When Logan walked into the bedroom, he helplessly looked around, noticing that Briar was nowhere to be found.

He was expecting her to be still asleep, and yet she was nowhere to be found.

Seeing the room cleaned and windows opened, he knew what was happening. She didn’t leave the room yet, so she could only be in one place.

He walked towards the bathroom, pushed the door open and his lips involuntarily curled into a smile.

Meanwhile, inside the bathroom, Briar was rinsing the sheets when she heard the door opening. Her hands froze as she turned her head to look at Logan, who was the only person who could enter right now.

When the door opened, a smile graced her face as she saw his face. As for being shy, how could she remember that?

She looked at him with bright eyes, happy to see him. He looked more handsome. She wanted to keep on watching him.

Logan, on the other hand, was burning with desire inwards as he looked at Briar, who wore his shirt which was riding over her butt.

When crouching the way, she was. A lot of skin was exposed. And that skin was riddled with his markings. Seeing these marks on her skin, the memories of yesterday flooded his mind once again. The heat got fanned and all he could see was taking her in that position and reminiscing about a lot of things.

Briar shivered when she saw him looking at her like that. It was the first time in daylight that she had seen him acting like that. It made her body tremble. She hadn’t fully recovered and yet he was wearing such a face. Did he want to make her be ridden in bed before he was satisfied?

Not that he minded.

However, she couldn’t let him anywhere near her body right now. She needed to get back her energy before indulging in anything.

So, she smilingly called out to him, "Hubby, hello!" greeting him with a cheerful face that managed to pull Logan out of his dirty-minded thoughts.

Seeing her working hard despite what happened, his heart ached just slightly as he wondered if he hadn’t worked hard for her to be so energetic like that instead of sleeping.

Briar, unaware of what Logan was thinking, continued straightening with her gaze locked on him, a smile on his face.

She was just happy to see him and eager to make him forget about his desires right now.

Thankfully, despite his thoughts, he still pulled himself back and returned her greetings.

"What are you doing? You should have left that!" he admonished her lightly as he walked towards her, and this time Briar flushed with shyness as she looked to the side.

"You .... How could I just leave it?" she shyly answered as started squeezing the sheets.

Could it be that he wanted to keep it?

Logan, seeing her being evasive, smiled teasingly. "I wanted to keep it. How about it?"

Bam.

The sheets dropped in the tub and Briar looked at Logan with a dumbfounded expression, question marks written all over her face.

Logan, upon seeing that, smiled as he walked towards her.

It was still cute to tease her.

When he reached her, he wrapped his arms around her waist, drawing her towards him. Briar yelped at the unexpected embrace and glared at him coyly, knowing that she had been teased upon seeing his actions.

"How are you feeling? Do you feel any pain?" however, Logan didn’t move the way she thought he would but changed the topic, his tone laced with concern as he gazed deep into her eyes.

Upon hearing that, Briar, who wanted to act up for a while, found herself getting shy instantly. How could he ask her something like that?

However, her body was filled with warmth again, knowing that he was caring for her. When had she ever been cared for like that?

Suddenly, she thought of that bastard and her fists were about to clench when Logan’s voice pulled her out of her dark thoughts.

"I brought you some medicinal meals. You need to eat it when it’s warm. Let’s get back the energy we lost, shall we?"

Hearing that from him, all thoughts about that bastard vanished completely, and a smile blossomed on her face.

She nodded meekly, her gaze locking with his as if she wanted to imprint herself in his eyes.

Logan was now getting used to Briar’s abrupt show displays, so he didn’t sense anything wrong with seeing her like that. He just wanted to give her everything he had to make her know that she was loved.

The couple didn’t remain in the bathroom for a long time. Briar was nearly done with the sheets, so Logan helped her with the rest before bringing her to the dining room where he served her with the meal he brought from that famous restaurant.

Briar sat at the table with her eyes sparkling bright, inhaling the delicious aroma of the food in front of her. She was not a stranger to the food in front of her, as she had eaten it several times before.

However, because of how expensive it was, she didn’t like Logan buying it. It was better to cook such meals at home. After all, it wasn’t like she couldn’t do it.

Nonetheless, at this moment, seeing how caring he was to the extent of preparing such a nutritious meal for her after the torturous, pleasant and passionate night they both shared. She didn’t mind seeing this meal box at all.

It was money spent on her to care for her. How could she think about a measly amount of money that wasn’t even counted in his eyes?

"Thank you for the food!" she cheerfully and earnestly said before starting to dig into the food.

Logan watched as she ate her food enthusiastically and relished it. Just looking at her, his appetite found its way home.

He started digging in, and the couple enjoyed their first meal after consummation to the fullest.

After the meal, Logan did the dishes before bringing Briar to the bedroom, where she underwent a round of embarrassment.

"Hubby, don’t! I will apply it myself!" her howls were the only sounds heard from the bedroom before the same mouth started spilling moans.

It was a long day.
