Chapter 343: Chapter 312 Precise Strike
Facing threats from two Ancient Mystics simultaneously, Farosa’s expression was indifferent as she held the Godslayer Weapon in her hand.
On one side, the ancient giant deer conjured by the Forest Master stood with dignity, walking on air, lowering its head to gaze at Farosa with eyes full of hate, wrapped in bright gold and green colors on its tough fur.
Farosa had agreed to save the Forest Master, but to this day, she had yet to fulfill that promise. As the initiator of the oath, the Forest Master, was angered.
On the other side, the deceitful Mack had taken the form of a woman, with a short, upturned tail and hands like claws, muttering spells without pause, continuously casting protective miracles upon herself, layering her body with one tier of iridescent light after another, like crowns and veils, to the point where her true form could hardly be seen.
Mack looked from afar at Farosa, who was fully prepared without showing any signs of fear. She found it interesting; the witch was once timid, reserved, with the temperament of a book-loving young scholar, but now she stood with a sword, seemingly well-prepared for combat.
Now that Farosa was fully armored, Mack couldn’t discern her micro-expressions or feel the fear emanating from her.
Could it be that she was prepared to slay her? The sense of wariness in Mack’s heart grew stronger. She had once been insolent to her, so it was unlikely she was without any trump cards.
Faced with unprecedented pressure, Farosa’s figure didn’t move, clutching the Godslayer Weapon tightly in her hands.
She took a deep breath, raised her hand, and pressed a button on the side of her helmet, switching on the communication system.
"Save me," she said.
Receiving Farosa’s distress message, Xu Yang laid out his battle deployment, issuing combat orders in phases, determined to fully eliminate every threat brought by the "deceitful" Mack.
"I’ve connected you to the sensory sharing platform," Xu Yang set up the network communication node. Leveraging the network base station not far underground at Nestor Industrial Park, he transmitted Lila’s digitized sensory reports to Farosa, the same ones used by Pan Ruiyi and Zhang Yunxi. Their actual combat tests showed that this sharing could maximize a witch’s battlefield detection efficiency.
Miyazato Kazama had left specially designed network modules and information panels in the witch armor used by Nestor Corporation, thus achieving unity, providing ample informational support to front-line combat personnel.
With that, Xu Yang synchronized Lila’s sensory system with Farosa’s combat strategy, and Farosa’s helmet became completely sealed. The openings for external observation and the slits for hearing at the sides were all eliminated, shutting off Farosa’s own senses.
For a moment, the world went black for Farosa, and she felt a bit scared.
Then... brilliance!
Instantly, Farosa realized her perspective on observing the world had changed as her body twitched unnaturally because she could almost see the entire world’s skeleton and meridians; she finally understood how Lila usually observed the world—heat, humidity, material, airflow, atmospheric pressure, volatile compounds, electromagnetic radiation, soundwaves... nothing remained a secret.
Noticing a flaw in Farosa, the Forest Master took her by surprise and spewed a dark green flame towards her. Mack, too, seized the opportunity, emitting a soft whistle from her mouth as two orbs of light emerged from behind her, continuously hurling electric shocks at Farosa.
Farosa instantly saw the area in front of her change; the ground beneath her feet marked black with the threat of death, red danger zones encircling her for several feet, with only the distance marked as a green safe area.
She swung the Godslayer Weapon around her for protection and swiftly maneuvered to avoid the bombardment, as lightning bolts exploded nearby, but always half a step away from Farosa.
Boom!
Mack retracted the orbs of light back to her claws, extended her fingers, and sent forth an electric charge. A bolt of lightning caught Farosa, blackening her entire body and sending sparks flashing across the armor.
But it was only for a moment as the recovery magic power pre-stored in her body automatically kicked in, restoring Farosa and her witch armor to their original state.
Occasionally being electrocuted felt wonderful! Farosa pushed the sensation of near-death from electrocution out of her mind. Xu Yang also re-established the connection at the fastest speed, keeping her in this heightened sensory state with only milliseconds of error supported by modern technology.
Mack stood upright, stretching her hand out towards the rocky cave wall.
"Grown with our funding," Mack said, "and now you begin to bite back at us?"
The earth and rock roared and twisted rapidly, and from within crawled out several terrifying rock golems, scurrying towards Farosa, resembling insects and serpents, dark in color and astonishingly fast.
High perception, isn’t that the last piece that was missing for me? Farosa thought to herself. She looked at the rock golems, their speed, and when they would pose a threat to her were all marked.
She didn’t attack them first but reached with one hand behind her, unleashing the Law of Slaughter at the entire Golden Tree. Gray, sickle-shaped magic power transformed into blade-shaped waves of energy, instantly sweeping across the tree.
The phantom of the Forest Master let out a cry, and as it was on its way to attack Farosa, it stumbled forward, crashing to the ground. As it looked back, it let out an even more horrified scream.
