Chapter 50: I’ll pass on before I’m 30

As Haeun reached to wrap his arms around Yeongsoo’s neck, his phone vibrated.

Yeongsoo glanced at his phone, the message from his assistant flashing on the screen. He sighed, considering the demands of work that awaited him. [Certain documents require your attention, boss. You’ll have to come to the hotel for at most half the day.]

He felt a familiar tension at the thought of having to leave Haeun, but he pushed it aside. It was just work stuff, after all. He didn’t want to ruin the morning’s warmth with worries about deadlines.

"Just some work stuff," Yeongsoo said casually, slipping his phone into his pocket. He leaned down and placed a soft kiss on Haeun’s forehead, eliciting a small gasp from him. "Will be alright if I step out for a bit?"

Haeun nodded, the kiss sending a delightful shiver down his spine. "I guess so but can’t I come along?..."

"Mhm, I don’t see why not...my office is big enough for you to roam around" Yeongsoo replied, straightening up with a bright smile. "But first, you need to get in the shower. I’ll start on breakfast while you freshen up."

Haeun hesitated, his cheeks still warm from the kiss. "You’re not going to join me?" he teased lightly, trying to ignore the fluttering in his stomach.

Yeongsoo chuckled, shaking his head. "As much as I’d love to, I don’t want to distract you. Besides, you need to take care of yourself. You’ve got our little one to think about now."

"Yeah, yeah," Haeun murmured, a grin creeping onto his face. "Fine, I’ll shower."

"Great! I’ll have breakfast ready by the time you’re done," Yeongsoo said, giving Haeun another quick kiss before nudging him toward the bathroom.

With a smile still lingering on his lips, Haeun made his way to the shower. The warm water cascaded over him, soothing his muscles and washing away the remnants of sleep. He couldn’t shake the feeling of excitement bubbling within him, especially with when he was going to head out with Yeongsoo.

Once he finished, Haeun dried off and got dressed in a shirt t-shirt paired with a grey short and button up shirt pair. Along with a no-show socks and a a pair of sneaker sneakers . He took a moment to gaze at himself in the mirror, feeling a mix of emotions—nervousness, happiness, and anticipation for the day ahead.

Stepping back into the kitchen, the rich aroma of cooking filled the air. Yeongsoo was busy at the stove, flipping pancakes and stirring something on the side.

"Smells amazing!" Haeun exclaimed, leaning against the doorframe.

Yeongsoo turned, a wide grin spreading across his face. "You’re just in time! I saved the pancakes for you to try. Can you help me with the fruit smoothies?"

"Sure! What do you need me to do?" Haeun asked, moving closer to the counter.

"Just chop up some fruits, and I’ll blend them. I want to make sure they’re fresh and delicious," Yeongsoo replied, he paused and turned to stare at Haeun’s outfit.

"You look cute, someone took one look at you they wouldn’t believe you’re a CEO..."

"..."

Haeun crossed his hands, giving Yeongsoo a hard stare "What are you implying?"

"That you’re too cute, your brother looks more like a CEO than you do.."

"..."

"You take that back right now! Why do I need to dress like a CEO when I’m not working, tsk tsk.."

Yeongsoo chuckled as he placed the food one after the other, at the middles of the counter.

"As long as you’re comfortable, though I haven’t seen President Yoon in a suit before?" Yeongsoo paused, he had...during their first meeting.

"I want to see you in it again.." Yeongsoo leaned forward as Haeun moved back, shoving the pancake inside Yeongsoo’s mouth.

"I won’t be wearing a suit unless there a board meeting and that wouldn’t be happening this month.."

Yeongsoo pouted as he munched on the pancake "But that doesn’t stop you from wearing a suit does it? You’re wearing it just for me..."

"...!"

Haeun hissed, he was just going to ignore Yeongsoo, he could feel his blood pressure rising.

"It won’t be bad if you wear something slutty as well.."

"Pfft.." Haeun spat out the smoothie as he stood up, pointing at Yeongsoo "You pervert, stop saying these vulgar things while I’m having breakfast!"

Yeongsoo burst out laughing at Haeun’s reaction, the teasing clearly hitting its mark. He wiped a bit of smoothie off his own cheek where it had splattered, still grinning.

"I can’t help it, darling. You look too cute when you get all flustered like that," he said, his voice light and playful.

Haeun rolled his eyes, cheeks still flushed from embarrassment, but there was a hint of a smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "You seriously need to behave. What if someone overheard you?"

"Well," Yeongsoo said, leaning closer with a sly grin, "Good thing it’s just the two of us, isn’t it?"

"..!!"

"See this, my blood pressure has risen because of you, if this continues I’ll pass on before I’m 30.."

Yeongsoo grinned as he wiped the table, tossed the stained wiped into the trash and washing his hands.

"Then we’ll just have to get married, so I can inherit your properties, don’t worry I’ll take good care of our baby.."

"..!!"

Haeun lips twitched as he shook his head, he chuckled and continued to eat "You’re very annoying, do you know that?"

"Enough to raise a blood pressure? Now I know.."

Yeongsoo stood up and placed his bowls inside the sink, he placed a cup of water next to Haeun and walked to the stairs.

"I’m done eating, you can continue with me I’m going to take a shower.."

Haeun nodded and focused on his food, such good food shouldn’t go to waste.

About 25 minutes, Haeun had just finished clearing up the sink. He turned to see Yeongsoo reappear, freshly dressed and looking strikingly sharp.

Yeongsoo was wearing a wine-red short-sleeve button-up shirt, perfectly tailored to his athletic frame, paired with sleek black slacks and polished Oxford shoes. On his right wrist, a silver Rolex glinting under the soft light, matching the simple silver chain he wore around his neck.

Haeun couldn’t help but stare for a moment, taken aback by how effortlessly handsome and put-together Yeongsoo looked. "Wow... you clean up nicely," Haeun said, trying to sound casual but failing to hide the admiration in his voice.

Yeongsoo smirked as he walked closer, stopping in front of Haeun and tilting his head slightly. "You think so?"

"Yeah," Haeun replied, his eyes trailing down to the silver chain before flicking back up to meet Yeongsoo’s gaze. "I didn’t know we were dressing up like this. Should I go change?"

"No," Yeongsoo said with a small smile, his eyes softening as he took in Haeun’s casual but stylish look. "You look perfect this way."

Haeun felt his cheeks flush slightly at the compliment, trying to wave it off. "Still, but you look like you’re heading to a photoshoot or something."

"Just trying to keep up with you," Yeongsoo teased, leaning down to press a soft kiss on Haeun’s forehead, the warmth of his lips lingering for a moment longer than usual. "But I’m glad you like it."

As he straightened up, he glanced at his watch. "We should get going soon if we want to make it to the hotel on time. But there’s no rush."

Haeun nodded, still slightly flustered by the kiss and the sight of Yeongsoo in that shirt. "Yeah, let’s head out," he said, grabbing his phone and keys, but not before stealing one last glance at him.

Yeongsoo noticed and chuckled softly. "What? Can’t get enough of me?"
