Chapter 362: Chapter 330: The Spirit of Revenge

```
To not take revenge is inhuman.
A40, Kirino Reisei, and Hosoda Yoshiyuki formed a revenge squad.
Kirino Reisei aimed to kill Nanase Kizuna; Hosoda Yoshiyuki aimed to kill Kamibayashi Kurou. A40 didn’t know why it was there, but it knew it had a big fight ahead.
Now, Kirino Reisei’s trump card was very limited; her most relied upon position as the president had been forsaken, and she was being hunted by Nanase Kizuna.
She had no choice but to take a risky move and strike first.
A40 was strong and brave, Hosoda Yoshiyuki was an arsenal in human form, and she herself was familiar with the upper-class rules. Ambushing one Nanase Kizuna, they should have a chance of winning.
"This is it," Kirino Reisei pointed to a vast bamboo grove on the mountain for A40 and Hosoda Yoshiyuki.
The bamboo grove was extensive, interspersed with various elegantly styled classical mansions, with tall walls and fine tiles that had stood the test of time, symbolizing the long history of the nobility.
Upon seeing such a group of buildings, A40 saw monotony, Kirino Reisei was reminded of her old home, and Hosoda Yoshiyuki felt endless hatred. It was these dignitaries, who had prospered from the past to the present, and if no one made a determined effort, they would continue to rule the future. He believed that he was the warrior to fire the first shot, even if he died on this path of revenge, people of the future would continue the struggle.
There was a hidden path up the mountain, which was the path Kirino Reisei took. She had been to Kamibayashi’s old house and thus knew the surrounding terrain.
The road was quiet.
The muddy surface had been baked dry and tough, showing various levels of cracks. On both sides, the underbrush was dense, nearly waist high.
A few towering ancient trees were sparsely dotted about, rising against the rocks as if quietly gazing at them. Over hundreds of years, they had seen numerous ninjas, assassins, and rogue samurai take this path up the mountain to launch attacks on the Kamibayashi family. They had also witnessed how these invaders were slaughtered, their corpses hung outside the estate walls.
Before going up the mountain to kill, A40 signaled them to stop.
It needed to ask its boss for an opinion.
But it was unsuccessful.
"I can’t get in touch with the boss." A40 crouched in the bushes; the communication chip in its head wasn’t very good, after all, it was never designed to be in a remote countryside.
"You guys are really the most unreliable combination," Hosoda Yoshiyuki stopped and turned back, scoffing, "No plan, no strategy, it’s not too late for me to turn around now and leave."
"You only get one chance to avenge your life," Kirino Reisei persuasively said, "You can’t waste your talent and anger on a bunch of drunkards. I have heard of your deeds; it’s really fortunate to have met you."
"Not fortunate at all, you clearly rely on networking," Hosoda Yoshiyuki sneered, "You are one of those big shots, aren’t you? Tracking whoever you want, no one has any privacy in front of you. That’s why you sent someone to find me, to let me join your revenge."
"Do you think you’d be safe there? You know that professional ninjas are watching you. If it weren’t for us sneaking you out, you wouldn’t survive tonight."
"I can protect myself. And I’ve made promises to people who seem more professional than you," Hosoda Yoshiyuki said, "They say, as long as I’m patient, I’ll have plenty of time for revenge afterward."
```

"They are lying to you, how could they willingly let you kill?," said Kirino Reisei, "If you help me kill the Monster, I’m willing to help you kill Kamibayashi Kurou. After the deed is done, not only will you see Kamibayashi Kurou’s corpse, but you will also be able to leave Anjiu City with ease, travel to the Taixi Continent, and make a clean getaway."

"With such strict inspections at the airport, how could I get through?" Hosoda Yoshiyuki felt he was being played for a fool.

Kirino Reisei took out a Special Protection Card; seeing the glittering gold card, Hosoda Yoshiyuki fell silent. Such a high-level Special Protection Card was enough to scoff at company rules.

"My own Special Protection Card is useless since I’m already considered dead in the eyes of the world," Kirino Reisei said, her fingers twirling the card and sliding out a subsidiary card from the back, "But this subsidiary card still holds significant power."

"You’re willing to give it to me?"

"As long as that creature is killed, I shall have no more concerns left in this mortal world," Kirino Reisei stated, "All you envy, money, wealth, and privilege, I will give them all to you."

"Oh, and my invincible power!" A40 looked up, "I want to become the strongest Samurai in the Archipelago Continent!"

"You will get your share too," Kirino Reisei promised.

With that, Kirino Reisei secured the cooperation of Hosoda Yoshiyuki and A40.

"My contacts have also told me," Kirino Reisei looked up, "The big Monster disguised in my image, Nanase Kizuna, will appear right on schedule above our heads. She chose this aerial route up the mountain because it’s also very concealed. Now it’s our turn to ambush her."

"Alright! I’ll wait here," A40 crouched in the bushes.

"I can shoot it down," Hosoda Yoshiyuki climbed up an old tree, "As soon as the Shuttle Machine you mentioned appears, I will blast it out of the sky."

"I’m counting on you," Kirino Reisei nodded slightly.

End this, end all of this quickly. Kirino Reisei was feeling extremely pressured. She must kill Nanase Kizuna and put an end to their tragic existence in this world. To this day, she only harbored feelings of repentance for all she had done. She could not allow herself or Nanase Kizuna to continue living.

It was their open and secret struggles that had killed many innocent people in the Northern Archipelago, Kirino Reisei thought. She had awoken to the realization that she must atone with her death, yet Nanase Kizuna had not, and was even still running Kyoto Infinity.

Thus, she could only proceed in this manner, to bring Nanase Kizuna back to reality with her.

