The young woman watched as Briar and Kelly left with a sour expression on her face, thinking about how crazy the other party was acting.

Seeing the people gone, she took out her earbuds and connected them to the phone before coldly saying, "Ms. Like you have heard, your target will be there tomorrow. I have done my job. So don’t forget to send me money lest you want to face problems!"

[Tche ..... don’t worry. Your money will be sent. Thank you for the good job. No need to follow her anymore.]

The other party responded, her tone sounding sarcastic, before hanging up. The young woman clicked her tongue with an indescribable glint flashing in her eyes, thinking to herself how crazier the clients she was getting were becoming.

She didn’t know what her client wanted with the information she just gave her, but whatever it was, it wasn’t any of her business.

Just as she was thinking about that, her phone pinged and a message from the bank got in. When she saw the money transfer, a smile blossomed on her face. It was indeed good to deal with rich people. They were quite generous.

Talking about generosity, a calculative glint flickered in the young woman’s eyes as she thought of something that might enable her to earn more money.

Without giving it a try, how could she know?

With that in mind, the young woman’s eyes sparkled as she looked forward to the future. As long as she plays her cards right, she might be set for life. Who didn’t like that?

Meanwhile, on Chloe’s side, after parting with Briar, she went to Dave’s house. When she got there, she found the father and daughter both at home.

Since she and the two were a bit closer compared to before, she was welcomed a bit more warmly than the cold shoulders she used to receive before.

Kelly, upon seeing her mother, rushed towards the other with a cheerful smile, calling happily, "Mother!"

When Chloe heard that, a smile involuntarily blossomed on her face. The blessing of having such a good child to welcome her was truly wonderful.

It was a good thing that she left years ago. Otherwise, who knows if this child would still be here?

Dave watched Chloe with a dubious gaze, wondering what tricks she was going to play again today. However, he didn’t interfere in whatever they were doing and minded his own business while guarding himself, in case Chloe was at it again.

Unfortunately for him, apart from greeting him, Chloe didn’t seem interested in him at all but spent her effort with Kelly.

Chloe brought gifts for Kelly and the mother and daughter were busy playing games together. The house was full of laughter, which was quite rare but at the same time quite disturbing for Dave.

He had never seen Chloe so concentrated on Kelly and ignoring him like that.

’Is she ..... she can’t be trying to use this trick right to lure me?’ suddenly Dave thought about this trick and a smug smile appeared on his face. ’Tsk, she is playing games! Let’s see how long she would last!’

Chloe had no clue that her plan had been seen through already but even if she did, it wasn’t like she was going to follow the same path Dave thought she would.

She was here to stay.

On Briar’s side, later that evening after dinner, she took out the gifts she bought for everyone and shared them with their respective receivers and Logan was included in the list as well.

The family of five played with the new toys for a while before it was time to prepare to go to bed.

Briar visited each child and made sure that they were in their rooms. Although they weren’t sleeping yet, sending them to bed now and then had become a ritual.

For Tiana, after her night bath, Briar read a story for her and the little girl drifted to sleep within a short time. Apparently, she was too tired after playing for a long time during the day.

After watching Tiana sleeping, Briar went upstairs to join Logan, whom she found sleeping on the bed, wearing reading glasses with a tablet in hand.

With a glance, she could tell that he was working.

Briar didn’t join him but went to the bathroom where she took a shower, picked one of Logan’s favorite nightdresses, and put it on before returning to the bedroom.

Logan raised his head when he heard the door of the bathroom opening. When he saw her, a smile formed on his lips, seeing her wearing that black lace nightwear which revealed quite a lot despite the room being dark.

He swallowed hard, his eyes squinting and his hand putting the tablet away.

Briar smiled victoriously when she saw that. She happily hummed a tune as she walked towards the bed.

It didn’t take much before she joined Logan on the bed and the two were embracing each other.

Logan wasn’t in a hurry to toss his young wife. Sometimes relationships weren’t all about the deed. Although it was important in every relationship at times, having a nice chat was good as well.

So, with her in his arms, he asked her about her day and so forth. Briar was happy to share about her day without hiding her relationship with Chloe. Her husband should know already. It’s just that he doesn’t know what they were talking about, which was good for her.

While talking about children, Logan couldn’t help but put his hand on her flat belly and Briar’s body tensed as she wasn’t expecting him to do something like that.

"Hubby .... You, what are you doing?" her voice trembled as she asked Logan, suddenly having a bad feeling.

Logan couldn’t see Briar’s current expression at the moment but felt her trembling body and smiled. Thinking to himself how ticklish and sensitive she was.

If Briar could hear what he was thinking, she would have given him a roll but at the same time, feel relieved. After all, she wasn’t exposed.
