Chapter 480: Chapter 326: The Big Eater_1

"Let’s go eat first when mealtime comes; the private kitchen we’ve booked has good flavors," said Pan Youning.

Considering Feng Yi’s current popularity, they chose a dining environment that was relatively elegant to avoid being disturbed while eating.

During that time they ate starfish in Mo City, wasn’t Feng Yi recognized and rushed off?

Several years older and more composed, Pan Weining drove Feng Yi and Pan Youning to their destination.

Twenty minutes later, they reached a spot and parked the car.

"We need to walk a bit further; the car can’t go through."

The place was well-hidden, but the advantage was its tranquility, free from other disturbances, and the food was very tasty.

The trio walked on.

As they passed the yard of a local resident, Feng Yi saw an old lady holding a bowl of food, chasing after her grandson to feed him, while saying,

"Eat more, look, the stars on TV said so, you’ll only be strong if you eat a lot!"

Feng Yi: "..."

Seeing Feng Yi’s peculiar expression, Pan Weining, recalling something Feng Yi had said during an interview, told him, "Don’t mind it, nobody took that interview seriously during your event. This old lady might not even have formed her opinion from watching the live broadcast."

Pan Youning also chimed in, "Right! Even if Brother Yi you didn’t say it, they’d still believe it! Especially the elderly, they really believe in ’eating more gives you strength.’ When I was in middle school, the elders in my family said the same! Yet, no matter how much I ate, I still had trouble lifting a chicken!"

The Pan brothers didn’t take Feng Yi’s words seriously.

As they chatted idly, they arrived at their destination.

The ancient-style dwelling looked deserted from the outside, but to their surprise, once inside, there were quite a few customers.

Pan Weining had reserved a private room, not very large, but it was enough for three people. Even this room had almost slipped through his fingers, and he had finally managed to book it with the help of a friend.

If you wanted to reserve a more satisfactory private room, you’d have to do it at least a week in advance, and if you wanted a larger room, you’d have to plan even further ahead.

A few of Pan Weining’s friends had their get-together by booking a large room a month in advance.

Pan Weining took Feng Yi inside.

Feng Yi maintained a composed exterior, but inside, he was desperately hungry.

A literal hunger.

He could smell the aroma from afar!

If he hadn’t eaten beforehand, his stomach would surely be making its earnest calls by now.

There was no shame in this.

If you’re not keen on eating, there must be something wrong with your mind!

Once they settled in their reserved private room, there was no menu. The food had already been ordered in advance after they successfully reserved a table because the chef needed to prepare the ingredients ahead of time.

When Pan Weining went there in person to order the food, he contacted Feng Yi to decide the menu.

After all, everyone has different tastes: some don’t eat spicy, some dislike sweets, and some are allergic to certain ingredients.

When treating someone to a meal, it’s common courtesy to consider their preferences. Pan Weining didn’t know Feng Yi’s tastes and dietary restrictions, so he couldn’t make the decision on his own.

Feng Yi, however, left the matter to Pan Weining, a regular customer of the restaurant.

Feng Yi didn’t know what was delicious here, and besides, he wasn’t picky.

"No worries, you order. As long as it’s edible, I eat anything!" Feng Yi had said this at the time.

Pan Weining couldn’t take such a statement literally, considering it just polite talk.

He ordered several signature dishes and others that he thought tasted better, which other restaurant chefs couldn’t replicate.

The restaurant doesn’t allow wasting food; when he ordered too many dishes, the person in charge of taking orders advised him and mentioned the restaurant’s policy.

Pan Weining reassured them, "Rest assured, I’m familiar with the rules here, and I support the clean plate campaign myself. This time I’m hosting someone who saved my life, and I don’t know what he likes to eat, which is why I’ve ordered a wide variety. However, when we leave, please help us pack up the leftovers. I’ve already informed a friend, and he will come and pick them up later."

Since that’s what Pan Weining had said, the staff didn’t insist further.

Thus, in front of Feng Yi was a table full of rich dishes.

Observing him, Pan Weining noted that Feng Yi was only slightly surprised by the abundance of food, then calmly accepted it.

Well, it seemed like Feng Yi appreciated this kind of hospitality.

With just the three of them, and it not being their first meal together, being overly polite would only seem distant.

The atmosphere at the dining table was casual; they didn’t follow the rule of ’no talking while eating.’

"The taste is quite good. Are there any special requirements for making reservations here? I’d also like to bring relatives and friends next time," Feng Yi said.

"It’s truly delicious here, but you need to book several days ahead," Pan Weining explained the reservation policies at the restaurant to Feng Yi. He wasn’t emphasizing the difficulty of reserving to show how much effort he had put in, but booking here truly required several days’ notice.

If Feng Yi didn’t have other connections in Jing City, trying to book a table two or three days in advance would surely result in not getting a spot.

Talking about the reservation rules, Pan Weining also recommended a few dishes they hadn’t ordered this time because he wasn’t sure if Feng Yi would like them. So he mentioned them at the table, for them to try next time.

After getting to know the reservation process and the cuisines available here, Feng Yi then asked, "Is there any meteorite exhibition here in Jing City? Or perhaps private collections?"

"You can go to the Planetarium or the Geological Museum. As for private collections, I can ask my uncle; he was quite fond of collecting meteorites in the past. I’m not sure if he still has any."

Remembering his uncle’s past, Pan Weining laughed and told Feng Yi, "My uncle, as a boy, followed a meteorite hunter on a hunt without telling our family. He disappeared for over a month, and when he came back, he was double-teamed by my grandparents and grounded for quite a long time."
