Vivian didn’t know whether she should have counted herself fortunate or unlucky, but it mattered little for in the end, her provoking antics rewarded her with what she initially craved so much.
Her mind was too blank on the high to even begin to think straight, her eyes rolling back from ecstasy. Ronan’s hips seemed to work relentlessly, giving one powerful thrust after the other and Vivian could feel the small bulge at the base of his member, which she had come to learn that morning was his knot.
Some reckless part of her wanted to feel it again.
And as far as Vivian was knowledgeable, an Alpha’s knot only flared when their arousal state was beyond the bounds of reasoning.
Could she push Ronan to such limits if she tried hard enough?
Ronan, on the contrary, resorted to being a mindless beast. Even his vision lost much of its clarity since his body was instinctively dedicated to marking and engraving himself into his omega mate.
With each passing second, Vivian’s scent and faint pheromones seemed to warp his mind more strongly and his eyes flashed with a dark amber, disconnecting his consciousness from a shared control with his inner beast.
The Lycan within him demanded control.
The beast wanted to be with Vivian alone.
Ronan’s subconsciousness faded into the background of his mind and his Lycan half took the lead.
Vivian recognised the change when Ronan’s thrusts became faster and more hurried. Her eyes widened from the sudden increase in pace and she found herself gazing directly into the Lycan Alpha’s eyes.
"It is you." Vivian smiled lazily, pleased as always to see the Lycan whenever he appeared to take control.
"It’s me, little wolf," the Lycan said, grinning wolfishly as he wrapped one arm around her waist, pulling her body flush against him as he caged her between the door and himself. "I couldn’t surpass such an opportunity to have a taste of you now, could I?"
Vivian welcomed it.
Her eyes fluttered closed, arms around his neck as their lips connected. The Lycan was much more rough with his kisses, nipping at her bottom lip to elicit a gasp and make her part her lips before his tongue dived inside to explore the sweetness.
Vivian moaned into the kiss, barely managing to keep up with his lips.
The Lycan Alpha wasn’t just kissing her.
He was practically eating her.
And when he allowed their contact to break to come up for air, Vivian’s head rolled back, baring her throat and neck to him. The Lycan Alpha gripped her hips on both sides and began moving her up and down on his length instead of thrusting upwards and the difference in movement made Vivian claw deeply into his back.
It made all the difference in the heated sensations she was feeling since now it felt as if the Lycan Alpha was determined to mould her to accommodate him completely.
The icy night air made Vivian’s skin pebble along with the sweet shivers that graced her body with each wave of pleasure.
"You owe me a name, little wolf," the Lycan grumbled in her ear hoarsely, his movements becoming more erratic. He couldn’t quite describe the feeling of Vivian’s warm wetness coating his length and the way her inner walls squeezed around him, beckoning him deeper than before. "I’ve waited long enough. You will give me one. Now."
It wasn’t a request.
It was a command.
Sure enough, she had promised to name him, but she didn’t quite think of anything suitable.
How was she supposed to think of one on the spot?
How could anyone think coherently in this situation?
"I...can’t..." Vivian panted heavily, her eyes glazing over. "I can’t think...right now." Her breathy pants were followed by a delectable whimper and she buried her face against his shoulder, drawing much closer to her release.
It was a slow buildup, and judging by the Lycan’s machine-like thrusts, it was a sign that he was a far cry from his own release.
"I want my name, little wolf," the Lycan demanded more insistently this time, slowing down his thrusts and stilling completely. The absence of his movements reminded Vivian of the torturous edging Ronan teased her with earlier and she wasn’t quite certain she could endure it for the fifth time.
"Please..." Vivian pleaded, greedily trying to grind her hips down on the Lycan’s length to seek out her lost pleasure, but the beast wasn’t so generous enough that he would allow her free reign to do so. Thus, he gripped her hips tighter to prevent her from moving.
Vivian could feel his shaft pulsing inside her; she could feel the bulbous tip grazing against that sweet spot inside that was left abandoned yet again.
