Chapter 774: Chapter 0775: Cultivating a Strong Woman [First Update]
When Ye Qiu drove back to the villa at Peach Blossom Source Residential Area, Ye Weidong and his wife, along with Ye Xue, had not yet returned. It seemed the three of them wouldn’t be back until around eleven at night.
After Ye Qiu and Liu Lingxiu entered the villa, he asked Liu Lingxiu to watch TV or read while he went upstairs to take a shower.
Once he finished showering, Ye Qiu turned on his computer and reviewed the personnel database of the Eiffel Chain Hotel. After reading everything, it was nearly eleven o’clock, and he prepared to turn off the lights to continue his cultivation.
During his cultivation in France some time ago, he had faintly felt on the verge of a breakthrough. Thus, he planned to continue cultivating, striving to absorb more Moonlight Essence and eventually transform quantity into quality for a higher-level breakthrough.
The next morning, when Ye Qiu opened his eyes, it was already 8:30 a.m. As he descended the stairs, Chen Fang and Ye Xue mentioned that they recalled a beautiful young woman had driven over in a red BMW to look for Ye Qiu. At the time, however, Ye Qiu was still in France, so they didn’t know if the woman was seeking medical help or had other reasons.
"Ye Qiu, some time ago, there was a young woman who came looking for you," Ye Xue said.
"Was her last name Xia?"
"It seems so."
"Then I know who it was."
Ye Qiu understood that the young woman they were referring to was Xia Lan, also known as Mrs. Li, Li Fei’s wife.
As Ye Qiu sat down for breakfast with Chen Fang, Ye Xue, and Liu Lingxiu, he noticed that Ye Weidong had already gone out to the Imperial Cuisine Restaurant.
Ye Qiu could only shake his head, wondering why his father worked so tirelessly. After all, his intention in opening the restaurant was only to let him enjoy himself without overexerting.
After breakfast, Ye Qiu knew he needed to personally resolve Xia Lan’s issue.
"Lingxiu, you go to the restaurant with my sister first. I need to handle Mrs. Li’s matter from yesterday," Ye Qiu instructed.
After returning home last night, Ye Qiu had already finished reviewing the personnel database of the Eiffel Chain Hotel. The profiles of managers and regular employees alike were now imprinted in his mind.
Ye Xue, Liu Lingxiu, and Chen Fang got into Ye Qiu’s car, and he drove them to the Imperial Cuisine Restaurant. Upon arriving at the restaurant entrance, Ye Qiu was surprised to see such a long line of people waiting to dine—despite it being only a little past 9 a.m.
After the three women got out of the car, Ye Qiu called Xia Lan and found out she was still at her residential area.
Since that was the case, Ye Qiu drove to the neighborhood where she lived.
At the foot of her apartment building, Ye Qiu opted not to go upstairs but asked her and Luo Fei to come down instead.
About ten minutes later, Xia Lan came downstairs carrying a handbag.
After receiving treatment from Ye Qiu the previous night, she had slept deeply upon returning to her room. She woke up that morning feeling refreshed, without the fatigue she once felt.
Though Xia Lan didn’t know how Ye Qiu had achieved this, she was well aware of his extraordinary and mysterious medical skills.
Ye Qiu drove her and Luo Fei to the underground parking lot of the Eiffel Chain Hotel’s headquarters, where he parked the car before heading upstairs to the CEO’s office with them.
When they arrived at the CEO’s office, Secretary Su was already at work.
The CEO’s desk was covered in numerous files that required Li Fei’s handwritten approval before the various departments could proceed.
However, since Li Fei was no longer around, it now fell to Xia Lan to handle the responsibilities.
"Secretary Su, notify all Level Four and above management personnel across the group for a meeting in the conference room this afternoon," Ye Qiu instructed.
When Li Fei had designed the group’s hierarchical structure, it didn’t resemble the typical pyramid-like management model. Instead, it mirrored domestic management systems: he alone held the roles of CEO and Chairman, followed directly by department heads, with no intermediate roles like General Managers.
The "Level Four management personnel" Ye Qiu referred to effectively encompassed the hotel group’s managerial staff—roughly 500 individuals. With over 10,000 employees across the hotels, each manager oversaw approximately 20 to 30 employees.
As Ye Qiu spoke, Secretary Su turned to Xia Lan for confirmation.
"Follow Mr. Ye’s instructions," Xia Lan replied.
Secretary Su began making calls to notify various departments, ensuring all managers, including those from nearby city hotels, would attend the 2 p.m. meeting.
Meanwhile, Ye Qiu asked Xia Lan to call the five shareholders who had been present yesterday and request their attendance in person.
Last night, Xia Lan had made up her mind not to sell the hotel nor transfer management rights to the three other stakeholders.
Together with Ye Qiu today, she wanted to see how he would resolve the internal turmoil caused by these five shareholders.
After Xia Lan called each of the five shareholders, she stepped out of the CEO office and headed to a smaller conference room.
Inside the conference room, Xia Lan took her seat while Luo Fei stood behind her. Ye Qiu sat beside her and said, "Sister-in-law, you still have the chance to decide now: either hand over the management rights or sell the hotel."
"I’ve already made up my mind—I won’t hand the hotel over to anyone else," Xia Lan replied.
"Alright. From now on, you have no retreat. You’ll have to push forward. My goal is to develop you into a formidable businesswoman who’ll become one of the world’s most renowned female entrepreneurs. Of course, the road ahead will be tough."
Initially, Ye Qiu thought of describing his intention as "training" Xia Lan into such a businesswoman, but he decided the phrasing was inappropriate. Given Ye Qiu’s accumulated Soul Consciousness from countless individuals, both domestically and internationally, he was confident he could nurture Xia Lan into a powerful figure in the business world.
Ye Qiu firmly believed in this. He preferred to remain in the background rather than step forward directly. As for how Xia Lan would manage such a large-scale group, he planned to guide her gradually. Once she reached a certain level of competence, Ye Qiu knew she wouldn’t need to rely on him anymore—she’d be capable all on her own.
When Xia Lan nodded, Ye Qiu proceeded to outline the tasks for the day, leaving the execution to her discretion.
Ye Qiu couldn’t handle every single step for her; he simply didn’t have enough time.
After their discussion, Xia Lan seemed slightly nervous for some reason. Yet when she thought of Ye Qiu, she felt reassured.
About half an hour later, Feng Zhiqiang, Gao Xiangyang, and Ding Jianwei arrived hurriedly, assuming Xia Lan had decided to hand over the hotel group’s management rights to them.
"Knock knock!"
When Feng Zhiqiang knocked on the conference room door, Luo Fei went to open it. As the three entered, they spotted the same casually dressed young man from yesterday sitting alongside Xia Lan.
