Chapter 911: Chapter 0911: Ask Henry for Money

Louise turned off her phone directly to ensure she wouldn’t be disturbed during her meal. Moreover, this high-end French restaurant was very quiet, so it was important not to disrupt other diners.

A tall waitress brought over a bottle of 1982 Lafite and four wine glasses. When the cork was removed with the opener, the rich aroma of the red wine wafted out, reminding Ye Qiu of the scent he had encountered before at Elysée High-End Club that night.

The waitress poured half a glass of wine into each of the four glasses, then began serving the dishes.

From the appetizer platter to the dessert served as the final course, by the time Ye Qiu and the three women finished eating, it was already past two o’clock in the afternoon.

Ye Qiu found the French cuisine to be enjoyable for an occasional treat, but if eaten frequently, it certainly wasn’t as flavorful as Huaxia food.

The meal, along with the bottle of wine, cost more than fifty thousand Euros.

Ye Qiu naturally couldn’t let Zhou Wenting pay the bill again. He asked her to give the waitress a tip while he went to settle the bill with his bank card.

After paying and getting into the car, Ye Qiu showed no sign of being affected, but the three women, who had a bit of wine, had slight flushes on their faces.

Although drunk-driving checks were strict abroad, they were not as frequent as back in Huaxia. With just one circulation of the "Primordial Five Emperors Technique," Ye Qiu completely eliminated the scent and effect of the alcohol from his body.

Ye Qiu drove toward the Louvre Grand Hotel.

He planned to find Henry tonight to collect the money and return to the Eastern Castle by car the next morning.

After arriving at the underground parking garage of the Louvre Grand Hotel, Ye Qiu and the three women stepped out of the car, took the elevator upstairs, and returned to his room using his room card.

Once inside, Ye Qiu sat down on the sofa and turned on the TV, only to discover that the broadcast was about the scandals surrounding the Paris fashion show.

He wondered how many people would be implicated in all this.

If this had happened in Huaxia, it likely would’ve been brushed aside quickly, with no one bothering to investigate further.

...

Ye Qiu took a nap in his room and woke up just after five in the evening.

After freshening up, he called the front desk to request a cup of tea.

Ye Qiu sat on the rattan chair on the balcony, gazing at the view of the Louvre and the Arc de Triomphe in the distance. After a while, he concluded that there wasn’t much to see and decided to wait for Louise and Zhou Wenting to wake up instead.

At around six in the evening, Louise called Ye Qiu and asked, "Qiu, are you heading back to the Eastern Castle?"

"I’m going back tomorrow morning. Tonight, I still need to find Henry to get the money," Ye Qiu replied.

If Ye Qiu hadn’t mentioned it, Louise would’ve almost forgotten.

However, she found it odd—sometimes Ye Qiu seemed very greedy for money, but other times he appeared extremely generous.

"So should we go now?"

"Let’s have dinner first, then head over to see him."

Once Zhou Wenting and Louise were ready, Ye Qiu planned to leave with the two women, but to his surprise, Helena, who had just woken up, quickly followed them as they were heading out.

It seemed as though she was firmly attached to Ye Qiu now.

"We’ll head to Chinatown first, then find Henry afterward!"

As for Henry’s current whereabouts, Ye Qiu didn’t know, but Louise likely did—after all, Henry had pursued Louise before.

Ye Qiu drove to Chinatown in Paris, where the lively evening scene greeted them warmly. He and the three women entered a Chinese restaurant and ordered some stir-fried dishes for dinner.

"If I keep eating like this, I wonder if I’ll gain weight," Helena remarked to Ye Qiu.

She spoke in Italian, which left Louise and Zhou Wenting thinking that the two were whispering secrets they couldn’t quite make out.

When the next round of food was delivered by the waiter, Ye Qiu and the three women finished dinner by around eight o’clock Paris time.

After stepping out of Chinatown and getting into the car, Ye Qiu asked Louise, "Louise, do you know where Henry lives?"

"I don’t know. I’ll have to ask someone," Louise replied.

She called Dr. Fran.

Dr. Fran, who was eager to meet Ye Qiu and learn more about his medical skills, hadn’t expected Ye Qiu’s avoidance.

"Dr. Fran, do you know where Henry is right now?" Louise asked.

"Not entirely sure. If he’s not at home, he’s likely in the lab. Let me check for you," Dr. Fran answered.

Dr. Fran then called Henry, who confirmed he was still in the lab working on his medical research.

However, Henry didn’t know that Ye Qiu wanted to see him, nor did he suspect Ye Qiu planned to demand the money—which he wasn’t likely to part with easily.

"Miss Louise, Dr. Henry is at the medical college laboratory," Dr. Fran informed her.

"Thank you, Dr. Fran," Louise replied.

Dr. Fran was about to inquire about Ye Qiu, but Louise hung up before he had the chance.

"Henry is conducting experiments at the Paris Medical College laboratory. Let’s head over there now," Louise said.

Following Louise’s directions, Ye Qiu drove to the medical college. After parking in the designated lot, Ye Qiu and the three women exited the car and walked toward the lab.

In front of the imposing laboratory building, security was tight, and outside access wasn’t easy. Guards were stationed at the entrance.

Louise stepped forward and addressed a security guard, "Hello, I’m Louise. I’m here to see Dr. Henry. Could you please inform him for me?"

"Of course, Miss Louise. I’ll notify Dr. Henry immediately," the guard responded, recognizing Louise’s polished appearance as an indicator of her status.

Inside the lab, Henry was pacing back and forth, occasionally checking one of the research devices.

He was still perplexed—the cancer cells in the elderly man’s body had completely vanished. After returning to the lab with samples of the man’s blood and dead skin tissue, Henry couldn’t figure out how the previously widespread cancer cells had completely disappeared.

As the lead investigator of the lab, Henry oversaw numerous young researchers, including medical school master’s students and doctoral candidates.

A female researcher approached Henry, her white lab coat rustling slightly as she moved. "Doctor, there’s a Miss Louise waiting outside to see you," she informed him.

Louise?

Henry immediately recognized the name.

But why would she be here seeking him?

Henry changed out of his sterile lab coat and walked outside. Upon emerging, he was surprised to find not only Louise but also Ye Qiu, Zhou Wenting, and an unfamiliar beautiful woman.

At the sight of Ye Qiu, Henry instantly understood the likely reason for this ordinary, unremarkably dressed young man’s visit.
