Several girls loitered stealthily down each side of the patient waiting room corridor.

A passing nurse noticed and entered Tang Sili’s consulting room and said to Tang Sili, "Professor Tang, Dr. Ou from your team is really popular, isn’t he?

Tang Sili curved his mouth into a smile, "Of course. Haven’t you seen how handsome he is?"

At his words, an old lady being treated in his consulting room laughed so hard she couldn’t close her mouth.

The nurse fretted, "Professor Tang, aren’t you going to do something about it? What if someone really plans to elope with Dr. Ou? They’re just high school students. It’s illegal! If their parents come to our hospital causing a scene, I’m looking out for you, Professor Tang."

Tang Sili appeared to seriously consider her advice, crossing his arms over his chest in thought.

Ou Yanan had already slipped past them and gone out, thinking how his actions could possibly cause trouble for his teacher.

By the door, he saw two groups of girls on either side, who ducked their heads in the corridor when they saw him.

Ou Yanan, with one hand tucked in his white coat pocket, then walked towards the group of girls on his right.

Before Qiu Jiali could react, seeing Ou Yanan swiftly approaching, she was caught off-guard and stood frozen, timidly calling out, "Dr. Ou, are we disturbing your work?"

Ou Yanan glanced over them all, including the two behind, and crooked his finger at Qiu Jiali, "Come here with me."

Qiu Jiali, as if she had won the jackpot, cheerfully said to the girl next to her, "See, I told you, he actually dislikes rich girls."

She referred to the two girls across from them, stealthily peering at Ou Yanan, one of whom they knew as a girl from another prestigious school nearby their own, rumored to come from a very wealthy family. Actually, it was Kang Yueting and Zhu Jiayin.

Hearing Jiali’s seemingly boastful words, Zhu Jiayin snorted and touched her nose, "Who does she think she is? Does she really think he’s interested in her? No bust, no waist, if Dr. Ou really wanted her, I swear the sky would fall."

Kang Yueting made no comment but just dreamily stared at the back of Ou Yanan, utterly smitten. When Qiu Jiali was called away, she felt her heart might leap out of her chest.

Why hadn’t he called her, instead of a plain girl like Qiu Jiali, rumored to be from a disdainful nouveau riche family?

Triumphant, Qiu Jiali followed Ou Yanan to a quiet spot and asked with a beaming smile, "Dr. Ou, did you want to see me?"

Ou Yanan softly coughed and scanned her face to be sure she was the same girl who had been caught by his own mother during her last visit, calling him "Xiaosheng" at that moment.

"I need to ask you, do you know someone named Gu Nuan?"

Gu Nuan? Qiu Jiali faltered. Gu Nuan was her distant cousin. Typically, her family rarely spoke of the Gu family, as they weren’t wealthy, and despite being relatives, they weren’t close. However, recently, her mother had talked a lot about Gu Nuan, saying she could make a fortune for their family.
