Chapter 382: Chapter 382 I Believe in my Son

The teacher standing behind him was left speechless. She had explained clearly over the phone that his son, Yan Xu, had bullied Luo Tian, not the other way around. Yet, now he seemed ready to start an argument?

Eldest Young Master Yan seemed to ignore the teacher’s call. Only after carefully examining his son’s hands, legs, and face did he ask with concern, "Baby, you are all right, aren’t you?"

The little boy finally let go of his straw, tilting up his little face, he gave Eldest Young Master Yan a satisfied belch.

"Daddy, I’m fine!" The little boy confidently replied. Indeed, he didn’t seem to be in any trouble at all.

"Then why are you drinking milk?" Young Master Yan remembered clearly that, like his mommy, the little boy would have milk before meals. But what had happened? Was it because he hadn’t eaten yet?

The little boy blinked his glossy black eyes and glanced back. Then, he voiced out in a tiny, innocent voice, "Baby boy has nothing to eat..."

Young Master Yan was furious!

His precious son had nothing to eat at school?

Turning around, he glared at the teacher standing behind him.

"Why didn’t my son have anything to eat?"

The teacher was now a little irritated as well. Was this a case of the perpetrator playing the victim?

Wasn’t it his son who had ruined the food by covering someone else’s face with it? But now he was actually questioning why his son had nothing to eat?!

However, despite her anger, the teacher took a deep breath, making an effort to keep herself calm and collected.

"Mr. Yan, didn’t I explain clearly over the phone? Yan Xu tarnished his own food and the vegetables spilled onto Luo Tian’s face. Now, Luo Tian and his parents are in the school infirmary, inspecting his injuries."

Young Master Yan was either not listening or had not paid attention. All he cared about was that something had happened to Yan Xu, his son, so he immediately rushed over, leaving behind a boardroom full of directors.

"Baby, did you spill the food onto a classmate’s face and have nothing left to eat?"

Perhaps a month ago, when the little boy had just returned, Young Master Yan might have believed that the boy could randomly toss food onto someone’s face.

But now, knowing his son better, he was convinced that his son would never do such a nasty thing to a classmate without a reason.

The little boy looked up at him, his shiny eyes brimming with moisture, "Mhm..."

"Why?" Young Master Yan stroked his son’s head, asking patiently and gently, "Can you tell daddy?"

The little boy, however, just clamped his lips shut and stared at him without uttering a word.

"Mr. Yan, Yan Xu’s actions were despicable and impacted his peers negatively. We hope that Mr. Yan can properly discipline Yan Xu and issue an apology and compensation to Luo Tian and his parents."

Young Master Yan stood up, looking at the teacher formally.

"Teacher, if it’s the fault of my son, I’ll apologize and compensate. But the key point here is, what was the cause of this incident? I trust that my son is not such a vile child that he would mistreat his classmates without reason."

Young Master Yan was not lenient towards his son, but he would not rush to judgment and wrongly accuse his son based on hearsay.

"Mr. Yan...."

Perhaps the teacher felt that Young Master Yan was being unreasonable in insisting on his stance and attempted to persuade him,

"Alright, let’s watch the surveillance footage together and see who is right and who is wrong."

Young Master Yan also wanted to know what could have driven his son to such extremes.

He remembered that when his son had just returned to the Yan family, he had played quite a few pranks on him due to his hatred. But those were harmless little pranks with no intent to actually harm.

Dumping a bowl of food on someone’s face was no longer a prank, strictly speaking.

The teacher, Ms. Hua, a middle-aged woman, had initially thought that this matter could be resolved once parents of both parties were involved. However, if she were to report this to the principal or the administrative office, she was sure she was going to take the blame as well.

Didn’t each child attending this school come from a wealthy family? She couldn’t afford to offend any of them.

When Yan Xu was placed in her class by the principal, she was hesitant due to his very young age. Was it really alright?

As expected, it had only been a few days since school started and he had already caused her a huge problem. It was really an headache!

"Mr. Yan, isn’t it apparent?" The teacher did not want to check the surveillance footage because it required the principal’s approval!

Young Master Yan didn’t bother to reason with her any further and directly dialed the principal’s number.

In any case, if there was evidence that proved his son was at fault, apart from having his son apologize to his classmate, he would not hesitate to punish him. However, it would be a different story if the fault didn’t lie with his son.

"Principal Li! Yes, it’s me! There has been a small dispute between my son and his classmate...Yes, I want to see the surveillance footage. Let the responsible person bear the consequences!"

As the teacher was struggling, unable to step down, voices of a man and a woman were heard from outside the corridor along with a faint crying sound.

"I’m telling you, we absolutely cannot let this go. Who does that boy think he is, to dare to dump a bowl of food onto our baby’s head? Does he not want to live anymore?"

The woman’s sharp voice was clear to Young Master Yan. Turning around, he looked at his son.

The little boy, however, remained calm as ever, not betraying the slightest hint of fear.

Young Master Yan was pretty sure that the other party was at fault in this incident, otherwise, why would his son be so firm in his belief?

He must have heard his conversation with the principal, knowing about the surveillance videos that could prove his innocence.

"Don’t worry, daddy is here!" Young Master Yan patted his son’s head again, got up, and turned his gaze towards the couple who’d just walked in.

"Yan... Young Master Yan?"

The man’s color drained from his face, he stuttered as he spoke.

The woman beside him glanced at her own husband then at Young Master Yan. Under her breath, she tugged at the man’s arm, "Who is he?"

Before the man or Ms. Hua could speak, Young Master Yan introduced himself coolly, "I am Yan Xu’s father!"

Previously, he didn’t mind throwing his weight around, but now, he didn’t want his son to see him as an overly arrogant and domineering man.

He hoped, in his son’s eyes, he could barely pass off as being a gentle father.

The woman appeared stunned momentarily. Then, her eyes flickered between Young Master Yan and the boy sitting on the sofa. Her expression slightly changed, after a pause, she lowered her head to look at her son who was still whimpering.

"He is Yan Xu?"

While Young Master Yan was observing the boy, the woman finally realized who he was and turned to look at the man beside her "He...he is Young Master Yan?"
