Come and Eat, Shan Shan

I tried, very much to like this novel but, no. 

This kind of trope where ml is black belly and has fl on his beck and call can be written well, like in one novel with a ml who is the fl's childhood classmate and makes her his assistant so he can take revenge on her for "bullying" him and in another one, where fl decides to be ml's assistant for a month so as to apologise to him cause her brother hit him and ml takes advantage of this. So these novels actually exist and are my favorites. They are examples of black belly mls written well. 

But this, here fl's livelihood is at stake. He is her boss, so her job is in danger. So the ml here is very manipulative and inconsiderate. And fl is also very naive and accomodating. At the end the marriage is rushed and you'd be stuck, like when...?
