Chapter 249: Chapter 189: I Want to Make Secret Arrangements, and Then..._2
The reporter then asked him about his plans for the future.
Locals all know that if Feng Yi inherits a portion of Old Man Feng’s estate, would he then engage in commercial work?
To this, Feng Yi firmly stated, "I have my own career and am not too interested in others."
Even if he had other ideas, he couldn’t say them!
As for whether he would return to the entertainment industry, Feng Yi’s response was succinct, "No return."
If it were someone else, with the looks and the hot topics, why not take advantage of the current heat and make a quick buck?
Feng Yi had no such plans; he needed to seize the opportunity to infiltrate the Joint Security Bureau!
While Feng Yi earnestly responded to the journalists’ questions, inside the venue.
Feng Chi brought his cousins to visit the exhibition.
His original thought was to bring more people to support Feng Yi, so as not to have a low visitor count and have people say Feng Yi lacked pull. In such matters, even if it was unrelated to Feng Yi, people would still scheme to pin the blame on him.
However, upon arriving, they realized that the place was seriously packed!
All people!
Why were there so many people!
You had to queue to see the giant snake!
Was everyone coming to visit the exhibition for the Lantern Festival?
Feng Chi listened to the surrounding chatter and learned that many visitors didn’t necessarily know Feng Yi, but were attracted by the online promotion, especially the Titanoboa, which was recently a hot topic online, thus riding the wave of popularity.
Feng Chi regretted coming; had he known it would be so crowded, he wouldn’t have come!
Wiping the sweat from his forehead, he still had to keep an eye on his younger cousins.
With the Titanoboa area being overcrowded, they started at the dinosaur section and slowly made their way over.
Yang City had another dinosaur park, so this new museum didn’t include many dinosaur elements. With limited space, the dinosaur section only had large dinosaur images, as well as small dinosaur fossils or models.
Normally uninterested in these things, Feng Chi couldn’t identify what he saw and therefore didn’t go over to look closely, just listening to his cousins chatter away.
"The sign says that the Oviraptor didn’t actually steal eggs; it’s just that its name hasn’t been changed yet."
"Not only that, but it’s said that the Oviraptor might have been incubated by the father."
An older child said, "Some dinosaurs’ eggs really might have been incubated by the fathers. According to the introduction here, Oviraptor-type eggs are large and numerous. Among birds, large and numerous eggs might be incubated by fathers, even if the eggs aren’t from the same father. Primitive birds, like ostriches and emus, exhibit paternal incubation behaviors."
Hearing them discuss, Feng Chi walked over to look at the fossil models there.
"If that’s true, it’s really tragic," Feng Chi sighed.
The people who were discussing turned to look at him.
Feng Chi continued to muse, "Just imagine a dragon about to become a dad, warming eggs in its nest, when disaster strikes and buries the nest with him. Millions of years later, he’s unearthed as a fossil, and the excavators exclaim, ’Whoa! This guy’s stealing eggs!’ And then they slap him with the poor reputation of being a thief. Isn’t that tragic? It’s so sad! They now want to change its name, but it’s not something that can be done overnight."
After the sigh, he lost interest, glanced at the crowd around the Titanoboa, and suggested to his cousins, "Let’s go see the other snakes first; there are too many people by the Titanoboa."
Feng Chi wanted to see the museum’s python specimens or models; he feared the live ones, but not the inanimate models.
Leading the group past the Titanoboa, they arrived at the python section.
A glance revealed reticulated pythons, Burmese pythons, and anacondas, the displayed specimens all approached extreme individual sizes, offering an impactful sight!
Feng Chi was pleased, slipped over to snap a few photos for a group selfie, and then posted them on his social circle to show off.
His cousins were only moderately interested in these and turned to look at others.
After taking the photos, Feng Chi followed the kids, listening to them debate about "this one is extraordinary" and "that one is incredible." Not understanding any of it himself, he couldn’t help but ask, "Which one is the strongest on Earth?"
His younger cousin replied, "Tyrannosaurus! I saw a huge one at the dinosaur exhibition last time."
Cousin 1 said, "The meanest on Earth has to be the big cats! With equivalent size, they’re extremely savage!"
Cousin 2 argued, "Psh! Don’t insects deserve names too?! Just look at that mantis up there; you’d be in trouble facing a one-meter-tall mantis, not to mention one our size!"
The kids started arguing again, and Feng Chi curled his lip.
The kids didn’t know anything.
Clearly, the strongest on Earth is humanity!
He browsed his phone, chatting with contacts while keeping an eye on the movements of his cousins. As time was almost right, he noticed that the crowd at the Titanoboa exhibit had thinned. Feng Chi quickly summoned them to make a dash for the Titanoboa area. If they didn’t seize the chance now, it would get busy again later.
He found out through chatting that the venue was so full today they had to limit the flow of visitors, admitting them in waves. Feng Chi wanted to take a group photo by the Titanoboa before the next wave of people came in.
If the pythons’ area had only been impactful, then the Titanoboa exhibit was truly stunning!
"Wow—"
Feng Yi gaped, looking up at the tremendous beast before him.
The massive snake, set against the backdrop of surrounding plants, added a touch of the sinister and ferocious.
Its front body raised, looking down on the people below as if it were about to attack at any moment.
Seeing the enormous snake body and the predatory head, Feng Chi, despite knowing it was fake, felt a chill run down his spine.
Snakes really were born killers!
The museum had chosen to place the Titanoboa model in the central exhibit area instead of a Tyrannosaurus or other large dinosaurs, first, because there were increasingly many dinosaur-themed exhibitions and parks in the country, and second, to capture the trending topic.
