Chapter 735: Chapter 0736: The Secret Recipe of Viscount Red Wine [Third Release]

Ye Qiu stood in front of the study’s window, with Housekeeper Eugene standing behind him, both of them talked from midnight until after two in the morning.

Housekeeper Eugene got more and more excited as he listened, convinced that following his new master, Ye Qiu, would surely turn his fortunes around.

"Master Ye, I will definitely follow you and will never betray you,"

Housekeeper Eugene said.

If Ye Qiu was really that impressive, not following him would be foolish.

"It’s now mid-August. Next month, the grapes will be ready for harvest. In this month, you will build a handcraft brewing workshop for which I will allocate one million Euros for you to operate. Additionally, the perfume brand can be delayed a bit longer."

"Master Ye, I understand. As long as we get the secret recipe, all these are easy to handle,"

Housekeeper Eugene said.

What he couldn’t comprehend was where Ye Qiu had obtained the wine-brewing secret recipe that even produced red wine better than Lafite.

If that were really the case, then even selling just ten thousand bottles of red wine a year would definitely bring in a substantial income.

"Tomorrow, you first go to the patent office and register two brands: a perfume called ’Prince’ and a red wine called ’Viscount Red Wine.’

Now, Huaxia takes patent registration very seriously, not to mention France.

Only with a patent registration can protection be provided by patent law. Later, when Ye Qiu returns to Huaxia, he will also register these two brands’ patents in Huaxia to prevent counterfeit products.

Of course, now the European Union is unified. If we register the patent in France, then it will later be protected by patent laws in European countries.

"Master Ye, I will go to the patent office to register them tomorrow,"

"It’s very late; you should go back and rest first. I will prepare the two secret recipes to give to you before I return to my country,"

Housekeeper Eugene was extremely excited and bowed to Ye Qiu as he left the study.

Ye Qiu looked out of the window where it was still a stormy night, and he wondered whether the heavy rain would stop by tomorrow.

Ye Qiu took some paper and a fountain pen from the desk in the study. It was his first time writing in French, but gradually, he found it similar to writing in English.

Until past four in the morning, Ye Qiu had written the secret recipe for brewing red wine on one sheet of paper and the perfume-making secret recipe on another.

In reality, many red wine brewing and perfume-making techniques existed in Europe; the only difference lay in the proportions of the recipes.

Of course, many wine companies also have manual wine-brewing techniques, but different wines taste different, thus leading to different prices.

Ye Qiu stored the secret recipe carefully, left the study, and headed back to his own room.

When he reached his room and was just about to go to bed after taking off his shoes, he felt someone on his bed.

If it wasn’t for the unique scent of Zhou Wenting, Ye Qiu might have thought it was the middle-aged maid with the plump waist coming to help him rest.

"Wenting, what are you doing here?"

"Viscountess Louise wanted to sleep alone. Just now, there was constant thunder and heavy rain outside, which scared me from sleeping alone, so I came to find you. I didn’t expect you to be away,"

"I just had something important to discuss with Housekeeper Eugene in the study!"

Ye Qiu got under the covers and immediately embraced Zhou Wenting.

Although he couldn’t "devour" Zhou Wenting, having a fragrant, soft beauty to sleep beside was definitely not something Ye Qiu would refuse.

The next day, when Ye Qiu woke up, it was to the sound of knocking at the door.

Ye Qiu got up, changed out of his robe, dressed, and upon opening the door, saw a middle-aged maid.

"Young Master Ye, Viscountess Louise invites you and Miss Zhou to come down for breakfast," she said.

"Alright, I’ll be right down," he replied.

Zhou Wenting, still in her robe, was fast asleep. At around four in the morning the night before, when Ye Qiu had come back and held her, Wenting had felt very safe and soon fell asleep as well. But, she had only slept for about four or five hours by now and was extremely tired.

Seeing Wenting’s condition, Ye Qiu decided not to wake her and let her continue sleeping.

After Ye Qiu washed up and followed the middle-aged maid auntie downstairs to the dining room on the ground floor, he saw that the rain outside had lessened quite a bit but had still not stopped completely.

Now, all the servants were inside the castle. With the rain, none could leave to work outside, and for them, there wasn’t much to do anyway.

If it weren’t for Ye Qiu, the new master’s arrival, they might have been even more idle, possibly still sleeping in.

On this matter, Housekeeper Eugene didn’t interfere much since there really wasn’t much to do; besides, they each had their specific duties. Except for the original three servants who had more chores, the other workers just needed to finish their designated tasks.

When Ye Qiu arrived at the dining area, only Louise was there.

Besides her unusually pale complexion, Louise seemed rather spirited. She had not shared a room with Zhou Wenting the previous night but had slept in her own room.

This morning, Housekeeper Eugene had arisen very early as he reportedly had some important errands to run for Ye Qiu, which included directing the servants to prepare breakfast.

The breakfast laid out was rather simple, comprised of bread and pastries, some of which Louise had made herself.

Ye Qiu sat down and tied his napkin, with Louise placed opposite him as Zhou Wenting hadn’t come down. Now, they faced each other alone.

Ye Qiu and Louise did not speak, as if they were strangers.

Louise was waiting for Ye Qiu to apologize to her, but Ye Qiu, perceiving her aloofness, appeared even more withdrawn and frosty.

The more their standoff continued, the more Louise felt Ye Qiu might not have any feelings for her.

This realization made Louise know that once this was over and she returned to southern France, she might never see Ye Qiu again.

Ye Qiu cut into the fried eggs and ham with his knife and fork, took a bite, then drank a glass of milk, already feeling quite full.

As Ye Qiu set down his knife and fork, Louise had also nearly finished eating.

After Louise was done, two middle-aged maids came to clean up the dining room while Ye Qiu left and went upstairs.

With the rain still pouring outside, he definitely didn’t feel like going out.

Back in the study, he looked out the window at the raging tumultuous waves and the sea as it lashed against the shore.

It was only when Louise went to wake Wenting that she learned Wenting had spent the night in Ye Qiu’s room and was still in his bed. Louise simply couldn’t believe there was nothing between them.

However, Louise couldn’t help wondering, could her own appearance and figure truly be inferior to Zhou Wenting’s?

For some reason, a strong wave of sourness surged within Louise’s heart.
