Draven was correct in identifying me as a vampire like him. It became clear that he was my vampire mate, and I was relieved to know that rejecting him would eliminate that aspect of me. However, my struggle lay in rejecting my wolf, which was a painful decision.

Despite my Lycan nature, I had a strong bond with my wolf. I had always believed I was just a she-wolf and longed to embrace that part of myself like other she-wolves.

But I finally discovered my true nature at an unexpected moment, and the fact that I was also a Lycan seemed like a positive aspect. However, werewolves were known to be more dominant, unified, and advanced compared to other creatures, except for humans.

I had heard that the human world was more advanced, and we had to conceal our true identities to avoid detection. This was why we often sought refuge in the woods, where we could freely shift.

I knew I would miss my super speed and, just as much, I missed my mother. With the threat of death no longer looming over me, I could focus on finding her after dealing with Kari for her actions against me but Zeke?

If I am a vampire, then he must be one too, which would explain his rapid growth. Vampire hybrids often experience accelerated growth, but this fact is not widely known because their development typically halts around the age of seven, at which point they can appear as tall and mature as a teenager.

In Zeke’s case, given the speed at which he was growing, he may stop growing before reaching the age of seven. However, I am concerned about how to manage his vampire instincts.

It was peculiar how I could sleep despite my worries, only to wake up and find the person I was searching for right in front of me.

As I was about to move, I noticed that Alpha Zach was carrying me gently in his arms. I informed him, "I can walk." He meekly set me down, and I approached Kari, who appeared shocked. My only disappointment was that she still had both of her eyes intact.

I wondered which healer had managed to restore what I had destroyed. "You! You are banished. How dare you return here?" she exclaimed, but I responded by slapping her, provoking her anger.

"How dare you. Zach..." she began, but both Alpha Zach and Zion appeared beside me, with Zion still holding the sleeping Zeke.

"Kari, do you have something to tell me?" Alpha Zach asked. Kari rushed to his side, and for some strange reason, possessiveness bubbled inside me. I pushed her away from him, regretting it when Zach smirked.

It wasn’t like I was going to accept him as my mate, but with Kari, I just wanted to pay her back for all she did to me.

"You have no right to be close to him because technically, he is my mate."

Perhaps it was the sound of our voices, but a few tribe members began to gather around us as Gaius stepped out of the pack house with a pup in his arms who looked like Reid.

"Alpha, you’re back."

"Zach, we have a son and we’re mates. How could you bring her back?" She was almost in tears, holding a bottle similar to the one she gave me during the banquet.

"Are we really mates? I was looking for a red-haired girl, and you fooled me," Alpha Zach replied, pain evident in his voice but Kari appeared broken.

"Zach, this witch has you under a spell. We both felt the connection, and that night was magical. Look at our pup from that night," she pointed at the sleeping newborn in Beta Gaius’s arms. He smiled and handed the pup to her before walking over to me.

"Thank you for coming, Anna. I hope you are ready."

"Why do you call her Anna?" Alpha Zach asked. Beta Gaius was confused but explained, "Zach, she’s Annabelle."

"Belle," Zach mused as Gaius asked him, "Have you remembered her?"

"Not everything, but I need to see what you have for me." I was disinterested in whatever that meant, but Gaius’s attention was focused on me.

"Is that your pup? Why is he so old?" Gaius asked, and something flickered in Kari’s eyes.

"That should tell you that the pup isn’t his. Who knows how many men the bitch has slept with?"

"Don’t speak about my mother in that manner, you uncouth woman. Dad, why is she here?" Zeke woke up and questioned. Zion glanced at Kari and gestured to Zach before heading into the packhouse.

"Don’t worry, Zeke, you Dad will handle everything. Gaius, come to me for an explanation, unless you prefer to stay there," he reassured. Gaius grinned.

"If there’s an explanation, it can wait. This seems rather intriguing."

"Where is Reid?" Zach inquired. Gaius appeared puzzled, and a tear rolled down Kari’s cheek as she whispered, "Why isn’t it working?"

"Your spells?" Gaius asked sarcastically as he stood beside me. "Well, Anna is the antidote. Zach, the memories you lost are the ones affected by the spell. Everything you did while the spell was active has been erased by true love’s kiss."

What? Was the reason why he couldn’t remember all that he did to me? "I don’t love him," I stated. Zach looked hurt, but Gaius shrugged. "Who cares? Your feelings are valid, but Zach’s love for you is sufficient."

It’s amusing how Zion and Gaius assume that Zach and I will end up together simply because we have a pup together and are mates, but that is not my current concern. How did her eyes get repaired?" I asked, knowing it was impossible, but Kari smiled sarcastically and handed her pup over to a maid. "Take him inside and don’t wake him."

As soon as the maid took a step, Zach’s authoritative voice intervened. "Don’t even dare. Take the child to his father."

Kari froze momentarily. "Zach, what is wrong with you? We are mates, and that night, it was you and me..." she was saying when a slap sent her flying in the air. She landed harshly on the floor, tears welling in her eyes.
