Ye Qiu called Zhao Ruxue and found out she was at her office in the City Police Bureau.

Although Zhao Ruxue had been seconded from the Jiangbei Sub-Bureau to the City Police Bureau to investigate a mass poisoning case, there had been no progress. Except for the time when Ye Qiu helped her achieve a major success, for which she was now being commended, and she had been promoted to Battalion Commander of the Criminal Police.

When Ye Qiu drove to the parking lot inside the City Police Bureau and parked his car, he saw Zhao Ruxue in her police uniform coming out to meet him.

When they went into Zhao Ruxue’s office, he noticed it was different from the Jiangbei Sub-Bureau, as she did not have a private office here and other police officers were present.

"What’s up?"

Zhao Ruxue asked.

"I want to apply for a passport."

"What do you need a passport for?"

"I’m planning to go abroad to treat someone."

Zhao Ruxue knew it must be urgent, or else Ye Qiu wouldn’t have come to her.

"Three days, I should be able to get it done in three days."

Zhao Ruxue said.

After Ye Qiu handed over his ID card for copying, Zhao Ruxue took care of the rest.

"Which country are you going to and with whom?"

"I’m going to France to treat an Earl, with Miss Zhou Four."

Zhao Ruxue nodded and didn’t ask more questions.

With so many people around, it wasn’t convenient for Zhao Ruxue to say more.

Ye Qiu sat there until Zhao Ruxue’s morning shift ended. When they left the police bureau, Ye Qiu said, "Let me take you to lunch."

"It’s inconvenient in the police uniform, maybe next time!"

It would be inconvenient to go out to eat in her police uniform with Ye Qiu.

Ye Qiu understood and didn’t press further. He got into his car and drove back to Peach Blossom Source Villa. Upon arrival, he saw Liu Daqing and Liu Lingxiu there.

"Ye Qiu, did you get it done?"

Zhang Yuehong asked.

"Yes, but I have to go out tonight to treat someone. Uncle Liu, Auntie, you haven’t eaten yet, let me take you to eat."

Although the new property deed for the elevator room Ye Qiu bought for Liu Daqing and his wife hadn’t been processed yet, and they hadn’t moved in, Ye Qiu had helped design the decoration for the shop and planned to hire some workers to renovate it.

The supermarket shop wasn’t big, so hiring two or three workers for a month would be enough to complete the renovation. If Ye Fugui and his team were still here, he could have hired them directly.

But now that Ye Fugui and his team had finished renovating the Imperial Cuisine Restaurant, they went back home to work on other projects.

"Uncle Liu, for the shop renovation, let my dad take you to buy materials, then hire a few workers, and it will be finished in a month."

They could start on this now, but recently Ye Weidong had been overseeing work at the Imperial Cuisine Restaurant.

"I’ll talk to your dad tonight."

Ye Weidong and Ye Fugui were familiar with buying those materials, so it would be easy to handle the shop’s renovation materials.

Ye Qiu drove with Liu Daqing, Zhang Yuehong, and Liu Lingxiu to a nearby buffet restaurant.

It was the first time Liu Daqing and his wife had eaten at a buffet, and it wasn’t expensive. Ye Qiu bought meal tickets and told Liu Daqing and his wife to eat freely, but not too much.

The buffet meal ended after one, and both Liu Daqing and Zhang Yuehong were satisfied.

Upon returning to the Peach Blossom Source Villa Community, Liu Daqing and his wife went to rest, while Ye Qiu and Liu Lingxiu went upstairs.

As they entered the room, Ye Qiu said, "Liu Lingxiu, I’ll be flying to France in a few days to treat someone."

"France?"

Now that it was break time, Ye Qiu could theoretically take Liu Lingxiu with him to see the world. But this trip wasn’t for leisure; it was with Miss Zhou Four.

Ye Qiu had gone to Zhao Ruxue to apply for his passport.

"Can I go?"

Liu Lingxiu asked.

"You need a passport, and this trip is too urgent, so it might not be possible. Plus, I’m going with Miss Zhou Four."

Liu Lingxiu realized that going abroad required a passport and visa, and she knew Miss Zhou Four.

"I’ll go with you next time."

Liu Lingxiu wasn’t in a hurry. She knew that since meeting Ye Qiu, her life had changed completely. Thus, she didn’t have any complaints.

Around five in the afternoon, Ye Qiu went downstairs and drove to Xiao Mei’s apartment complex.

He parked near the security booth and called Xiao Mei, who was already waiting for him upstairs.

Ye Qiu took the elevator up and rang the doorbell. Xiao Mei came to the door barefoot to let him in.

"I just got back from work and grocery shopping. I’ll start cooking."

Just like the previous night, Xiao Mei began to prepare dinner. After they finished eating, she took a shower and came out in a loose nightgown, saying, "Doctor Ye, I’m ready."

"Just like last night."

"I’m ready."

Xiao Mei had already noticed that the birthmark on her back had partly disappeared. After putting on her bra, she looked in the mirror and saw that it had faded further.

At Ye Qiu’s current treatment pace, it wouldn’t be long before Xiao Mei could be rid of the unsightly birthmarks completely.
