Chapter 308: Chapter 279 Unsheathe
```
Seeking the Godslayer Weapon was a task that fell squarely on Lila’s shoulders, as only she was able to quickly lock onto and distinguish its location in complex environments.
With her sniper rifle in hand, Lila entered the ruins of the Colosseum Arena. A40, the other samurai, and the trapped entrepreneurs had already left, presumably moved to safer locations. She spread her sensing magic power, searching for the Godslayer Weapon that Xylophia had left behind.
The blade lay on the corridor floor, wrapped in linen, as if forgotten by all. She climbed the stairs and picked up the mysterious weapon, which was shrouded in a merciless aura. This entire weapon was a masterpiece of Middle Ages’ craftsmanship and mysticism.
It was hard to refuse the weapon, and even harder to hand it over to Farosa, but it was her personal belonging. Xylophia had almost lost her life to carry it to this day; Lila had no reason to claim it as her own.
She rotated the Godslayer Weapon in her hands slightly, recording its parameters, patterns, marks, and materials on every side, ensuring it was in perfect condition, then wrapped it on her back and swiftly left the corridor, completely leaving the Colosseum Arena behind.
Even so, Lila still felt a surge of impulse to humiliate Farosa.
"How does it feel, little Princess?" Lila asked, holding the Godslayer Weapon as she returned indoors. "Being the center of the world’s attention must feel very good, doesn’t it?"
"..." Farosa’s expression remained unchanged as she extended her hand. "Hand it over to me."
Lila passed the Godslayer Weapon to Farosa. She drew it from its bindings, the blade trembling violently, emitting a series of sharp cries, as if rejoicing at the return of its former owner.
"This is part of my true power." Farosa held the handle in one hand and the blade in the other, lifting it upwards, gaze intense as she stared directly at the blade. Her expression continually shifted from initial exhilaration to growing solemnity.
Xu Yang noticed that Farosa’s demeanor had changed, but she also seemed more anxious.
"What is it?" Xu Yang inquired.
"Once this blade strikes, the world will change again." Farosa strapped the Godslayer Weapon on her back. "Its assault, just like my initial awakening, will stir the world again."
"Maybe we could lessen the impact if we control its power," Xu Yang pondered.
"There’s no turning back now," Lila said. "Farosa, because of you, we’ve already spent too much energy on the Godslayer Weapon. If we don’t let it unleash its effects, it means all our efforts will be meaningless. So, you must strike."
She drew the blade.
Farosa took a deep breath.
She waved the blade lightly through the air; even the slightest cut caused the air to tear, leaving behind a visible void in its wake.
"A weapon this powerful shouldn’t be used lightly," Farosa pointed the sword in the direction of Yama. "...But once it’s used, it should be done thoroughly, leaving no room for future trouble."
"Let’s deal with Yama first, then discuss future plans," Xu Yang agreed. "We don’t have much time."
Meanwhile, at the port district of Anjiu City, Yama had beaten the Ocean Descendant Clares the Second to the brink of death. It had only been made especially strong due to Sally’s Law of Recovery, but its experience and combat awareness were lacking, making it no match for Yama now.
At that moment, Yama was entwined in a thick shell of wailing souls, souls bound by the Monster’s curse screaming on its skin, symbolizing the doomed fate of all those it had slaughtered. It roared ferociously, tearing apart Clares the Second’s shell, flattening everything in the port as the two massive monsters fought, destroying facilities and ships alike.
"...Weak beast." Yama rose to its towering height, its face hideously bare as if flayed, a horrific sight, each breath exhaling a deathly aura of nightmares.
"Roar—" Clares the Second lay on the ground, its scales continuously dripping blood.
Yama yearned to taste the blood and flesh of this great Ocean Descendant but it also sensed a formidable opponent appeared.
"It’s you again." Yama saw Farosa—she and a witch clad in black armor had both appeared suddenly about half a kilometer away, having probably reached there through teleportation magic. "...Interesting..."
It raised its head high above, looking down upon Farosa from its elevated position.
"I will make you my eternal slave," Yama said. "You will serve well within my stomach."
