Chapter 919: Chapter 919: Shocked Again

It was clear that Dr. Frank valued Ye Qiu as a person and his medical skills highly.

"Hello, Dr. Frank."

After greeting Dr. Frank, Ye Qiu headed toward Henry’s hospital room.

The hospitals and patient rooms in France—this was Ye Qiu’s first visit, but he discovered they weren’t much different from those in his home country.

One might even say that major hospital rooms back home were modeled after those abroad.

The only difference was the better welfare system overseas. Healthcare costs were reimbursed through government and personal insurance, so people didn’t have to worry about going bankrupt after one major illness.

When Ye Qiu arrived at the door of Henry’s room and knocked before entering, only Henry and a female nurse were inside.

Henry was lying on the bed, looking extremely haggard. When he saw Ye Qiu enter, a hint of emotion finally flickered across his face.

"Dr. Ye, hurry and treat me,"

Henry said.

"Let’s start by transferring the money to my account. Someone like you has no credibility—I’m afraid that if I cure you, you’ll renege on our agreement."

Ye Qiu replied bluntly.

Henry was visibly awkward after hearing this.

Ye Qiu handed Henry the details of his French bank account, and Henry, having no other choice, made a call to his bank and completed the transaction through mobile banking.

The amount involved was fifty million euros—not five thousand—so Henry was extremely cautious.

Ye Qiu wasn’t in any rush; he simply waited patiently.

About fifteen minutes later, Ye Qiu was notified by his bank that the money had been deposited. Henry then began urging Ye Qiu to start the treatment.

Meanwhile, Dr. Frank was curious to observe how Ye Qiu would treat Henry.

"Let’s start with the anesthesiologist administering the anesthesia—then I’ll proceed with the treatment."

Ye Qiu said.

"Didn’t you treat that old man without anesthesia?"

"He was already in a sleep state, but you’re different."

Ye Qiu had no intention of letting anyone see how he treated his patients.

In such circumstances, Henry had no choice.

The nurse left to call the anesthesiologist, who administered the proper dosage of anesthesia to Henry. It would be at least six to seven hours before he woke up.

After the anesthesiologist administered the anesthesia, it didn’t take long for Henry to enter a state of sedation and unconsciousness.

"Louise, Dr. Frank, please step out. I’ll treat him alone."

Louise and Dr. Frank had no choice but to leave.

Soon, only Ye Qiu and Henry, lying on the hospital bed, remained in the room.

No one—not Zhou Wenting, Louise, Helena, Dr. Frank, the attending doctors, the female nurse, nor the anesthesiologist—knew how Ye Qiu treated Henry.

However, it was confirmed in past cases that Ye Qiu could completely eradicate cancer cells from patients’ bodies. Was that still possible now?

"Wenting, was your father cured by Ye Qiu in the same way before?"

Louise asked.

"He was,"

she replied.

...

Looking at Henry lying on the bed, Ye Qiu wore an expression of disdain for this arrogant Frenchman who acted so high and mighty. Initially, Ye Qiu had only intended to make some money to buy a car—little did he expect the man to fork over enough for a luxurious estate.

Of course, Ye Qiu had numerous ways to make money now; he didn’t need to rely on this method.

It was only because Henry had provoked him that he acted this way.

Ye Qiu didn’t do much—he simply stayed in the room for about half an hour, during which Henry’s cancer cells gradually disappeared, until eventually, they were all gone, completely absorbed by Ye Qiu.

Half an hour later, Ye Qiu opened the door and stepped outside.

"Henry’s cancer cells are completely gone. Once he wakes up, he’ll be perfectly fine,"

Ye Qiu said matter-of-factly.

But the others, upon hearing this, were once again utterly stunned!

Especially Dr. Frank, Henry’s attending physician, and the female nurse—they all looked completely astonished!

No one knew how Ye Qiu had treated Henry in that room, but his results gave them a strong feeling of witnessing God’s work!

"Let’s head out,"

Ye Qiu said.

Having received his payment, there was no need for him to stay any longer.

As for Henry, still unconscious, the hospital doctors would surely perform a full-body examination to determine if any cancer cells remained in his body.

Outside the hospital, as Ye Qiu got in the car, Louise and Zhou Wenting reflected on how effortlessly Ye Qiu seemed to cure people. Yet, they still didn’t know the method behind it.

"Let’s grab lunch in Chinatown and find a few workers for Eastern Castle before heading back."

Ye Qiu drove toward Chinatown in Paris. Parking the car near a lot, the four individuals stepped out.

During the daytime, there were quite a few tourists around, though not as crowded as it would be at night.

As Ye Qiu and the three women walked inside, Dante and Enzo followed closely behind.

...

"Boss, wasn’t that woman shot dead?"

"That’s what I heard."

"How’s that possible? She’s alive—I just saw her with her two bodyguards."

These men were trailing them from behind, having indeed spotted Helena and Enzo, proving that she hadn’t been killed during the raid before dawn.

Ye Qiu was unaware of the people tailing them. He entered a hotpot restaurant with the three women, booking a private room, where they sat down and invited Dante and Enzo to join them.

When Dante and Enzo returned with Helena to Paris, they were still concerned about the safety of their young lady. After all, this was a major stronghold of the Mafia’s internal rival factions. That night during the attack, they were lucky to have been saved by Dr. Ye, but it didn’t mean they were completely out of danger.

Still, the young lady insisted on coming to Paris, leaving them no choice.

When the waitress brought the menu and asked Ye Qiu to order, he chose a clear soup base along with over ten side dishes.

He noticed that the hotpot here was quite authentic compared to those in his home country. It appeared clean and reasonably priced.

"Sir, are these all?"

"Yes, that’s all."

The waitress left with the menu and promptly returned with six sets of tableware and the beverages they had ordered.

The clear soup base was brought in once it was properly prepared.

From around twelve in the afternoon, they ate until after two o’clock.

After Zhou Wenting settled the bill, Ye Qiu, Louise, and the others exited the hotpot restaurant and headed toward a Chinatown talent recruitment agency. Ye Qiu planned to hire several suitable Chinese or Chinese expatriates to work at Eastern Castle.

When Ye Qiu and Louise entered the recruitment agency, a young woman approached them and asked, "Are you looking for work?"