A40 looked at Kirino Reisei’s chaotic face; after returning to her original body, Kirino Reisei’s condition became even more bizarre. It was uncertain if it should continue, but then again, thinking was not its strong suit. Just fight and talk about it when it couldn’t fight any longer.

They lay in ambush for about two minutes, before 101 appeared in front of them with A100 in an instant.

"Who’s there!" Kirino Reisei was startled and quickly drew her handgun.

Without a word, 101 teleported behind Kirino Reisei, attempting to kill her with a Personal Blade, but Hosoda Yoshiyuki, hidden in the tree, fired rapidly. The bullet hit 101’s Armor, causing her to bleed.

Hosoda Yoshiyuki was taken aback.

The opponent’s appearance reminded him strongly of the Witch he had fought before, but that Witch was clearly much tougher than this one in front of him; that Witch couldn’t be defeated by bullets.

Having landed a successful shot, Hosoda Yoshiyuki focused on firing continuously, prepared to kill this Witch.

was shot and immediately disappeared from the scene, considering his own survival as the top priority.

And left A100 on the road.

Although alone, A100 still had to fight.

"I am here to stop you!" A100 clutched the long sword, "I will not let you pass freely!"

"A100!" A40 leapt out from the bushes.

"Senior A40!" A100 was very excited.

"Take this!" A40 pointed his blade at A100.

He had never liked A100, because their parameters were public, so all the visiting companies preferred to hire A100, leaving A40 with no inquiries—until he met his first Brother Fu, which marked the beginning of his career.

"...Then come at me." A100 stood with his sword ready.

Both sides launched Rapid Slashes towards each other, their blades intersecting in the air at the center of the impact path, and with a piercing clang of metal on metal, the two Synthetic Human samurais rolled over each other, tumbling into the muddy ground on the opposite sides.

They got up, sheathed their swords, completely in sync, with no anomalies whatsoever.

Then they collapsed simultaneously to the ground, sparks flying from the slashed areas on their bodies.

"Ah—" Kirino Reisei was startled, not expecting the opponent to be so formidable.

"Damn..." A40 struggled to his feet, more experienced and having reinforced himself for the Colosseum competition, which greatly reduced the fatal damage he received. A100 was already down, with no chance of getting up again.

"The shuttle machine is here!" Kirino Reisei raised her hand, pointing at the small pink shuttle machine approaching Kamibayashi’s old house, protected by two similarly painted military drones.

For the sake of secrecy, low profile, and to save expenses, Nanase Kizuna had brought only two drones for escort, a measure taken out of necessity.

She received a warning from Nestor Corporation and hesitated, slowing down.

Seeing the shuttle machine headed for the wedding, Hosoda Yoshiyuki leapt high from the ancient tree, supporting himself in the air with powerful boosters on his feet like a hawk, then spread his arms wide as the missile nest on his chest opened, releasing a barrage of electromagnetic jamming missiles at the shuttle machine.

Noticing the incoming jamming rounds, the two drones quickly started to maneuver. Nanase Kizuna, not knowing how to pilot the shuttle machine, hastily pressed the emergency ejection button, separating her seat pod from the shuttle and plummeting downwards.

"She’s falling!" A40 watched as Nanase Kizuna’s pod fell like a cocoon.

Hosoda Yoshiyuki, with powerful solo firepower, fired a heat-seeking missile with one hand at the escaping drones, while transforming the other into a heavy machine gun, continuously firing at Nanase’s pod, riddling it with holes!

The escape pod malfunctioned, unstable, and exploded into a ball of flames upon impact with the ground.

Dead? Kirino Reisei’s eyes widened.

Nanase Kizuna died in the explosion. Kirino Reisei covered her mouth, feeling a sense of joy.

"It’s finally over," Kirino Reisei murmured to herself, suddenly feeling relieved. It was all over; she didn’t have to feel sad for the crimes she committed, as she had atoned for it all by her own hands. The culprits were two: Kirino Reisei and Nanase Kizuna, and she had eliminated one of them.

So, when 101 arrived at the scene with 102 in an instant, she wasn’t very moved.

"Good!" 102 pointed at Hosoda Yoshiyuki, "It’s you again!"

Hosoda Yoshiyuki knew he couldn’t beat 102 and seeing no chance of winning, quickly fled the scene, planning a future battle. However, he felt no guilt, as he truly hadn’t made a move on Kamibayashi Kurou.

Only A40 and Kirino Reisei were left at the scene.

was eager to try, ready to apprehend Kirino Reisei.

"Get out of the way, stupid A40!" 102 clenched his fist, "I’m going to take this woman down!"

"I’ve been wanting to spar with you for a while now!" A40 aimed at 102’s chest, "I’ll show you the power of a Synthetic Human!"

Then, Lila was brought over by 101.

"Gunshots will scare the guests, do you know how much trouble it is for me to cover this up?" she said, "You’ve committed a grave sin, A40."

"You can’t shake it," Kirino Reisei said coldly, "I know it’s a very strong, very brave Synthetic Human."

"It can try," Lila drew her sniper rifle.

"Hmm, you’re threatening me too, I don’t buy it!" A40 said fiercely.

disappeared before them, then brought sunbathing Xu Yang and Farosa over.

"What are you doing here?" Xu Yang frowned at the mess around him and then at A40.

Farosa observed Kirino Reisei’s foxy appearance, experienced in the strange magic power.

A40 twirled the blade in his hand.

Wilderness, lone samurai, formidable enemy.

"Let’s fight," Kirino Reisei whispered, a hand on A40’s shoulder, "the time has come."

"Who are you talking to, I don’t know you." A40 pushed Kirino Reisei away, jumping back to Xu Yang’s side.
