With that thought, Gu Qiangwei planned to get up and take the card out of her bag. As she looked up, however, she found Qin Sijue staring at her. She was startled and froze in place.

"When did you wake up?"

"While you were lost in thought," he answered, still watching her with relish.

Gu Qiangwei pursed her lips, feeling somewhat guilty under his gaze.

He couldn’t have guessed what she was just thinking, could he?

As she wondered, Qin Sijue suddenly spoke.

"What are you thinking about? You’re so engrossed." So engrossed that she didn’t even notice him wake up and stare at her.

Gu Qiangwei was taken aback, "Uh... I was wondering about that card you gave me last time?"

"Hmm," he raised an eyebrow, nodding his head.

Gu Qiangwei scuttled up from her seat, grabbed her bag from a single sofa, took out the card, then returned to the side of the bed.

By now, Qin Sijue had already sat up, his gaze following her every move.

"So, how much money is on this card?"

She looked at him, asking with both curiosity and anticipation.

Qin Sijue suddenly frowned, fixating on her.

He had given her the gold card months ago when she showed no interest whatsoever. Why was she asking about the amount now?

"Didn’t you say you had no interest?"

Gu Qiangwei paused, "Well, now I am interested! How much is it?"

Although he felt something was off about her, he still replied, "Roughly, a few billion, I guess."

He wasn’t sure about the exact figures, but the balance in his usual gold cards was at least a few billion.

Seeing her utterly petrified expression, he leaned in playfully, "Haven’t seen so much money before?"

Speechless, she nodded her head, indeed she had not.

"You, get up first..." she pushed him, trying to shove away his robust figure.

But he was immovable as a mountain, impossible to budge!

"Answer me first, and I will naturally get up," he said.

She looked at him, discontentedly saying, "I told you, I wasn’t thinking about anything!"

"Then why is your face red?" he asked directly.

Gu Qiangwei felt even more embarrassed.

"I’m not blushing!"

"Ah, I get it now," Qin Sijue suddenly looked up, as if he had an epiphany.

His response stunned Gu Qiangwei, "You get what?"

He lowered his gaze again, landing on her slightly flushed face, his voice sensual and deep, "You’re not thinking about what we’re going to do next, are you?"