Knowing the Lycan Alpha’s nature, Vivian knew he wouldn’t grant her what she wanted unless she had given him a name.
Truth be told, she’d been contemplating it at the back of her mind for all the days that passed, but she could never quite come up with something suitable.
The Lycan Alpha was much like a protector.
A beast with unbound loyalty.
And then Vivian remembered the tale of Lunaria’s Guardian and no matter which angle she glanced over the story, there was only one conclusion she could draw, even if the Lycan Alpha denied it.
He was undoubtedly the guardian that the Goddess Lunaria loved so much that it turned into something dark and twisted, such as obsession.
The way the Lycan Alpha conveyed the tale to her was as if it were his own life and as if he had spent every waking moment by the goddess Lunaria’s side.
He truly loved Lunaria with everything he had.
And part of Vivian wondered if he would ever love her with the same intensity and affection.
’Foolish thoughts,’ Vivian said to herself, brushing away the silly thought.
She knew what she wanted to name him now.
Vivian remembered the appearance of Lunaria’s guardian. His hair was as dark as the onyx night sky, with specks of light resembling a starry night sky, but in a dark and shadowy way.
Like the dark, unspoken part of heaven.
But more so than his hair, it was the beautiful blue shade of his eyes.
It was like cerulean blue mixed with shades of the sky.
A sky. But a more vibrant and beautiful one.
She wrapped her arms around the Lycan’s neck tighter, bringing her lips closer to his ear.
"Caelum," Vivia murmured and the Lycan’s eyes flew wide open, his eyes flashing an icy blue colour that had been lost for centuries and forgotten for an even longer time, but he quickly closed his eyes again to blink away the colour. "You are Caelum, the sky."
"Your Caelum," the Lycan growled in response, immediately resuming his thrusts.
He didn’t quite give Vivian the chance to readjust to his wild tempo, his teeth sinking into the swell of her breasts, gripping her hips with bruising force.
Vivian gasped involuntary, feeling herself drawn closer and closer to the edge.
Did he like the name?
Why didn’t he say anything else?
Her thoughts were once again scattered and overtaken by the mind-blowing pleasure the Lycan pumped into her.
And it wasn’t long before she could feel his shaft throbbing, his hip movements becoming more jerkier as he too found himself nearing the edge.
Caelum’s grants became more guttural and deep-sounding, his forehead damp with beads of sweat as he licked a long stripe up Vivian’s neck, one hand finding her throat in a possessive but not painful grip.
He claimed her lips again in a messy, languid kiss, tilting her head back while his free hand delved down between their bodies to abuse that sensitive bundle of nerves with the pad of his thumb.
Vivian lost all sense of reasoning when his thumb found her bundle of nerves, rapidly rubbing over it and sending jolts of electricity straight to her core and the rest of her body. Her core clamped down hard around him and Caelum grunted, feeling her entrance swallow his girth greedily.
"Do you want me inside or out, little wolf?" Caelum asked in between bated breaths, his chest heaving. He needed her permission because he could feel the little bulge at the base of his shaft, which was his dormant knot, aching and prepared to expand.
And Vivian could feel it all too well herself, immediately understanding his question.
"Inside, Cael," she whispered, her fingers digging hard into his shoulder blades. "I want to feel your knot again."
That was all the permission Caelum needed; however, he held back his release by a thread.
No man should come before his lady.
Ever.
His thumb circled Vivian’s bundle of nerves faster until she was screaming his name louder than she ever screamed Ronan’s.
Now that brought an arrogant smirk to Caelum’s lips.
The fact that his name rolled out so easily in a shuddering cry just as Vivian found her release, her core gushing out all around him. Her eyes widened, nails engraving themselves into his skin and legs tightening around his waist.
"Good girl," Caelum praised, followed by one final thrust that made him spill his seed inside without restraint, his knot flaring wide to stretch her walls and connect them together once more.
