," Nanase Kizuna said, lying beside Du Qianqian, who could feel its warm and fluffy body, nothing could be more comforting than this natural warm fur.
It felt... quite comfortable.
Unmovable. Du Qianqian tried to push away, but the monster fox weighed at least several hundred pounds.
Forget it; just stay like this until someone comes. Du Qianqian closed her eyes, laying in Nanase Kizuna’s embrace.
