Chapter 601: Chapter 602: Expected It to Come Tonight

Liu Lingxiu felt sorry for Ye Qiu, thinking that he had a mansion but chose to live in a place like this. Liu Lingxiu knew that the living room outside was very hot, probably over thirty degrees Celsius, and even the moving air was warm.

Liu Lingxiu quietly got up, intending to invite Ye Qiu inside to sleep so her parents wouldn’t know.

"Lingshow, you haven’t slept yet?"

"I can’t fall asleep."

Liu Lingxiu said.

Ye Qiu wasn’t unable to sleep, but he was waiting for that big fish to come.

He just didn’t expect that Liu Lingxiu hadn’t slept either.

When Ye Qiu followed Liu Lingxiu into the room, the air conditioner was on, and it indeed felt much more comfortable.

As Liu Lingxiu shyly lay on the side, covered with a thin air-conditioning blanket, having Ye Qiu beside her made her feel very reassured.

Ye Qiu lay on the side, watching Liu Lingxiu sleeping with her back to him.

Time ticked by, and outside the window, it was eerily silent.

Aside from a faint moonlight shining in, occasionally, the sound of insects could be heard outside.

Suddenly, Ye Qiu sensed a strange noise.

Could it be that the thing was here?

In the darkness, Ye Qiu saw the window, which had just been closed, suddenly opened. Instead of warm wind, a chilling gust blew in.

Ye Qiu knew that the thing must have arrived.

Sure enough, not long after, a dark figure jumped in through the window and headed straight for the bed where Ye Qiu and Liu Lingxiu were sleeping.

"You unholy thing, I’ve been waiting for you for a long time!"

Ye Qiu suddenly shouted.

Dreaming, Liu Lingxiu woke up to Ye Qiu’s voice, opening her eyes to see a dark figure in the room.

Zhang Wei hadn’t expected that he was coming just to kill Liu Lingxiu, the woman Ye Qiu liked.

He didn’t expect Ye Qiu to be here and foresee his arrival.

Zhang Wei’s face was now a blur, his once handsome features unrecognizable, most of his deathly aura had been dispelled by the two wizards through casting spells, but a remnant of it still lingered.

Ye Qiu had smelled it from meters away.

Now, he smelled it even more clearly.

Not knowing what it was, Liu Lingxiu, terrified, got up and hid behind Ye Qiu.

Ye Qiu stopped wasting words and told Liu Lingxiu to leave the room first, then he turned on the lights.

These living dead feared light, especially sunlight. Even room lights affected them, though not as much.

Seeing that Ye Qiu wasn’t afraid of him and seemed to be waiting for him, Zhang Wei felt some terror due to past lessons from Ye Qiu.

He wanted to flee!

But he also felt unwilling.

Having been exposed this time, it would be hard to seek revenge on Ye Qiu again. So if he saw Ye Qiu here, why not kill him and Liu Lingxiu’s family all at once?

"You are impressive, I’ve been waiting for you!"

Zhang Wei said.

The voice was not very clear, but it was understandable. Zhang Wei suddenly extended his claws. After his body’s transformation, his limbs had grown claws that he didn’t have before. His speed was faster and more agile than an ordinary person’s.

So, when he entered Li Shen and Zhu Zhiming’s room, they hadn’t detected his presence. It wasn’t that they weren’t there; it was just that he was too fast, especially in the dark.

Ye Qiu feared this thing might flee.

If the other party didn’t run, Ye Qiu had ways to deal with him.

Of course, Ye Qiu wanted to stall him for now, then trap him with that fishing net.

Ye Qiu took out his phone and called Cai Yong, saying, "Bring those things over."

Cai Yong had prepared a large drum of gasoline in the morning. He hadn’t expected that Ye Qiu would call for it now and hurried to drive the gasoline over to Liu Lingxiu’s house.

Zhang Wei extended his claws, wanting to tear Ye Qiu apart, blood vessels and all, just as he had done to Li Shen and Zhu Zhiming, possibly even spilling Ye Qiu’s entrails.

As Zhang Wei moved, so did Ye Qiu. The two of them moved quickly within the narrow space.

Liu Lingxiu, frightened, ran out of the room and into another one immediately.

Liu Daqing and Zhang Yuehong were sleeping when they suddenly heard a knock on the door. When they woke up, they thought someone was knocking at the door. To their surprise, it was Liu Lingxiu.

"Lingshow, what’s wrong?"

"Dad, mom, there’s a ghost."

"What ghost!"

Liu Daqing and Zhang Yuehong didn’t believe it.

However, when they got up, they found that Ye Qiu was not in the living room. They heard that Ye Qiu was fighting a ghost in her room.

Are there really ghosts in this world?

Liu Daqing and Zhang Yuehong still couldn’t believe it.

But as ordinary people, they were naturally afraid.

They came out of the room with Liu Lingxiu and saw Cai Yong and his men arriving.

Liu Lingxiu knew these people were with Ye Qiu and said, "Ye Qiu is inside."

Cai Yong didn’t know why Ye Qiu had asked him to bring the large gasoline drum, but after hearing that Brother Qiu was inside, Cai Yong and two younger brothers went in.

Just as they entered, seeing Brother Qiu fighting a sticky, dark thing scared them all.

"Get the big net ready!"

Ye Qiu shouted.

He had intended to handle it himself, but the ghost kept tangling with him, and he couldn’t break free.

Cai Yong didn’t know where the net was until Liu Lingxiu pointed out that there was a big bag in the room containing the large net.

Zhang Wei was now crazy, aiming to kill Ye Qiu so that Ye Qiu would join him in hell. Hence, even as Ye Qiu tangled with him, he didn’t let go.

While they fought, Ye Qiu felt the sticky, rotten feel of the living dead’s body.

Ordinary people would suffer if they made contact, as the deathly aura would permeate their bodies. But Ye Qiu wasn’t afraid; he could absorb even the deathly aura, let alone this.

As Cai Yong and the others opened the large bag and unfolded the net, they understood Ye Qiu’s intention to use the net to trap the dark ghost.

In the cramped living room, Cai Yong and his men took some effort to unfold the large net, puzzled about how to help Ye Qiu capture the ghost.

"Bring the net inside!"

Ye Qiu shouted.

As Cai Yong and his men brought the net inside, Zhang Wei finally sensed something was wrong. However, by then, Ye Qiu had already closed the windows and the door. Even if Zhang Wei wanted to escape through the window, it was too late.