"Shut up!" Farosa clenched the Godslayer Weapon, which had other names such as "Tipping Blade" or "Devillis". Its most primitive strike could effectively destroy all forms of divinity, a mighty weapon designed to counter superordinary beings.
```
And once it was imbued with the divine power of the Supreme Witch Farosa, it became an infinitely destructive magic power emitter, its material strong enough to bear more than half of her pure magic power.
Yama fiercely opened its bloodied maw, and within it, a sinister light sphere larger than before abruptly appeared, rapidly encapsulating numerous lost souls within its body, turning them into boundless explosive energy and violently ejecting them towards Farosa.
The piercing sound of surging power rang out as a black beam of sinister light stabbed straight towards Farosa. 101 immediately leaped away, as this battle was still too high-level for her.
"Goodbye, monster," Farosa revealed a chilling smile.
She swung the Godslayer Weapon with all her might, and in an instant, the weapon revealed its true form, enough to slay gods. The deathly aura transformed into a corporeal horizontal blade wave, into which more than half of Farosa’s magic power was gathered, thus its range expanded massively again, covering almost half of the plaza and almost as wide as Yama’s stature!
Boom!
The Godslayer blade wave collided with the sinister light cannon, instantly erasing the laser and in the blink of an eye, it passed through all the power unleashed by Yama, cleaving its original body in two from top to bottom!
"Roar—" Yama was in extreme agony as it let out a world-shaking painful howl! Its entire body began to crack and crumble in an instant, as the shell formed by its concentrated demonic energy was destroyed. It self-ignited under the sunlight, emitting mournful wails. The countless tormented souls it had devoured since ancient times were released from the deepest recesses of its body, now able to disperse peacefully, unbound and untrapped. These wandering spirits glimmered faintly in the air, conveying profound thanks to Farosa.
"Ow ow!" Clares the Second howled, smelling a scent like its mother’s and calling out to Farosa.
Farosa looked up at the crimson giant Ocean Descendant. Now it seemed a bit too bulky.
"I can’t afford to keep you." Farosa released the Law of Recovery towards it and restored it back to the form of a Remote Seasider, and its wounds from the battle with Yama were also healed.
Seeing its perspective shift abruptly from towering over to being on level ground, Clares the Second gazed up at the human buildings again and immediately panicked, letting out a frustrated and anxious cry, before hastily jumping down from the portside and swimming back into the sea.
reappeared in the port, hastily taking Farosa away before her image could be captured.
As Clares the Second and Yama previously clashed, the aftereffects of their battle were too dangerous, causing the photography helicopters in the city’s airspace to hastily depart. By the time they managed to return at full speed, they could only witness Yama’s remains continuing to burn.
Both pilots and media personnel felt a deep sense of shock.
Yama was dead!
"My God!"
"That Ocean Descendant killed Yama!"
"How terrifying!" They couldn’t help but feel an instinctive reverence for the largest blood-red Ocean Descendant in history, almost like a nightmarish or legendary sea monster reborn, poised to bring tsunamis and disasters to the land!
But now, this gigantic blood-scaled Ocean Descendant had become the guardian deity of the city that overcame Yama, deserving of a shrine to be built in gratitude and reverence.
Meanwhile, Xylophia arrived at the airport. Due to the previous clash between A40 and other elite samurai, many of the Black Fire Innovation stationed troops had been driven back. Xylophia entered the waiting hall, found a suitable spot, and lay down to rest, knowing that the Seven Seals would send someone to pick her up, and her fate would continue with the Seven Seals. She still had to wait, believing that daylight would eventually come.
In that case, everything would have reached the best conclusion.
"Ah, you should let all the rich people go!" Seeing Xylophia arrive, A40 hurried over to inquire.
By this time, Xylophia had fallen into a deep slumber, inconvenient to awaken, so it could only look back at the group of samurai behind it.
"That’s bad, the rich people seem to have been devoured by the witch." A40 generated a code of uneasy emotions, "What do we do now?"
"They are our charges; we’ll be held accountable if we go back," the battle robot Galatite exclaimed in fright.
Even so, they didn’t dare to disturb Xylophia rashly, for fear of being vanished.
"Don’t panic, I’ve been through something similar before when a charge suddenly kicked the bucket," A40 pondered, "But I still survived to this day, so there must be a way!"