Life — ruthlessly stripped away, seven demonic blades in succession swept over, mercilessly peeling away the tree’s life energy. The whole Golden Tree was cut down by magic power, its golden leaves rapidly shedding, each one lifelessly falling to the ground, and the entire Golden Tree decayed and withered, shrinking as it did so. Surrounding mushroom fields also rapidly decayed, instantly darkened by grey shadows.
Mouse Witch Sally was the only one left at the top of the Golden Tree. She had received news from Xu Yang that Mack might be coming and had long ago told the Rat Clan to abandon their homes and villages, retreating to the side of the industrial park to seek shelter. Now as she lay atop the tree and observed, seeing Farosa release her merciless slaughter, she raised her hand to unfold the Law of Growth. A sparkling green glow manifested in front of her, forming almost a barrier, countering the grey shadow of slaughter. The two intertwined and fought each other, both dissolving into invisibility.
"Come down and help," Farosa said coldly.
Sally shook her head. The only healthy part of the entire Golden Tree was the high branch she stood on. She coldly watched the impostor Mack at the end of the cave. When a cat and a mouse locked eyes, one side revealed a greed based on appetite, while the other showed resolve and defiance.
"This burrow is all we have left." Sally’s body shone with a strange colored brilliance, combining divine power with her magic power, she was now beginning to charge her second power — a colossal Electromagnetic Pulse.
Electromagnetic Pulse could interfere with and destroy electronic devices and was usually harmless to living organisms. However, when amplified to the extreme by Sally, dense and strong high-energy electromagnetic radiation could cause intense burns and even completely disintegrate a living body.
To weaken the phantom of the Forest Master by destroying the Golden Tree, Farosa then turned to Mack’s summoned rock monsters, swinging her sword with mighty force.
The Godslayer Weapon!
With Farosa’s swing, an exceedingly sharp blade glow struck the rock monsters. Its power was so great that it caused violent explosions the moment it collided with the rocks. The lethal shockwave burst forth instantly, blowing most of the rock monsters to pieces, leaving the ground strewn with broken rocks and cracks!
The more she understood, the more composed she became.
Initially, based on the scouting system shared by Lila, just a small area of decipherable information was complex enough to dazzle Farosa. But as the fight progressed and Lila continuously optimized the configuration, removing useless information, Farosa had previously monitored the entire city by sensing magic power and the Mind Core Chip. Now, she focused on detecting the small Golden Tree area, not only with greater precision but also with real-time transfer.
With improvements, Farosa no longer found this perceptive method cumbersome and quickly mastered this approach to reading the battlefield. She evolved towards a transcendental existence, her mind already intricate, matching the data flow precisely.
She wasn’t fighting alone, but with the help of the entire system, delivering the most efficient attacks.
She released the Law of Slaughter towards Mack, her magic power hitting the protection around Mack, only weakening a part of his protective miracle.
"You’ve become quite a nuisance," Mack scoffed.
It let out a soft chirp, causing the ground to rumble, as if an invisible giant beast underground was rapidly rising.
Farosa saw the unstable readings of the ground in front of her change dramatically and quickly retreated backward.
Bang!
With a loud noise, the ground in front of her cracked rapidly, black rocks appeared full of fissures, and a powerful current of heat surged from them. The magma from beneath the crust kept erupting, spewing flames in all directions!
The Law of Recovery! Farosa tried to repair the fissures, and the cracks on the ground surface momentarily reverted, but were again blown apart by the next eruption of high-temperature magma.
She could only rapidly release magic power, continually restoring areas, but the lava flow summoned by Mack came from deep within the planet, beyond Farosa’s control.
The ground kept getting destroyed... Farosa retreated, avoiding being swallowed by the sudden large fissures. If she fell into the abyss, there would be no return.
"If you can keep this up..." Mack chuckled lightly, not only converting the field into a lava flow, but it also continued to release lightning at Farosa, forcing her to maneuver, repair herself, and restore the topography simultaneously, putting her in a difficult and painful situation. Farosa couldn’t even stand steady, much less threaten Mack with a frontal assault.
Under the influence of Mack’s powerful miracle, the Abyss cave became extremely unstable. The broken rocks underfoot exploded, countless fire columns shot up into the sky, then turned into high-temperature lava flows that fell down from above, like a merciless rain of fire.
The thin rock ceiling was smashed open by flying stones, cracks spreading everywhere, creaking, unable to withstand the pressure of the sea. The whole cave could be flooded by the sea at any moment, swallowed by the erupting magma below and the pouring water above.
Farosa was struggling to hold on. The phantom of the Forest Master felt the sorrow of the trees being destroyed and remained silent, coldly staring at Farosa, waiting for her moment of weakness.
With such a demigod phantom threatening from behind, Farosa could never go all out.
Suddenly, Mack caught a flash of light on one side as a witch, accompanied by two heavy-armored witches, teleported in.
The full battle began.
