City’s Best Divine Doctor
Chapter 265 - 265 0266 Arriving Just in Time

265: Chapter 0266: Arriving Just in Time 265: Chapter 0266: Arriving Just in Time Cai Yong personally drove the car, speeding in the direction of Jinling Hospital as fast as possible.

Although Ye Qiu knew that his medical skills were miraculous and that he could save a patient as long as they had a breath left in them, he feared that Shen Xingru might leave this world before he could arrive at Jinling Hospital.

If Shen Xingru left this world, then when the time came, he wouldn’t be able to do anything about it.

As Ye Qiu looked out the window, Su Luoluo, sitting beside, asked, “Are you very worried about that patient?”

“I just treated her a few days ago.

I know her,”

Ye Qiu said.

He still had some impression of the lady, Shen Xingru.

However, he now thought of A Gou Liu, who had fallen from a building and had nearly died as well.

It now seemed that Shen Xingru’s condition might be even more serious than that of A Gou Liu.

Nevertheless, Ye Qiu knew that all he could do now was leave it to fate.

Su Luoluo had originally thought that Ye Qiu had become very cold-hearted and greedy, but to her surprise, he still showed another side.

However, she knew this was definitely different from the old Ye Qiu.

When Su Luoluo hugged Ye Qiu’s arm, he did not pull his hand away.

At Jinling Hospital, Shen Yueru, who called Ye Qiu herself, initially thought he was going to respond with cold indifference, but to her surprise, he said he would come immediately.

Shen Yueru didn’t have time to marvel at Ye Qiu’s change; right now, in the critical care unit, several attending physicians and female nurses were resuscitating Shen Xingru.

Just moments ago, a nurse noticed a sudden drastic change in Shen Xingru’s ECG and immediately called Han Zhongwei, who then summoned the other doctors to attempt to save Shen Xingru.

According to Zhou Peng, no matter how grave Shen Xingru’s condition was, they had to wait until Ye Qiu arrived.

He believed that as soon as Ye Qiu got there, there would be hope for saving Shen Xingru.

“Director Shen, don’t worry.

As long as Doctor Ye comes, she can be saved,”

Zhou Peng said.

“What I’m afraid of now is something happening to Xingru before Doctor Ye arrives.”

Shen Zhigang now regretted not informing Ye Qiu immediately when he first heard his eldest daughter was in trouble.

If he had, Ye Qiu could have arrived faster, and Shen Xingru might already be cured by now.

Regretting now was useless for Shen Zhigang; all he could do was silently pray that nothing would happen to his eldest daughter.

Given Shen Xingru’s current condition, he knew that regardless of whether she fully recovered or not, that scum Zhang Chong wouldn’t be allowed to live.

Initially, Shen Zhigang only wanted Zhang Chong to get lost, but after the latter did this, Shen Zhigang, a business magnate, had no sympathy left for him.

Shen Zhigang waited anxiously, on one hand for any news from the critical care unit regarding Shen Xingru, and on the other for news of Ye Qiu’s arrival.

Ye Qiu sat in the car as Cai Yong drove through the city at breakneck speeds.

Even though they weren’t caught by the traffic police, the license plate was surely captured by a camera, and they would definitely face a fine later.

What normally would have been a one or two-hour drive to the entrance of Jinling Hospital, Cai Yong managed to reduce to roughly thirty minutes; soon, Ye Qiu saw the main building of Jinling Hospital and the words “Jinling University Affiliated Hospital.”

When Cai Yong finally came to a sharp halt and smoothly parked outside Jinling Hospital’s parking lot, Ye Qiu and a somewhat carsick Su Luoluo got out of the car, Luoluo went straight to a trash bin in the lobby on the first floor and threw up.

The last time Cai Yong’s underling drove like a maniac and suddenly braked hard, Li Shen and Zhu Zhiming ended up throwing up too.

Back then, Ye Qiu was saving A Gou Liu, but this time he was here to save Shen Xingru.

Ye Qiu approached Su Luoluo and placed his hand on her neck.

Within moments, Su Luoluo regained her spirits, feeling not the slightest hint of motion sickness or nausea.

This kind of miracle, perhaps only Ye Qiu could achieve it?

After asking the reception about Shen Xingru’s ward, Ye Qiu hurried up the stairs with Su Luoluo trailing behind.

Naturally, she couldn’t keep up with Ye Qiu.

Reaching the critical care floor where Shen Xingru was, Ye Qiu emerged from the stairwell and immediately spotted Zhou Peng, Shen Zhigang, and Shen Yueru.

Upon seeing Ye Qiu, Shen Yueru quickly approached and said, “My sister is still inside the critical care unit.

The doctors are resuscitating her.”

“Ask the doctors to open the door,”

said Ye Qiu, not wanting to kick the door down.

He then looked toward Zhou Peng to convey the message.

Zhou Peng went forward to knock on the door.

After a while, a female nurse came to open it.

She was about to say something but fell silent upon seeing that it was Deputy Director Zhou.

Ye Qiu entered the critical care ward and saw four attending physicians and three female nurses inside, one of whom was, under a doctor’s guidance, administering a shot of epinephrine to Shen Xingru.

It had already been done once before.

They were now giving a second shot of epinephrine.

When Han Zhongwei and the others saw Zhou Peng and Ye Qiu enter, Ye Qiu said, “Stop administering it; you all can leave for now.”

The attending physicians recognized and knew Ye Qiu and, seeing Zhou Peng, complied with his request to step outside.

Soon, the ward was left with only Ye Qiu, Zhou Peng, Shen Zhigang, Shen Yueru, and Shen Xingru on the hospital bed.

“You all should leave as well,”

Ye Qiu said.

Shen Zhigang, Shen Yueru, and Zhou Peng walked out of the ward, and as they closed the door behind them, Ye Qiu observed Shen Xingru on the bed, pale as death, and her ECG reading growing weaker.

Ye Qiu first took Shen Xingru’s pulse, then unbuttoned her patient gown and unwrapped the medical dressing to find five distinct knife wounds on her chest and another on her belly near the navel.

Given the severity of the knife wounds, it was nearly a miracle she had lasted this long, for any one of them could have been lethal if not for Shen Xingru’s larger-than-average life force.

Ye Qiu removed all of Shen Xingru’s patient gown and the bandages, revealing her injuries directly in front of him.

He then placed his hands over her chest.

In less than five minutes, the wounds slowly faded away, leaving not even the slightest scar, looking no different from before she was injured.

Earlier, Ye Qiu had already healed Shen Xingru’s internal organs and intestines first, with the external wounds being treated last.

Up to this point, Ye Qiu had infused a bit of True Qi into Shen Xingru’s body, and her condition was entirely different from just moments ago.

Her pallid face, previously drained of color, now had a touch of rosiness.

As Ye Qiu placed his hand on her forehead, Shen Xingru opened her eyes.

She only remembered going to the civil affairs bureau with Zhang Chong that afternoon to get a divorce.

Then, as she stepped out, Zhang Chong, as if mad, pulled out a fruit knife and stabbed her.

After a scream of agony, she had fainted and was unaware of what happened next.

Now, as she opened her eyes, she found herself without a shirt on and once again saw the young man who had treated her earlier standing before her.

Shen Xingru felt no fear; looking around the hospital room, she knew she must be inside one, and it seemed that this young man had cured her.
