Chapter 420: Chapter 298: Is He Afraid of Getting Hit_1

Some snakes exhibit egg incubation behavior, while others do not.

Previously, when opening python eggs at Yang City Zoo, Feng Yi watched some videos on python egg incubation and listened to zoo staff discussing how to safely remove python eggs during their incubation.

Right before he was about to fall asleep just now, the image of a python incubating eggs suddenly popped into his mind!

And it woke him up in an instant!

Thinking about it made him feel a bit embarrassed and ashamed.

However, since he had decided to "season" the meteorite and give it to the butler...

Feng Yi stared at the stone in front of him.

Forget it, if egg incubation is necessary, then so be it, as long as no one sees!

After a round of self-comfort and adjustment, Feng Yi felt calm again.

It’s not that big of a deal!

Go to sleep!

This time, without any psychological burden, he quickly fell into a deep sleep.

The next day when he woke up, Feng Yi realized he had overthought things last night!

The meteorite that had initially been surrounded by him had been squeezed to the edge of the bed and was nearly falling off.

The reason it hadn’t fallen wasn’t because it was luckily not pushed over the edge, but because it was entwined by the tip of his tail.

Thinking back to his sleeping position before bed, and then looking at the scene before him.

It was as if you placed a pillow beside you before sleeping, and when you woke up, found the pillow under your feet!

Is my sleeping posture that bad?

Or, does the tail have a mind of its own?

He moved his tail, rolling up the meteorite that had been pushed to the edge of the bed and pulling it closer.

With one hand, he picked up the meteorite and examined it closely.

To his surprise, the surface of the meteorite had developed a thin layer of specialized material, invisible to the naked eye of ordinary people, but Feng Yi could feel it.

Perhaps at night while sleeping, the energy stored within him resonated with the energy material inside the meteorite, working together to make the "seasoning" appear faster?

No matter what, the "seasoning" appeared faster than he had anticipated!

"Turning this meteorite into a seasoned piece doesn’t seem that difficult after all."

Feng Yi placed the meteorite at the edge of the bed, ready to continue the next night.

With such efficiency, it wouldn’t be long before he could present it as a gift.

He got up with a flick of his tail, ready to start a new day.

Having just returned to Yang City, Feng Yi had no immediate plans to visit friends and aimed to enjoy a few days of comfort and peace at home.

Importantly, at home he could eat well! And eat plenty!

In a good mood, Feng Yi went to the underground lab and took two large tubes of venom for Wu.

After being away on a mission for some time and not supplying venom, the Ancestral Factory was running low on raw materials, and Geng had subtly reminded him.

The subtle way was through bank account deposit notifications—

Geng (sending money like crazy): Boss, are you back yet? Remember what you promised?

Of course, Feng Yi remembered.

He couldn’t forget about this, it was his little money-making scheme!

After supplying the materials, Feng Yi used the method provided by Wu to maintain the two venomous fangs. Then he went upstairs to leisurely sip tea and enjoy the view on the second-floor balcony.

Before he could finish a cup of tea, his phone chimed with a new message.

Feng Chi: [Are you back in Yang City? Can we talk?]

Feng Yi sent a video call request.

The other side picked up immediately.

Feng Chi: "Finally back? Come out for a drink!"

Feng Yi: "I got back yesterday afternoon. What’s up, something on your mind?"

Feng Chi appeared troubled, "Yeah, there’s something. If you’re available, let’s grab a drink and chat."

Feng Yi didn’t press for details, simply replying, "Okay. Where at?"

Feng Chi: "I’ll send you a location. It’s a new secret base I found."

Their old secret base was undergoing demolition and reconstruction, so Feng Chi had found a new place for their new base.

They didn’t talk much in the video, and after the call, Feng Yi drained his cup of tea, got ready in a simple disguise, and had Jia drive a low-profile car out.

Feng Chi must have had something he needed to discuss in person, and he seemed not to be in the best of moods. If he was in good spirits, based on what Feng Yi knew about Feng Chi, he would have been bombarding him with messages about his glamorous path to stardom by now. However, he had been unusually quiet for the past couple of days.

Generally, Feng Chi’s calmness means one of two things: he is either up to something big, or he’s encountered something troublesome and can’t make waves.

It was now clear that it was the latter.

But Feng Yi wondered what could be troubling Feng Chi to this extent.

If it were something related to the entertainment industry, Feng Chi would have talked about it over the phone, whether it was sharing gossip or ranting about certain industry practices, without worrying about being recorded by Feng Yi.

But if it wasn’t related to the entertainment industry, and involved Feng Yi himself, then the most likely scenario was something to do with the Feng Family in Yang City.

With a guess in his mind, Feng Yi brought a small gift from the Dragon Boat Festival art fair in Rong City and arrived at Feng Chi’s newly established secret base.

The location was more secluded, and the space was bigger.

After entering the password, Feng Yi opened the door and stepped in.

Before him was a space decorated in post-modern industrial style, giving off a rugged and robust vibe.

From the smell, the place had been renovated for a while, although some furniture was newly bought and had a stronger scent.

Inside, there was no one else except for Feng Chi and Feng Yi.

When Feng Yi entered, Feng Chi was throwing darts.

Hearing the movement at the door, Feng Chi glanced back, saw Feng Yi come in, and continued throwing darts. He still had a few darts in his hand to throw.

Feng Yi placed the bag of items on the table, "This place is nice."

Feng Chi smiled, "Bought it a few years ago, only got around to renovating last year, and it’s been empty for more than half a year."

Feng Yi walked over, and without needing to analyze Feng Chi’s emotional information, just by Feng Chi’s dart-throwing stance, he could tell his mood.
