Chapter 469: Chapter 321: Charter Flight_2
The upward trajectory of an up-and-coming career means missing a major event could be a huge loss. Having skimmed the edges of the entertainment industry, Feng Yi understood their feelings.
However, Feng Yi wouldn’t rashly agree.
"I’ll ask someone first," Feng Yi said.
"Ah! Yes, yes, thank you, Mr. Feng!"
The two agents stepped aside but didn’t just stand there; they immediately got in touch with their own artists to hurry over and put on a good show in front of Feng Yi.
With some free time on their hands, the two agents, out of professional habit, took the opportunity to observe Feng Yi.
Their two artists had emerged from the crowd of competitors to become new influencers; good looks were a given. The female artist aside, when it came to male artists, Lei Sheng wouldn’t have any advantage standing next to Feng Yi!
Feng Yi first asked the butler, explaining the situation at hand.
The butler readily agreed: "The plane is meant for your use, so of course you can invite guests to join you!"
Feng Yi had a feeling there was something off about the butler’s attitude and cautiously asked, "Is there anything on the plane that shouldn’t be seen by outsiders? I can go in and tidy up first."
Butler: "No."
Feng Yi felt at ease.
After talking with the butler, Feng Yi contacted the flight crew to inform them about the situation and to ask casually how many people he could bring.
While Feng Yi was on the phone, the two rising influencers had already arrived, looking eagerly at him along with their agents and assistants.
Lei Sheng’s agent faintly heard Feng Yi asking the person on the phone how many he could bring. He wanted to say something, but worried about interrupting Feng Yi’s call, he decided to hold back for the moment.
After hanging up, Feng Yi asked them, "How many of you are there?"
Lei Sheng’s agent replied, "Six... no, actually, if it’s convenient, just take Lei Sheng and little Lin with you, and we’ll find another way. We’ll cover the flight costs! We’ll pay double!"
Feng Yi glanced over the six individuals, gauging their emotional states.
Whether he would give them a lift depended on whether they bore him any ill will.
He was willing to help, but what was the point in helping someone who held malice toward him? They could take a hike!
The six people standing before Feng Yi, for some reason, felt a sudden nervousness when he looked over them.
Having finished his observation, Feng Yi beckoned to them, "Follow me."
"Ah! Thank you, Brother Feng!"
"Brother Feng, thanks so much!"
The two young artists addressed him as "Brother" every chance they got. Lei Sheng had intended to chat with Feng Yi about Feng Chi to get closer to him. But then he thought about the rumors on the internet—Feng Yi and Feng Chi were indeed cousins, but no one was sure what their relationship was really like.
Better not to blabber at times like this.
The six obediently followed Feng Yi, skipping the rest area there was no time. They went straight through security to the tarmac.
The flight crew was already waiting.
Feng Yi, leading the way, boarded the plane, then abruptly paused.
Looking at the once again transformed cabin, Feng Yi took a deep breath and closed his eyes.
The interior decorations of the plane had changed again!
The people behind him were already somewhat constrained and had no idea what the situation was on the plane or who else might be inside, so they kept their attention on Feng Yi.
Had they just heard a sharp intake of breath?
When Feng Yi stopped, Lei Sheng peeked forward to have a look but was held back by his agent, who gave him a meaningful look.
Lei Sheng immediately settled down, curbing his curiosity.
They only followed Feng Yi into the cabin after he had walked in.
Upon entering, everyone took a deep breath!
Inside the cabin, what caught their eyes was not the luxurious fittings, but a massive, minimalist style painting!
One side depicted Feng Yi, from only the waist up.
It was a scene of Feng Yi holding a trophy aloft when he won the Guardian award.
Some less than satisfactory details in the photos captured at the award ceremony were modified in the painting.
On the other side of the cabin was a tail.
A long serpent’s tail, extending from one end of the cabin to the other.
Feng Yi: This is what the hell kind of social death scene!
Butler! Are you sure this is okay for outsiders to see!!!
"Uh... this plane is?" Lei Sheng’s agent looked at Feng Yi.
The others looked over as well.
