Chapter 908: Exposing the Fake
Chapter 908: Chapter 908: Exposing the Fake
Ye Qiu was a bit stunned—wasn’t this gorgeous Italian girl being way too forward?
When Ye Qiu glanced at Helena, he noticed she had already pulled out her room card, opened the door, and carried the recently purchased clothes inside.
Meanwhile, in the neighboring room, the room card in Zhou Wenting’s hand nearly slipped to the ground. All she could think was, this Ye Qiu is way too popular with beautiful women!
In fact, Huaxia men usually weren’t that favored by white women abroad; it was rare to see them have white girlfriends or wives.
But here was Ye Qiu. He had barely set foot in France and had already caught the attention of Louise, and now Helena.
Ye Qiu went into his room, noticed it was already past eleven at night, took a quick shower, and then sat by the room’s window. Letting the Moonlight Essence spill in, Ye Qiu began cultivating the "Primordial Five Emperors Technique."
A steady stream of Moonlight Essence flowed into Ye Qiu’s meridians, converting into Spiritual Energy. The energy moved through his body, finally gathering in his upper Dantian, where it was stored.
The next morning, when Ye Qiu opened his eyes, it was already a little past eight.
He soon heard knocking at the door. At first, he wondered who it could be. When he opened it, he was greeted by Helena, already dressed and ready.
"Miss Helena, why are you up so early?"
"There’s a Paris fashion show at Tuileries Garden soon. Will you come with me to check it out?" Helena asked hopefully.
Ye Qiu recalled that he had just attended Fashion Week at the Louvre’s Carrousel Hall two days ago.
The fashion performances there had been impressive—except for that fake designer who made his stomach churn.
Ye Qiu had planned to team up with Louise to confront that phony designer, but now Helena wanted to attend another fashion show.
Meanwhile, at the vineyard near the Eastern Castle, the grape harvest was nearly complete, and Ye Qiu needed to return there soon.
"Let me check with Louise and Zhou Wenting first."
Helena had hoped to spend some one-on-one time with Ye Qiu at the show, but to her disappointment, he invited the other two women along. Ye Qiu really didn’t understand a woman’s heart.
"Alright then," Helena said, sounding a bit disappointed.
Ye Qiu stepped back inside and picked up his phone to call Zhou Wenting.
"Ye Qiu, what’s going on? Inviting me for tea again?"
"Helena wants to go to the fashion show. Are you and Louise interested in joining us?"
Helena again? It’s always Helena.
Zhou Wenting was at her wit’s end. She could hardly tolerate Louise’s presence, and now there was yet another gorgeous Italian woman in the mix. But what could she do? She wasn’t Ye Qiu’s girlfriend.
"Let me check with Louise."
After ending the call with Ye Qiu, Zhou Wenting said to Helena, "Miss Helena, please wait a bit; they should be awake soon. I’ll freshen up first."
Ye Qiu went to wash up and put on his casual clothes.
About fifteen minutes later, Louise and Zhou Wenting emerged, both fully dressed and carrying their handbags.
Helena, now wearing one of the new dresses she had bought last night, looked even more stunning than before.
It had to be said—the fashion styles of Paris and Milan truly differed. At first glance, Helena now seemed like a quintessential Parisian beauty, rather than someone from Italy.
After locking the doors and taking the elevator down, they climbed into Ye Qiu’s Bentley Bentayga and drove off toward Tuileries Garden.
Tuileries Garden, located between the Louvre and Place de la Concorde, bordered the Seine River. Its serene beauty made it one of the most leisurely spots in Paris.
Like the Carrousel Hall at the Louvre, Tuileries Garden was also one of the official venues for Paris Fashion Week.
By the time Ye Qiu parked the car and they arrived, the area was already packed with people.
While Louise was preparing to make some calls to secure either tickets or an invitation, unexpectedly, someone had already handed Helena hers.
It seemed Helena’s identity wasn’t as simple as it appeared.
Yet, Helena hadn’t revealed much about herself, and Louise wasn’t entirely clear about her background—it made sense, as France and Italy were two different worlds.
Helena, now armed with tickets, entered the venue alongside Ye Qiu, Louise, Zhou Wenting, as well as Dante and Enzo. After passing through security checks, they made their way inside. The outdoor fashion show had not yet started.
But it appeared it was about to begin.
The venue had been meticulously arranged. Spectators, tourists, famous designers, and fashion brand owners from all over the globe had taken their seats in the audience area.
Although it was outdoors, the overhead covering provided shade. Coupled with the mild Parisian temperature and a gentle sun, the environment felt perfectly cozy.
After finding their seats, Ye Qiu, Louise, Zhou Wenting, and Helena sat down. Helena was visibly excited because today’s show featured a summer dress designed by that designer Charles—they had seen his work in a promotional ad last night at the shopping plaza.
Charles had already held a fashion show at the Louvre’s venue before. Due to its success, he’d been given the opportunity to showcase his designs again here at Tuileries Garden.
When Ye Qiu saw that Charles’ designs were part of this fashion show, his expression remained calm. However, both Louise and Zhou Wenting were visibly infuriated.
They both thought Charles was shameless. Not only had he stolen Ye Qiu’s designs, but now he was parading them again in public.
Clearly, it was time to expose his true identity.
Initially, Louise had considered keeping Paris Fashion Week’s reputation intact, avoiding a scandal that might tarnish the Parisian fashion world.
But she realized that if nothing was done, it would be unfair to Ye Qiu. Besides, it might encourage even more counterfeiters and plagiarists in the future.
"Qiu, this time, I have to expose him," Louise said.
"Didn’t you say you wanted to settle this privately?" Ye Qiu asked, puzzled.
"Charles is too despicable. He’s an embarrassment to us French. I absolutely won’t let him get away," Louise replied.
She spoke softly, and after finishing, she stepped aside and made several consecutive calls. One of them was related to the day last month when she’d lost her designs on the high-speed train. She contacted both the train company and the Paris City Police Bureau for help.
Louise had reported the incident at the time as her loss involved almost one million Euros worth of design work.
Although the Paris police had been investigating it, they hadn’t gotten results. But now, Louise’s call revealed they had discovered the person who had taken her designs—it would just require coordination between the police and the train company staff.
After finishing her calls and sitting back down, Louise was determined to see Charles humiliated and expelled from the Paris fashion scene.
Of course, Helena knew none of this. She was simply looking forward to the show, still mesmerized by the promotional images from last night.
