Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox
Chapter 459 – The Possessed Blood Fox and Demonic Foxes – Part 2

The Blood Fox waved her hand and put them to sleep.

'Not bad, but it won't last long. The Heaven's Chosen has a way to catch up to you, especially if he chases you to include you into his 'group'.' The annoying voice clicked his tongue.

'Doesn't matter, I don't need that much time.' The Blood Fox immediately dashed inside and formed several pseudo-cores to use for her abilities.

'What-?!' The voice was shocked. 'How is that even fair?! It took me 100 years to create it!' He was greatly upset that his technique was so easily stolen.

'It's very easy. I don't get why you would struggle.' The Blood Fox mercilessly roasted him as she kept making pseudo-cores.

'But your quality is shit, heh.' The voice laughed happily.

'If they stay, Heaven's Chosen will be able to find me easier.' The Blood Fox rolled her eyes at this stupid bastard.

'...' The voice was quiet since he realised that she was right.

'Fuck!' He cursed loudly as he lost yet another round against the Blood Fox. 'How is it possible that you are handling this whole thing so easily?!' He couldn't believe his eyes.

Even if it was her first time creating the pseudo-cores, it would not necessarily mean they would be combat-ready.

The pseudo-cores would collapse if you wrapped more blood around it than it could handle.

Yet the Blood Fox was managing it so well that he was questioning his whole life!

'Why does this look so easy!?' He roared angrily inside her mind, but the Blood Fox just shrugged.

'This is nothing compared to what my Mistress could do.' The Blood Fox snorted unhappily.

Her pseudo-cores were far from perfect. They could handle most of the blood she used, but once she used the higher-quality blood that she stored inside her body, the pseudo-core would crumble, mixing with it.

This would cause a severe drop in quality, almost making the high-quality blood unusable.

The Blood Fox had to be careful with killing these stone golems.

She needed to use as little of her blood as possible to save for later.

She didn't believe that the voice could fight without blood, so she had to maintain a generous amount inside her body for him, just in case he took over her body sooner.

'To the left is the main chamber. You are going the wrong way.' The voice was more and more annoyed. 'Fuck! I can't believe how hard it is to possess you!' He cursed loudly since he was denied access to her body once again.

'Servant this, servant that, but what is your goal?' The Blood Fox rolled her eyes.

'That's obvious. To overthrow our rulers that abandoned us!' The voice yelled loudly.

The Blood Fox rolled her eyes. It was such a ridiculous reason, but instead of themselves doing it, they would possess others so that they wouldn't be implicated.

'Such a shallow reason.' The Blood Fox clicked her tongue as she arrived at the main chamber.

As it was with the hallways before. It was simply designed, with not much decoration, but everything was very spacious. Not just to make the golems move smoother but also to demonstrate their grandiose Inscriptions.

The Blood Fox couldn't read those Inscriptions, but she did record everything on the Jade Slip for Aiko. The more gifts she brought back, the better.

The main chamber was pretty much empty, outside the fact that on the roof of this place was a huge Floating Stone.

Well, it was huge for the Blood Fox since she never saw one, but it had a modest size and would definitely be useful.

The Blood Fox jumped up to collect it before looking for a way to escape this place.

'I'm not sure why you were able to earn our Inheritance...' The voice was speechless. He didn't expect that this Fox would be so good at stealing things.

'You can take it back for all I care, but you won't do that. Your whole race is based on cowardice, and it shows.' The Blood Fox ridiculed him.

'You-!' The voice was enraged, but he indeed had no intention of taking the Inheritance back. It would be a great loss on his part if he did.

It's rare that someone had such a good harmony with the Demonic Bloodline.

The Blood Fox glanced around as she made her way outside.

She could hear an angry roar from within, but she didn't care what that Dragoness would do.

Nobody saw her enter this place, and nobody would see her exit. Nobody would be able to pin it on her, and she could safely give it to Aiko!

-----

The Demonic Saintess glanced at the Table Map. It was almost filled up with all the cities that they would be able to affect.

