Chapter 354 354: Something Changed?

Harlia gave Pablo a task he was most suitable for.

And somehow, no one opposed it.

Pablo turned his gaze at Fozier.

"Don't you want to kill Luther yourself, Marshal?"

"I do. But I would certainly not give him an easy death. So it's really best if you kill him."

Pablo sighed.

"Killing it is then."

He summoned Colt on his hand and jumped down from the stage.

He stood in front of Luther.

The second Marshal had his head down, not really bothered by Pablo standing in front of him.

'Let's get this over with.'

Pablo sat on one knee and grabbed Luther's hairs.

He then raised his head from the ground and now both men were face to face.

Pablo brought his face near Luther's ears and whispered :

"Rest in peace, Luther. Don't regret anything. I don't want you as a ghost."

Luther scoffed. "Heh. Afraid of ghosts?"

"No. It's just… it'll be a hassle to kill a ghost."

Luther laughed.

Luther had no tongue but Pablo could still understand what he was saying.

Seeing Luther's laugh, Pablo's lips curled up.

"You sure are cheerful for someone who is dying for doing nothing."

"You don't know how the world works, kid. You are too young to understand."

'You couldn't be more wrong.'

"Enlighten me then."

"One day," Luther shot his bloodied eyes at Pablo. "You will lose."

"And?"

"Someone will arrive to instill justice on you. You will pay for all your misdeeds. Someone will win against you one day. You will lose one day."

"Is that supposed to scare me?"

"Yes. Start the counting."

Pablo exhaled.

"Let me tell you something as well, Luther."

Pablo inched closer.

"One day, I will obviously lose. I am not a God. But I am surely superior to regular humans like you so even if one day I lost…"

Pablo paused and moved back from Luther.

"I will win the day after that."

Luther heard him and smiled.

"All your confid-"

"That's enough out of you. Die."

Pablo stood up from his knee and swung Colt.

THUD!

Luther's head fell off.

In just one cut, Pablo severed Luther's head.

The second Marshal died for the crimes that Pablo committed.

Pablo wiped Colt on his uniform and then raised it in the air.

The soldiers stared at him and Pablo decided to end it.

"Justice has been served!"

And the reaction of the soldiers…

"Yeahhh!"

"Let's go!"

"That's how you do it!"

The soldiers were ecstatic. Mostly because they got to see some beheading and that too of a Marshal.

They all cheered and clapped for Pablo and Pablo climbed back on the stage.

He stood beside Harlia and now he doesn't know what will happen.

The five rapists were dead, Luther was dead, no one suspected him, he had his soldiers' trust, he had an Elf with him, he had a loyal right hand man and most importantly, his body was finally becoming his own. No more flinching.

Anyway, now all the next steps lied to Harlia. Whatever she says will happen.

And she started it right away.

"Everyone.. since all you are here. I might as well announce what Ted wanted in his last breaths."

'Here it comes.'

Pablo showed no expressions and Harlia wasted no time.

"Pablo Castillo is the new Second Marshal of the Abyssal Butchers division."

…

Silence.

No one said anything for a few good seconds.

Pablo sighed.

He shifted his eyes to one soldier again and that was all he needed to do.

"Yeahh! He deserves it!" One soldier shouted.

And only one such push was needed.

"Yes!"

"He is the best!"

"Heck, make him the first Marshal!"

'That must be Flashy.'

The soldiers followed the lead of that first soldier and Pablo's name was chanted again.

Pablo gave a slight nod at Draxus and Draxus returned the nod as well.

After that, the Marshals standing beside Pablo showed some reaction as well.

"Ted's last wish should be fulfilled." Fozier said.

"Well, the Admiral said it. It's not like we could refuse her. Congratulations, Pablo. Oh. Sorry. Second Marshal. You are higher than us now."

Diablo said all that with a laugh and Pablo just nodded at all of them.

Harlia placed her hand on Pablo's shoulder.

"Your soldiers will remain the same. They will move up with you. And the soldiers under Luther, well, let's ask them directly."

Harlia turned her gaze at the soldiers standing below the stage.

"Luther's soldiers, raise your hands!"

"Here!"

Hundred hands were raised and all of the soldiers stepped forward.

Harlia's gaze went straight towards the soldier standing in the front.

"What will you all do now?" She asked.

The soldier straightened himself. "We will die in the upcoming war, Admiral."

"Great. Then till then, you all will train under me. Pack your stuff and move to my building. Go!"

"Yes!"

The soldiers saluted and all hundred of them turned around and left ground 0.

After that, Harlia again focused on Pablo.

"We will assign a new Tenth Marshal and find new soldiers for it. You will join as the Second Marshal from tomorrow. Is that alright?"

"As you say, Admiral."

"Alright then. Go back to your rooms, everyone. Fozier, deal with the dead bodies. I am going."

Harlia bent her knees and with no further orders, she took off in the sky.

Pablo and the other Marshals also got down from the stage and began leaving the ground.

Pablo joined his soldiers and with them, proceeded to leave the ground as well.

After a few minutes, the soldiers went to their rooms and Pablo went towards the rooms for the candidates.

He took a deep breath and knocked on the door of a room.

The door swung open and a pair of hands reached out to embrace him.

Only Sera could do that and surprisingly… She succeeded this time.

Pablo didn't dodge or duck, he let Sera embrace him.

Andrezj and Cupid saw the scene with wide eyes and even Sera was shocked.

"Is everything alright, dear?" Sera asked, her arms still around Pablo.

Pablo smiled.

Sera blinked.

She never saw such a smile on Pablo's face. That was a genuine smile.

She was out of words and she went nuts when Pablo spoke the next sentence.

"Thanks for your luck."
