Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox -
Chapter 469 – Storing Everything and Everyone
The duo arrived in what appeared to be an empty room.
"So..." Aiko looked around, but the only thing she could see was an empty pedestal.
"It's there." The Demonic Saintess nudged Aiko towards the pedestal and snapped her fingers.
The illusion melted, revealing what appeared to be a large, cracked hollow glass ball.
"You need to refine that in private, somewhere there is nobody around." The Demonic Saintess pursed her lips. This was the Relic she was talking about.
[Fire-Fox Glass Vessel]
[Rarity: Relic]
[Owner: -]
Aiko blinked her eyes, but there was no description.
She was curious about that thing, so she just stored it into her Tails.
The Demonic Saintess shook her head. No matter how many times she saw Aiko store things, it still made her speechless.
"Now we can return, unless you want to show me more?" Aiko narrowed her eyes.
"Can we store Storage Rings inside your tails?" The Demonic Saintess narrowed her eyes.
"I have never tried, but my team was able to get inside as long as it was 'attached' to their bodies." Aiko shrugged her shoulders.
"Good, that will speed things up." The Demonic Saintess nodded happily. She wished to give Aiko more Treasures, but there was a pressing matter about the desperate invasion of the Human race.
All their cities and wealth were robbed, so this was their last-ditch effort to deal damage to the Tribes.
Most Tribes had already withdrawn from this location; only the Demonic Foxes were left.
"We will reward you later properly." The Demonic Saintess pursed her lips.
"It's fine, that can wait. We should hurry." Moon Aiko smiled gently.
"Thank you." The demonic Saintess smiled back.
...
They arrived at the main hall. It was not big enough to store all the Demonic Foxes, but they already stood in one organised line, waiting for the Demonic Saintess.
"We will be leaving this place if you have any toys, Treasures, or anything you want to take with you. This is the last time you will be able to go and retrieve it." The Demonic Saintess commanded, but nobody moved.
They already stored everything that they could, and the rest was rigged to blow up once the Human Cultivators arrived.
"Good! Now, in line, we will hide and serve our new Master!" The Demonic Saintess proclaimed, and the Demonic Foxes giggled.
Not only would they be able to get outside, but they also had a gorgeous Fox leading them.
Everyone believed that they had a chance with Aiko, but that was not the only reason why they followed her.
Her strange energy, topped with her chaotic personality, created beautiful stories and events that they could happily record and share with others.
Their entertainment and 'greed' were fulfilled, so they were more than happy following Aiko outside this place.
There was also the matter about the Demonic Foxes outside of this place and their Demonic Saintess.
Especially Yu, who was helpful to everyone, even if she was much, much younger than all of them.
She was able to capture the Demonic Saintess's heart and not betray it due to greed, so the Demonic Foxes from the Sacred Realm held them in high regard.
Moreover, those Twins were incredibly cute, and their stories made many Foxes happy, so there was a need to meet them again and share their stories.
The Demonic Foxes from the Sacred Realm obediently walked into Aiko's Tails, where they were transported inside.
The feeling of weightlessness overtook them, but they quickly calmed down when they saw the Demonic Foxes from the Mortal Realm play around.
Especially Feifei, who was the shiest, happily played inside, which calmed down the Demonic Foxes.
The silence was overbearing, but the more Foxes walked into her Tails, the more lively it became.
That silence was slowly drowned with cheers, toys, food, and singing.
They played instruments while eating and celebrating, escaping the Sacred Realm.
Aiko was able to easily store all the Demonic Foxes.
This truly made the Demonic Saintess speechless.
All of the Demonic Foxes knew that there might be a situation where some might have to be left behind, so they lined up in a way that the last ones would sacrifice themselves for others.
Yet Aiko shattered those expectations, storing everyone in without any issues.
"Any last words?" Aiko teased the Demonic Saintess.
"You should work on your [Moonless Mist Shroud]." The Demonic Saintess was in a happy mood, so she completely ignored Aiko's teasing and gently patted her.
"We have stored food for decades, so don't worry about us. We have our own stories to share with each other, and you should not feel burdened by us." The Demonic Saintess bowed gently, startling Aiko.
"You don't have to do that!" Aiko felt weird receiving such a graceful bow from someone so much more beautiful and stronger.
"It's fine. You are now our Saintess, so we will treat you as such." The former Demonic Saintess smiled.
"Not a chance!" Aiko yelped at her. "There is no way you will dump all your responsibilities on me!"
"Tsk." The Demonic Saintess clicked her tongue.
"You-!" Aiko angrily shoved the Demonic Saintess into her Tails.
