Chapter 823: Chapter 0824: Call Someone Over
From a young age, Zhang Shaowei had always been an arrogant person, and even now, that hadn’t changed. Yet, he never expected that after years of practicing military boxing, he would be directly knocked to the ground by the young man in front of him.
What’s more, the kick left him gasping for breath in pain.
As he noticed the disdainful looks from the boys and girls nearby, Zhang Shaowei rose from the ground, his eyes red with fury. He went berserk, determined to fight Ye Qiu to the death.
This young man had utterly humiliated him, crushing his dignity and self-esteem!
When Zhang Shaowei got up and tried to take Ye Qiu down once again, Ye Qiu sneered coldly. No one saw how Ye Qiu moved, but Zhang Shaowei was slammed to the ground once more. Looking down at him, Ye Qiu said, "Still not learning your lesson? Do you think you’re so remarkable?"
After he finished speaking, Ye Qiu delivered a fierce kick to Zhang Shaowei’s chest.
Writhing on the ground in pain, Zhang Shaowei’s bloodshot eyes fixed on Ye Qiu as he yelled, "My brother is a Colonel! Mess with me, and you’re dead!"
"I don’t care who your brother is. If he’s so capable, then bring him!"
Ye Qiu replied coldly.
He had already figured out the background of this instructor, suspecting that the man might have connections and that was why he acted so cocky. But Ye Qiu didn’t care whether he was a king or a god—Ye Qiu was Ye Qiu.
Initially, Ye Qiu wasn’t that angry, but now that Zhang Shaowei mentioned his so-called Colonel brother, Ye Qiu grew even more enraged. He delivered several more ferocious kicks until Zhang Shaowei curled up in pain, and only then did Ye Qiu stop.
The freshmen who were watching nearby were now both stunned and fearful, unable to believe how ruthless Ye Qiu could be in a fight.
"This is your warning—try it again, and it won’t be this simple next time!"
Ye Qiu said coldly.
He didn’t stick around. For people like Zhang Shaowei, Ye Qiu had no sympathy; in his eyes, Zhang Shaowei was nothing more than a pest, an insignificant ant.
As Ye Qiu walked away, Luo Yang and the others followed him.
From the moment Zhang Shaowei had mentioned his brother being a Colonel, Luo Yang realized that this instructor wanted to exploit his connections to intimidate others. What he didn’t understand was that Ye Qiu simply didn’t care.
After Ye Qiu left, Liu Lingxiu appeared worried.
After all, Ye Qiu had just beaten up that instructor Zhang Shaowei for her, and Zhang Shaowei might have some influential connections.
Once Ye Qiu was gone, Wu Shuang released the instructors he had been holding back, allowing them to approach Zhang Shaowei.
The instructors found Zhang Shaowei still lying on the ground.
When two of them tried to help Zhang Shaowei up, he shoved them away instead, feeling betrayed. To him, these instructors had merely been spectators to his humiliation, not one stepping in to defend him.
"Brother, I’ve been bullied!"
"You’re a soldier, a grown man—who dared to bully you?"
Zhang Shiwei just stepped out of a hospital ward, puzzled.
"I was bullied by a freshman!"
Zhang Shaowei replied.
"You’re a platoon leader, and you lost to a freshman?"
Zhang Shiwei couldn’t believe it. He didn’t want to deal with his younger brother now, knowing full well that the kid had always been pampered, overly spoiled by their parents.
"Platoon Leader Zhang, why are you back?"
Deputy Platoon Leader Shi Xiong asked in confusion as he trained soldiers nearby.
Shi Xiong knew that Zhang Shaowei liked to volunteer as an instructor for university freshmen, but he never commented on the reasons behind it. However, he hadn’t expected to see Zhang Shaowei returning in such a miserable state.
"Gather a squad of soldiers for me—I have something to announce!"
"Yes, Platoon Leader Zhang!"
Shi Xiong immediately summoned twelve soldiers, who were still drenched in sweat from their training.
None of them understood why they were being gathered, but hearing that it was Platoon Leader Zhang calling for them, they quickly complied.
"I was just beaten up!"
Zhang Shaowei announced bluntly.
"What? You were beaten up?"
The soldiers, hot-blooded and impulsive, were stunned. Many assumed it must have been someone from another platoon who had attacked their leader.
"Platoon Leader, who was it? We’ll help you get payback!"
"Good—follow me now!"
Zhang Shaowei ordered, leading them away without hesitation.
