After leaving Yu Qiao’s shop, Feng Yi didn’t go straight back but headed to Lu Yue’s company instead.

Even if he hadn’t known about the Cultural Arts Festival, he would have planned to meet with Lu Yue before leaving Rong City.

They had been in contact, and Lu Yue had mentioned several times that if Feng Yi came to Rong City, he must let him know and not leave silently without a word.

Feng Yi had informed Lu Yue about this trip to Rong City as well.

Lu Yue originally wanted to invite Feng Yi to a private kitchen restaurant for a meal, but he had been too busy recently and couldn’t find the right time, so he told Feng Yi to come directly to his company whenever he was available.

Feng Yi sent a message in advance and, when he arrived at Lu Yue’s company, Lu Yue had an assistant waiting downstairs to take him up via the private elevator to his office floor.

Lu Yue had just finished a video conference and was holding a tea cup, taking sips to moisten his throat.

Seeing Feng Yi, Lu Yue hurriedly stood up to greet him.

"Junior, long time no see!"

Although they were alumni, it wasn’t as if Lu Yue was this enthusiastic with every one of them. There were many successful alumni, but only a few could elicit such a demeanor from him.

In his eyes, Feng Yi belonged to the category worth building a connection with.

"Brother Yue," Feng Yi walked in.

"Sit!" Lu Yue personally poured a cup of tea for Feng Yi, "I just finished a meeting and now it’s break time. Let’s chat first."

Noticing the weariness on Lu Yue’s face and the slight dark circles under his eyes, Feng Yi asked,

"Busy?"

"Just during this period. It’ll be better once it’s over," Lu Yue replied.

"Is it about the Dragon Boat Cultural Arts Festival?" Feng Yi asked.

Lu Yue looked slightly surprised but not too shocked.

His company had already been promoting events related to the festival, and even if Feng Yi had only come to Rong City in the last couple of days, there were many ways he could have heard about it.

"Exactly that! Where did you hear about it?" Lu Yue inquired.

"I got it from boss Yu Qiao. I just came from her place. I have some interest in a type of ancient coin, and she has collected some," Feng Yi explained.

Lu Yue nodded, not bothering to ask how much Feng Yi spent or what he bought but simply asking, "How long are you staying in Rong City?"

"I originally planned to leave the day after tomorrow, but hearing about the Dragon Boat Cultural Arts Festival from Boss Yu today made me want to check it out," Feng Yi said.

"Hey, that’s perfect!" Lu Yue said excitedly, "We have a booth there, and we’ll be running some events to promote our summer clothing series. We’ve also invited a couple of fairly well-known models; you could come and have a look. There are some other activities at the festival’s venue, and if you’re free, I’ll take you there. You need an invitation for the inner area, but don’t worry about that; I’ll sort it out for you!"

Feng Yi smiled, "I heard about that from Boss Yu, and she has already helped me get an invitation."

Lu Yue silently complained about how quick Yu Qiao was!

He had been planning to offer Feng Yi a great deal, especially since Feng Yi seemed interested.

Hearing that Feng Yi was interested in an ancient coin in the charity auction, Lu Yue’s brows furrowed; he wasn’t very familiar with that.

He had heard about what items might be auctioned, but ancient coins were not within his scope of interest, so he hadn’t looked into it deeply and only had a vague impression.

Unable to offer any help with the ancient coin, Lu Yue instead began to introduce Feng Yi to the contents of the upcoming Dragon Boat Cultural Arts Festival.

Most of Feng Yi’s clothes were now managed by his butler, who claimed that they were made by an acquaintance of his elderly friend. The clothes didn’t bear any logos, and it was unclear who made them.

The butler had been vague and nonchalant when speaking about it, and Feng Yi hadn’t asked for details at the time.

Lu Yue said absentmindedly, "Oh, custom-made, I see... Wait a second!"

Lu Yue rose from his seat and closed in on Feng Yi rapidly, his gaze fixed on the fabric of Feng Yi’s clothes as if he had spotted something marvelous, "May I take a closer look at the material of your clothes?"

Although unsure why Lu Yue was so excited, Feng Yi said, "Sure."

Lu Yue picked up the fabric near Feng Yi’s cuff and examined it closely.

He glanced at Feng Yi now and then; his look was laden with complex emotions: a mix of surprise, sentiment, and the excitement of uncovering a secret, as if trying to see through Feng Yi’s exterior to study what was hidden beneath.

Feng Yi knew that Lu Yue had discovered something about the clothing material and became internally alert, though his expression remained calm.

He discerned the emotional cues in Lu Yue’s demeanor and saw no negative signs.

With a somewhat puzzled smile, Feng Yi asked, "What’s wrong?"

Lu Yue clicked his tongue twice as he sized up Feng Yi, with an expression that seemed to say, "Little guy, I’ve uncovered your secret, haven’t I?"
