Chapter 247: Volume 4, Chapter 29, Betrayal (9)_2

His swollen face had deformed his nose, and after the numbness wore off, his face felt like it was burning. Even the slightest touch or breeze felt like a knife cutting. Fatty’s slap was truly vicious. The tattooed man panted, his eyes roaming over Fatty. He glanced to one side of the fighting arena where his coach stood, who was also his boss and his best friend.

"Just one more try, if it doesn’t work, surrender immediately. This Fatty is strange!" The tattooed man thought to himself, his eyes fixed on Fatty’s throat and groin. In Special Forces’ hand-to-hand combat, there were no fancy tricks; it was all about neutralizing the enemy with one move. The tattooed man licked his dry lips; these techniques he practiced every day, never letting them go to waste over the year he had been imprisoned.

To immediately give up in front of an opponent he had just easily defeated was truly hard for the tattooed man to accept! So, he pounced like lightning, his hands like steel pincers, aiming straight for Fatty’s throat. As long as he grasped this vital spot, even the most formidable enemy could only widen their eyes, clutch their throat, hiss, and then fall helplessly!

This scene was all too familiar to the tattooed man; he had created the exact same picture countless times on the battlefield!

Closer, his hand was just a few centimeters away from Fatty’s throat, and a vicious smile crept onto his face! In the blink of an eye, this Fatty would fall before him!

The blink of an eye he never got because, for the tattooed man, he would never have another chance to blink. Just as his fingertips almost felt Fatty’s body heat and touched his skin, Fatty shifted slightly, and a lightning-fast straight punch shattered the tattooed man’s Adam’s apple with the protruded second knuckle of his middle finger.

For the Fatty who had been lying on the ground, the tattooed man’s movements and reactions were already too slow! His exhaustion sealed his fate.

Watching the once mighty tattooed prisoner fall, eyes wide open, into the flying dust, the nobles were stunned. This unexpected turn of events in the bloody duel left them speechless. No one expected that in this bloody fight, the prey would turn into the most vicious predator with a lightning-fast, deadly strike. Fatty’s skills now were completely different from before.

"Fatty, I know this Fatty!" A short Gazalin noble suddenly shouted, jumping and gesticulating excitedly like a juggling monkey, his face red with excitement. "I saw him at Prince Stephen’s celebration ball! He even played a mobile phone recording, saying that Carey and Martin..."

Just as he was saying this, the short noble suddenly remembered something, closed his mouth tightly, and glanced to the side, where Carey’s son from the Ministry of Information stood not far away in the stands, glaring at him.

Hearing the short noble, several other nobles who had attended the ball also remembered this Fatty. Instantly, discussions broke out.

"Hey, that really is the Fatty."

"I heard this guy got involved with Susan’s dance teacher and was sent in by Prince Bruce."

"Yeah, they got involved at that ball. He was dancing with Ann Lei and made quite an impression. He may be fat, but he can dance!"

"Really? Ann Lei is Bruce’s favorite, and this Fatty dared to make a move on her?"

"Hey, Fatty is from the Mythical Army, just like those arrogant guys, what wouldn’t they dare to do?"

"Shh, keep your voice down!"

"What are you afraid of? Look, he’s in jail now, and I haven’t seen the Mythical Army do anything, humph, they bully the weak and fear the strong!"

"Damn it, I’m afraid they might bully us weaklings, idiot!"

"You have to admit, though, the Mythical Army guys are no joke. Did you see Fatty’s move just now? Absolutely deadly!"

"Hey, hey, stop arguing, look over there in the control room, is that Bonnie?"

"Let me see, yes, it’s her."

"What is she planning?"

Bonnie stood in the control room, looking at the scene in the fighting arena with mixed emotions. She couldn’t understand how this mechanic Zhang Yuan could stand up again and become so formidable! His display of skill was terrifying! When it came to hand-to-hand combat, not even Reinhardt could match this Fatty!

"He’s dreamwalking, Fatty is dreamwalking!"

"Heh heh, see, I knew betting on this guy was the right choice!"

Bonnie vaguely overheard the guards beside her whispering. She turned and asked, "What’s going on? What are you saying about dreamwalking?"

A guard replied with a smile, "Colonel, don’t underestimate this Fatty, he has a sleepwalking issue. Whenever he’s stimulated, he becomes incredibly strong. Last time there was a fight among prisoners, he single-handedly took down a dozen men!"

"Oh?" Bonnie nodded thoughtfully and asked, "So you all placed some bets on him, huh?"

Looking at each other, the guard and his companions smiled awkwardly, "His odds were two hundred to one. We all placed a little bet. Heh heh."

Bonnie smiled faintly, "Then don’t let him wake up, continue the match!"

The guards were overjoyed. With help from the Mythical Army, they wouldn’t object to making money. As the controls were operated, all the partitions in the fighting arena were retracted into the surrounding walls.

The short prisoner finally saw his opponent, a dazed Fatty standing stupidly in place!

Before this, no one knew whom their final opponent would be. Only when the sixteen walked out of the lounge did they glance at each other in the corridor. Quickly noticing Fatty, who seemed both silly and pale, the short prisoner had thought Fatty would be the first to be eliminated! Especially when seeing Fatty and the tattooed man in the same passage, he felt sorry for Fatty.

To the short prisoner, the tattooed man was too familiar! Both were officers in the Gazalin Grizzly Bear Special Forces! Before imprisonment, the tattooed man was a Captain, the short prisoner was also a Captain. Each led an enhanced platoon and were mortal enemies! Later, due to leading their soldiers into a conflict that resulted in 123 civilian and 16 soldier deaths and hundreds of injuries, both were imprisoned!

In prison, their struggle never ceased. Each joined a faction and, using their training, quickly became key players!

This time, the short prisoner originally thought he would face his nemesis in the final showdown! Unexpectedly, when the partitions were retracted by mechanical operation, there before him stood the seemingly easy-to-bully Fatty, looking like a block of tofu!

Feeling a sudden tightness in his chest, the short prisoner instantly adjusted his mindset. He knew that anyone who could defeat a formidable enemy equal to himself was not as easily bullied as they appeared!

While the short prisoner was still lost in thought, Fatty moved.

The nobles held their breath, the entire arena pin-drop silent. Everyone watched Fatty stride boldly towards his opponent without any probing, any defense, ignoring the short prisoner’s rapidly adjusted stance completely.

Then, a resounding slap!

So fast, the short prisoner had no time to dodge.

Immediately followed by another slap!

And then a series of over a dozen resounding slaps.

The whole place fell completely silent.
