Chapter 129: Chapter 110 Moving Again_2

However, the butler just smiled, "It’s been too long, I can’t remember exactly, but from what I recall, it should be suitable."

Feng Yi thought that if the house really was suitable, it would be good to move over sooner rather than later to avoid damaging the house he was currently living in.

More marks on the walls would be alright, as they could be fixed if they were unpleasant to look at, but looking at the past couple of days, the scratches on the walls were getting longer, affecting the structural layer as well. If this continued, Feng Yi didn’t know if the bedroom wall would simply collapse.

Instinct told him that the destructive power would only grow stronger.

A complete collapse of the whole wall wasn’t out of the question.

Right now, major renovations weren’t an option, and staying would only worsen the damages.

After giving it some thought, Feng Yi made up his mind, "Then let’s get ready to go to Yang City!"

He was truly curious to see what his great-grandmother’s house by the Lu Hai of Yang City was like. Could it withstand his current "growing pains"?

If the butler said it was suitable for him to live in, then it should be able to withstand the turmoil.

Since he had decided to go to Yang City, and might even stay there until next spring before returning, there were some loose ends to tie up here in Rong City.

Feng Yi gave the butler a day to make arrangements; they would depart for Yang City tomorrow.

The butler and the other four people hadn’t lived in Rong City before, so they could leave right away. The one day was for the butler to arrange things in Yang City, including some property-related formalities that needed to be applied for in advance.

Jia and Yi were arranged to drive to Yang City ahead of time.

Feng Yi would definitely take a flight to Yang City during the day. Driving there would take too long, and what if there was a traffic jam? What would he do if he ended up stuck on the road exposed in the middle of the night?

Feng Yi drove his own car to the city area. Ding offered to help drive, but he declined, preferring to drive to the residential area by himself.

Several delivery riders’ motorcycles were parked outside Wu Ji’s shop, indicating that sales from online platforms were doing well.

On seeing Feng Yi, Wu Ji’s face lit up with joy, "I didn’t see you over the Mid-Autumn Festival, when did you come back?"

"Just got back, but I’ll be leaving again tomorrow," Feng Yi said, taking the tea Wu Ji handed him.

"Leaving again? How long will you be gone this time? A couple of days ago, Qian Feiyang and I were saying we should find time for the three of us to go cycling together! Since I’ve opened the shop, I haven’t gone on any long trips. Qian Feiyang is even more of a homebody."

"Off to Yang City. I might not return until the start of next year," Feng Yi said.

"That long?" Wu Ji was surprised, "Oh right, you lived in Yang City before going to university."

Wu Ji had heard this from Feng Yi before, and so he understood that since Feng Yi’s family was in Yang City, it made sense for him to spend more time there, and it was even possible that he would stay there for career development in the future.

"It’s just a pity that you won’t be able to join us for a cycling trip. I heard that just before this Mid-Autumn Festival, there was an awesome cyclist along the plateau route riding a black bike, climbing hills without stopping, just zooming past! They’d carry the bike around traffic jams; super cool! Online everyone’s calling him ’Black Rider,’ but there’s been no news of him for the past few days."

Feng Yi quietly sipped his tea, holding the cup steadily.

Black Rider, I have no idea about.

After chatting with Wu Ji for a while, Feng Yi went to notify Qian Feiyang as well, but unfortunately, he didn’t get to pet the cat as it ran away upon seeing him.

It was still a case of cats detesting and dogs despising.

Even over at the Yue Xiu community, although the little swan was always eyeing his place, it was because of the active factors formed by the leaking energy. Without those, the little swan would still keep its distance from him.

After greeting both of his good friends, knowing he would be away for quite some time, Feng Yi shut off the water and electricity at his apartment in the community, gave away the perishable items in his fridge and the items in his place that couldn’t be left for too long to Wu Ji and Qian Feiyang. He made sure to secure the doors and windows too; you never know if mice might get in after a lengthy absence.

He sent messages to other acquaintances in Rong City to inform them.

Luckily, there were no current collaborations with Lu Yue, but after seeing the message from Feng Yi, Lu Yue took the time to call and chat for a bit. Business had been too hectic lately, and although Lu Yue would have liked to grab a drink with Feng Yi, he just couldn’t find the time.

"I’ll be in Yang City on a business trip after a while; we’ll catch up then," said Lu Yue.

"Sure, let’s meet up in Yang City."

But Feng Yi wondered what expression Lu Yue would have when he finally saw the house in Lu Hai of Yang City.

He had lunch with Wu Ji and Qian Feiyang at noon, and when he returned to the Yue Xiu community, Feng Yi just happened to see Bing catching a little swan as he was leaving.

"Another one flew in?"

Feng Yi noted that the little swan looked quite calm in Bing’s hands. True to a chef’s skill, his grip on the swan was steady.

"This is the third one today," Bing replied.

"Did you catch them all on the balcony?"

"Yes, thankfully I kept the balcony door closed, so they couldn’t get in."

"All right, you’d better release that little swan quickly. That rescue worker has been watching you the whole time."

The released little swan flapped its wings and flew toward the river, apparently uninjured, while the bird rescuer who had been watching from afar gave Bing a thumbs-up.

Having Bing’s help with catching little swans certainly saved a lot of trouble; there was no need for Feng Yi to make calls or for the rescuer to come over again.

In the evening, after taking a bath and wearing a bathrobe, Feng Yi browsed his phone for a while. His feelings were mixed about leaving for Yang City, but he quickly set those thoughts aside as the familiar wave of tiredness hit him. Feng Yi took off the bathrobe, realizing that in order to grow properly, he needed to get used to sleeping naked.
