Closer to Revealing My True Self

Chapter 316: Chapter 236_2

Live Stream Audience:

["Practice Makes Perfect"]

[Technology has not been upgraded yet, team member -1]

[Let Brother Se handle this one, you guys stop interfering, or we’ll be down another team member]

Usually, Host She prides himself as a professional, and the live stream audience also sees him that way, but at this moment, the harsh reality shows them just how big the gap is between true professionals and "ordinary professionals."

Reading the comments in the live stream room, Host She feels the need to defend himself:

"The assistant who was helping to shoot just now didn’t provoke it on purpose; he was too close, and the python pulled a sneaky one. It would catch anyone off guard. Hmm, we definitely didn’t expect it to have a trick up its sleeve."

"Let me explain, we indeed didn’t provoke it on purpose this time. However, they might not be used to this place yet. First is the smell, second is the body heat, they identify targets by their sense of smell and infrared perception."

Upon mentioning this, Host She’s face turns red.

The words he had just spoken were still fresh.

He just mentioned "the python being in a stable mood," "if one doesn’t provoke it and pretends to be a branch or stone, one could handle snakes," but before he could finish speaking, he got sneakily bitten by the python.

The slap in the face came too fast.

He now had a sense of wariness toward this python and didn’t dare to make bold claims in front of the live stream camera about practicing on it. What if there were an accident during the live broadcast?

[Not continuing to move the snakes?]

[For safety reasons, hand it over to Brother Se]

[Can only say, there’s a real difference between professionals and amateurs]

[She and the rest still need more practice]

[That’s why Brother Se is Brother Se, and She is just She. "Brother" is not that easy a title to hold, and "skills" are not that easy to brag about]

[She, we have to admit when we’re outmatched, don’t we? Nothing to be ashamed of.]

Host She is clever. At times like these, facing his fans and openly admitting defeat can help him save some face.

Adjusting his attitude, Host She turns the camera:

"Right! When you lose, you have to admit it. When you get knocked down, you have to stand up straight!"

"Compared with the real deal, Brother Se, we are definitely lousy!"

"Think about Brother Se’s opening move just now! Effortless, turning the complicated into the simple!"

"Watching him move the snakes, it feels like I’ve seen all his moves, and yet it seems like I’ve seen none. That’s probably what being an expert is all about!"

Live Stream Audience: ...

[Forget it, She, as long as everyone knows your stance, that’s enough]

[Not necessary, really not necessary! There’s no need to turn into a bootlicker!]

Host She stops his burst of excessive praise as soon as he sees Feng Yi coming over.

Feng Yi smells the scent of blood, but judging by the expressions of others, it doesn’t seem too serious.

"Nothing happened just now, right?" asked Feng Yi. He couldn’t ask directly, so he had to put it this way.

"No problem, just now someone got scraped by the open mouth of this python," an employee explained.

Feng Yi looks at the "sneaky" python. Its temper is indeed not mild.

"I’ll take this one as well," said Feng Yi, going over to handle it.

And then, the same scene as before is repeated.

Live Stream:

[She, quick! Brother Se is moving a snake again!]

[Hurry up, this time learn well, we urgently need to upgrade our skills]

[Closer! Even closer! With Brother Se around we have nothing to fear!]

[Look at its slender neck]

[The snake looks so benign and unassuming now, you’d never guess how crafty it was just a moment ago]

Watching Feng Yi move the snake away just like before, Host She averts his gaze.

Still feels like he learned nothing!

He saw, yet it was as if he had not seen.

Indeed, the skills of an expert are hard to learn!

Feng Yi moves the second python to its designated enclosure.

Assistant Wu comes over to whisper a few words to him.

Glancing around, Feng Yi says to an employee next to the enclosure, "There was a situation over there; I’ll go check it out. There are still a few pythons left; tell them to quickly move them to their designated enclosures."

Feng Yi didn’t bother to move the rest and left it to the staff here.

His task today was to assist, not to take on everything.

It wouldn’t do for the employees to just take their wages and do no work.

Over there, Host She waited for a while until he got the news of Feng Yi’s departure.

Seeing the activity level in the live broadcast room begin to drop, he quickly urged everyone to start moving the snakes.

"Brother Se had to leave for a bit, but we’ll go find him later. Let’s finish the task at hand first."

With his phone in hand, Host She signaled his colleagues that they could start.

Luckily, the remaining few were docile, meaning they weren’t very difficult to handle.

However, only when they actually got to the task of moving them could they appreciate the weight these creatures had for their size.

"Think it doesn’t look heavy? Try it and you’ll see how heavy it is!"

"You only truly understand when you’re in direct contact, that this is a big muscle! Even if it doesn’t exercise much, its muscles are solid."

"Muscle is much heavier than fat for the same volume."

"Generally speaking, Reticulated pythons have a slimmer figure than Burmese pythons, but with this size, they’re not going to be light either."

Host She, holding his phone, didn’t join in with the moving but he couldn’t just stand around doing nothing either.

When it came time to move the last lavender albino python, Host She didn’t let his colleagues carry it straight in. Instead, at the door of the breeding room, he had them put it down.

Then...

"Watch my slide tackle!"

Host She mumbled to himself as he quickly ran to the python’s path in front of the breeding room door and lay down.

Holding up his phone, he filmed from a close first-person perspective.

"This angle, pretty clear, huh?"

The fans in the live broadcast room hadn’t expected him to pull off such a flashy move.

[Ahhh!]

[Here it comes! Here it comes!]

[Those holes on its lips are so clear!]

[Don’t come over here!]

[I heard snakes start eating from the head, is it looking for its head? [The Stare of the Husky]]

As the giant python approached Host She, the comments surged.

Host She addressed his viewers professionally, "New friends remember to hit follow, I’m She from Yang City Zoo..."

Despite his calm words, he was actually nervous.

Even though he knew this python had a mild temperament and had been fed before it was transported, having such a large python right next to him still made him tense.

But seeing the live stream comments, likes, and donations light up one after another, Host She felt his actions were totally worth it!

He stopped looking at the screen and focused intently on the approaching python head.

The python seemed puzzled by the obstacle lying in its path, flicking its tongue to sense and figure out what it was.

Host She was so nervous he stopped making any comments.

The python seemed like it wanted to go around, but ultimately it crawled right over Host She and into the well-furnished breeding room.

Host She breathed a sigh of relief, feeling the sweat on his neck.

"Look at its patterns, this big baby is a lavender albino Reticulated python, it... ow!"

"It... so heavy!"

"It’s not that I’m exaggerating, but I can feel it pressing down!"

"I can feel the strength of its crawling!"

Host She spoke while gesturing to his colleagues not to come over and help.

While there was a bit of a performance, the pressure he felt was indeed greater than he had imagined.

"Every close encounter, I have to marvel at the incredible musculature of snakes, solid, and full of power!"

"Apart from the weight, there’s also the muscular squeeze to bear."

"Right, my colleagues also had a tough time carrying the snake just now. After all, it’s a living thing, a big moving muscle!"

Just carrying it on his shoulder felt strenuous, let alone if he tried to do it like Feng Yi, carrying it around his neck for poses and photos. To carry it all the way like that, allowing it to look around, would be too difficult!

So, how did Feng Yi manage to handle those two big babies with such ease?