Such decorations would lead anyone to believe the plane belonged to Feng Yi!
Feng Yi kept a straight face, his expression calm as he said, "It’s an elder’s airplane."
"Oh, I see."
"It looks pretty nice!"
A few people chimed in agreement.
What they really thought was another matter.
In their eyes, having a person’s image painted on it, what kind of close elder would do that?
It was hardly believable that it wasn’t his own plane!
The painting that Feng Yi had won an award for clearly reflected an elder’s desire to show off and boast.
As for the snake tail on the other side, they could understand that as well. After all, Feng Yi was known for catching snakes, and they all knew it, so including some snake elements didn’t seem out of place.
Just like some people who are fond of large feline creatures sometimes decorate with leopard or tiger prints.
Feng Yi didn’t want to stand there anymore, and said to them, "Make yourselves at home, I’m going to rest in the bedroom for a bit."
The others said, "Brother Feng, go ahead and rest, you must be tired after completing a mission."
"Don’t worry about us, we’re just lucky ordinary passengers, we are very thankful you could give us a lift!"
Once Feng Yi entered the bedroom in the back, the others sat down.
Lin Weilan quietly asked her manager, "Can I take photos here?"
The manager said, "Better not to!"
Lei Sheng next door also wanted to take some photos but put the idea aside after hearing their conversation.
The two managers were observing the place.
"You can tell at a glance that this is a private space, not the kind of plane for rent to the public."
"The leather material is of excellent quality, and looking at the hidden markers, it’s provided by the top bionic leather manufacturing company—it’s high-end stuff!"
In their lavish and complex social circle, they’d seen plenty of luxury items, and they could recognize some of the decor details here, but there were also many that were unfamiliar to them.
"The embossing on the leather and the drawings on the fabric are all likely artistic designer editions, custom-made types."
Of course, not recognizing everything was no big deal, just from the details they did recognize, they could tell—this was a person they couldn’t afford to provoke!
The group became exceptionally well-behaved.
Lei Sheng typed on his phone to show his manager: "Is Feng Yi’s family background really this impressive? The information circulating online doesn’t say that."
There was no need to even consider any under-the-table rules; he had heard it for himself, that chef who seemed very formidable, calling Feng Yi "Boss."
The attitude of the cabin crew towards Feng Yi was also genuine, not just superficial courtesy.
Plus, he had heard about Feng Yi splurging on a stone at a charity auction during the Dragon Boat Festival.
Lei Sheng’s manager typed a few words back on the phone: "Stay in your lane now that you know, and don’t overthink it. Rest up and adjust your condition!"
In truth, Lei Sheng’s manager was also curious about Feng Yi’s background. There were still many people curious about the source of Feng Yi’s funds, but the harder it was to uncover, the more it proved his extraordinary background!
To be honest, they had considered riding on Feng Yi’s popularity before boarding, creating some high-profile topics for their artist. But now, they had put that all aside.
Best to stay put and not act up, lest they get squashed.
In the bedroom.
Feng Yi had initially planned to sit for a while and wait until the plane stabilized after takeoff before taking a shower.
In the morning before leaving, he had been invited by an investigator to identify a snake caught in a scenic area. That snake was a local species, not large, and would probably have been eaten by a king cobra had they not caught them in advance.
Now, with a snake scent on him that others might not detect, Feng Yi could, and he felt somewhat uncomfortable. He decided to rinse off.
Just as he walked into the bedroom and saw the item on the cabinet next to it, his brow twitched fiercely.
There was a not too big model placed in that area of the bedroom.
It was Feng Yi’s chibi figure.
It was very likely the new chibi model that the butler had just finished making.
Feng Yi recalled what the butler had said when he asked him at the time—
"I have used it for something else."
This was the "something else"?!
Wasn’t he afraid someone would discover it?!
Though an average person wouldn’t associate it with Feng Yi at first glance, likely thinking it was a character from some video game or an animated series.
To be safe, Feng Yi moved the model inside the cabinet.
Of course, there was another reason—he always felt a bit embarrassed seeing the thing.
Such a chibi figure compromised his sharp and serious image!