"Tsk." Aiko clicked her tongue as she brushed her hands. "I can't believe I was almost duped." But she was not really angry. A good relationship was important.
Then, Lady Liu suddenly appeared. "The Demonic Saintess forgot to tell you that there is a Chameleon Tribe in the next room; you can decide if you want to take them with you."
"She shouldn't have teased me then!" Aiko pouted.
"Yes, yes." Lady Liu caressed her head. "You can decide if you want to take them. Nobody is against it, and the only one with a strange relationship is the leader of the Chameleon Tribe and the Demonic Saintess."
"What's up with them?" Aiko raised her eyebrow.
"It seems like the leader wanted to court the Demonic Saintess, but was always rejected." Lady Liu giggled.
Aiko nodded her head. "Fine, I will have a look." She didn't believe that they were bad for the time being.
...
Arriving in the next room. There were only about 50 Chameleon Tribe members.
Aiko looked over at them, and they looked at her.
'They mostly look human. There are scales here and there and a few other things, but that is fine.' Aiko suddenly noticed something darting towards her.
"You-! Where have you been!" Aiko immediately pinched and stretched that little Spider rascal.
"You know how dangerous it's outside?!" Aiko wrestled the small Spider as the Chameleon Tribe watched over them.
They had deep respect for the Spider, since it was thanks to it that they were able to rescue their fellow brethren.
They didn't expect at all that the Demonic Courier would be the owner of such a magnificent being.
"We greet the Demonic Ruler." The Chameleon Tribe bowed and cupped their fist.
They were on edge at first, since there was a possibility they would not be liked, but that quickly changed when they saw their relationship.
As long as they showed proper respect, there should be no issue in joining her incredible ranks!
"Yes, yes. I heard that the leader had some issue with the Demonic Saintess?" Aiko narrowed her eyes as they kept wrestling on the ground.
Unfortunately, thanks to the small body, the Spider was victorious by tying up Aiko.
All of the Chameleon-kin looked in a certain direction.
It was the same person who first approached the Demonic Saintess and secured such good cooperation.
He coughed awkwardly. "Y-yes?" He didn't wish for his Tribe to suffer thanks to him.
"What's the issue?" Aiko tilted her head as she ripped the bondage apart.
"Well... I fell in love and didn't wish to stop my pursuit, but I can assure you that I keep a respectful distance and never bother her for too long!" That leader bowed, trying to appeal to her.
"That's fine then." Aiko didn't mind if they mingled with each other. "But the moment this causes an issue, you are either let go or your Soul will roll around." She narrowed her eyes.
"Do you mean head?" The leader tried to correct Aiko, but he only got glares back. "I understand." He immediately caved in.
"Alright, let's transport you." Aiko brushed her hands as she kept shoving the Chameleon-kin into her Tails.
They were confused at first, but they didn't question it. This might've been a ritual that would allow them to leave this place.
But those that touched those tails vanished, never returning...
A small fear gripped their hearts, but it could no longer be stopped.
-----
"You are here." The Demonic Saintess frowned.
The Chameleon Tribe didn't look well, as the state of weightlessness made them nauseous.
"Don't even think about vomiting in here or you will slurp it right back up!" The Demonic Saintess threatened them, and they could only cover their mouths.
"Anyway. I know this place is strange, but try to tell stories or anything to keep the silence away." The Demonic Saintess said lightly, but she understood that this place was beyond her comprehension.
The strange darkness that surrounded them and never went away, even when they used light techniques.
The strange state of weightlessness that never allowed you to know the right direction.
The food that never spoiled inside this place allowed them to stay here for as long as Aiko wished.
This place was truly abnormal, and the Demonic Saintess understood it was not a common place.
Death might approach them if they don't behave well.
"This is..." He narrowed his eyes as he floated next to the Demonic Saintess and his crush.
"Maddening. I know." The Demonic Saintess rolled her eyes.
"Fortunately, we have many stories, so we can last for a few years." The leader of the Chameleon Tribe smiled.
"What happened to your chief?" The Demonic Saintess narrowed her eyes.
"Died in this war. There was a sudden ambush, thanks to their 'Saintess'." He clicked his tongue.
"When will you all reveal your true forms?" The Demonic Saintess narrowed her eyes. They were using a similar technique that she used, but it was more fundamental to their race.
"Once we make it out of the Sacred Realm. We are still inside, and there is a possibility that we won't make it out." He narrowed his eyes.
"Very well, but you better uphold that promise!" The Demonic Saintess glared at him as food floated in front of her.
"We will spend a long time here, so try to be nice." Yu smiled, but still narrowed her eyes. "Of course, he should definitely fulfil his words."
"I will." He rolled his eyes as he floated around...