There were some issues along the way, but those were solved by robbing their hidden Treasures.

This way, they were able to replenish lost Treasures and then gain some.

"Team 8 reporting."

The Communication Stone gently vibrated.

"Team 8?" The Demonic Saintess smiled slightly.

"We were able to escort Aiko and destabilise the nearby city. We won't be joining the side team as Aiko is taking her time, and we will be moving to another city."

The leader of the group reported. They were following Aiko's side team along the way to prevent anything unexpected from happening.

They were able to intercept a few Humans with gleeful smiles, but nothing else out of the ordinary happened.

"The next city is harder than the previous one. You can take the loot from the current city and replenish your Treasures." The Demonic Saintess slowly nodded her head. Without this Table Map, they would lose many Foxes, but since none of them skipped their training, everything was going smoothly.

Well mostly. There were fewer Treasures than she expected, but that was fine. Their own consumption of Treasures was lower than what they gained, and as long as they destroyed enough cities, the Humans would have a harder time getting on their feet.

"Understood. We ask for guidance."

The leader was quite happy since they didn't use all that many Treasures, but getting more of them was always welcome.

"I will do that immediately..." The Demonic Saintess smiled mischievously.

...

"There were 79 cities. Out of those, we couldn't raid 9 of them as they were inside a huge Array. So far, we have destroyed 32 cities or rather disabled their Arrays and looted them." The Demonic Saintess went through the reports.

"Only two cities were able to spot our Foxes, and the other cities raised their defences. The Crab Beasts already destroyed 20 out of the 32 cities without the Array." The Demonic Saintess chuckled. "They must be mightily pissed. Their Princess was the one that was done in by the Humans, but that's a good thing for us."

Other Beasts were hesitating about razing those cities, but now there are reports that other Beasts become more daring.

"Team 3 reporting."

"What's wrong?" The Demonic Saintess didn't think that Team 3 should report just yet. They were quite far from the city, and there was nothing around.

"The Chameleon Beasts are requesting an audience."

The team leader reported, which surprised the Demonic Saintess.

"Why would Chameleons want to seek me?" The Demonic Saintess tilted her head.

Unless the Chameleons were willingly found, there would be no way that anyone would be able to locate them. The current situation was a prime example.

Even the Table Map was unable to see Chameleons on the map until they revealed themselves.

"They were plotting to raid the main cities through political marriage." The team leader kept reporting. "But once we have hit the 20th city, they felt suspicious about our means and would like to cooperate with us."

"You can guide representatives without weapons and only one communication tool." The Demonic Saintess narrowed her eyes.

"He already surrendered his weapons and only has a Communication Talisman." The leader felt slightly speechless at how impeccable the Chameleon-kin was.

The Demonic Saintess was likewise slightly flabbergasted. "Did they plan this and break the rule?"

"They say that they didn't keep an eye on us but believed that you wouldn't change over the years." The leader reported but felt really amused about this whole situation.

"Fine, just guide him here. I believe I know who he is..." The Demonic Saintess groaned unhappily.

It would be that girl who always boasted about the beauty of her husband.

Yes, not about his handsomeness, but beauty. He was quite the feminine guy, which the Demonic Saintess didn't like all that much.

"Team 8 reporting."

"Yes..." The Demonic Saintess already felt a headache about the upcoming discussions.

"Aiko left the place with a Flower Demon."

The leader reported slowly so as to not anger their Saintess.

"Which one?" The Demonic Saintess narrowed her eyes.

"The notorious one..."

The leader reported slowly. The Demonic Saintess was already upset enough, but yet another troublemaker was coming back.

"What is her agenda?" The Demonic Saintess snorted disdainfully.

"She is clinging to Aiko but is also overly obedient..."

The leader didn't know what to think about much about why and how, so their whole team reported their observations.

"Seriously... next time you will tell me that the Flower Demon is subservient to Aiko..." The Demonic Saintess was amused but didn't believe it would get to that point.

"About that..."

The team leader reported with some difficulty.

The Demonic Saintess would need a lot of ice and massages because of how much shock she suffered...
