Chapter 1179: Chapter 908: End Delivery Service

Xu Cheng was infatuated with the Divine Radiance ship; she piloted it back to Shangjing. The ink-colored, droplet-like ship sliced through the sky at sublight speeds, and all she could see was the misty world on both sides disappearing in the blink of an eye.

"When Chishiki told me you needed me, I came back," the Star Weaving Lady said with a cheerful smile as she sat in the co-pilot’s seat.

"Wow... Chishiki..." It was only then that Xu Cheng realized how much she had misunderstood and criticized Chishiki, who had always been the best Chishiki.

"I missed you," the Star Weaving Lady said happily, "You’ve taken the pilot seat again, and I love your piloting style!"

"Quack quack." Xu Cheng floored the accelerator pedal, the Divine Radiance surged forward; this was Xu Cheng’s ultimate ride. She steered her beloved Divine Radiance towards the Northern Archipelago, back to her home, back to Nestor Headquarters!

"What are you going home for? Didn’t you say you disliked staying on the Northern Archipelago for long?" the Star Weaving Lady asked.

"I intend to fight, to battle Farosa," Xu Cheng said.

"You can’t defeat her!" the Star Weaving Lady exclaimed anxiously.

"She deceived me, and I want her to give me an explanation," Xu Cheng nodded firmly.

"You’ve changed a lot... Never mind, at least I can get you some gear." Unable to stop Xu Cheng, the Star Weaving Lady started pacing around, preparing clothes for Xu Cheng to meet Farosa.

Xu Cheng took off the satchel she was wearing and handed it to the Star Weaving Lady. Inside was Xu Cheng’s finest blue cloak.

"Just clean this." Xu Cheng said.

"Alright~," the Star Weaving Lady elegantly unfurled the blue cloak, "You do have quite an impressive wardrobe, don’t you."

"Where have you been before?" Xu Cheng asked. She hadn’t seen the Star Weaving Lady or the Divine Radiance for a long time.

"I was participating in the blood war," the Star Weaving Lady said, making several fist-pumping gestures, "The six-year blood war between Nestor Corporation and the Seven Seals, with constant bloodshed, and dozens of skirmishes each month, soldiers dying and reviving, it was the same on both sides. We relied on Farosa’s Law of Recovery, they on Dilnai’s divine mandate and the Sky Kingdom’s descent, soldiers and witches died over and over again, morale plunged to its lowest, turning into madness..."

Due to the world’s folding effect, the Northern Archipelago had shifted to the skies over the New Taixi State, enemies encountered; Nestor Corporation sought revenge for the victims of the Heavenly Tribulation, while the Seven Seals, under Dilnai’s leadership, had basically secured control over the Lighthouse Core, gaining New Taixi State’s resources. Both sides projected military forces and nuclear weapons towards each other, and the terrifying war continued for six years, with no peace for a day. Xu Cheng had heard about it but had no idea how to break the stalemate.

If Nestor Corporation continued to be drained by the blood war, they would be powerless to restore world order. Yet Nestor Corporation also couldn’t simply disengage from the blood war and let the Seven Seals do as they please, they must persist in battle.

"I’ll join the blood war when I get stronger too," Xu Cheng said.

"What? I’ve told you how dangerous this blood war is, so why would you want to join?" the Star Weaving Lady was surprised.

If I don’t fight, others will have to fight, Xu Cheng thought quietly. If we don’t finish this blood war, others will have to continue, future generations and little witches will have to keep participating in the blood war.

And if Nestor Corporation were to fail in the blood war, the people of the Seven Seals would rampage everywhere, even Bubble and others couldn’t maintain their peaceful lives.

"I want to protect Bubble," Xu Cheng clenched her fists.

"Bubble isn’t here." the Star Weaving Lady said.

"Bubble isn’t here, that’s why I can protect her," Xu Cheng said.

Divine Radiance arrived at the top floor of Nestor Corporation’s headquarters. Xu Cheng looked at the ever-approaching Nestor logo, feeling a mix of bitter and sweet nostalgia. This was her home, but returning here after so long, Xu Cheng felt like a stranger on familiar soil.

"Xu Cheng, you’ve got it wrong; you should go back to Bubble’s side. She needs you the most," the Star Weaving Lady calculated the situation.

"It’s too late." Xu Cheng opened the cabin door and walked into Nestor Headquarters. The Star Weaving Lady was taken aback. Xu Cheng... she had grown up so much without notice, more like a warrior than a child.

The corridor was bustling, as employees of Nestor Corporation hurried by, busy with company affairs. Not only did they have to focus their efforts on the blood war, but they also had to contain the expansion of restricted areas and investigate the various transformations the alien ecology brought to the world. Nestor Corporation was regarded as the last bastion of humanity, and Xu Cheng was well aware of this, familiar with this ready-for-battle formation.

The energy of the employees inspired Xu Cheng, and with high spirits, she strode towards the location of Farosa, within the Nestor Corporation’s command post.

Standing at the entrance of the command post, Xu Cheng scanned her fingerprint, retinal, and soul characteristics, awaiting the command post members’ approval.

She stood at the door, hands clasped behind her back, taking a deep breath, determined to talk things through with Farosa. No, not just talk things through; she would fight Farosa, even if it meant standing to die, anyway, her father no longer cared about her.

The door opened, and Xu Cheng walked forward. In the next second, she saw Farosa, dressed in a gray-white formal jacket, white shirt, black trousers, and leather shoes, sitting in a chair. There was no one else in the room, only Farosa looking at Xu Cheng with a mocking and disdainful gaze.

Finally, the moment had come, Xu Cheng closed her eyes, and then opened them again.

Face to face with the mastermind, Farosa de Aquilia, the Witch Goddess!

"So—look, our Envoy has returned." Farosa’s lips curled up, her tone dismissive and cold.
