Chapter 882: Chapter 0882: Flying to Paris

Ye Qiu couldn’t be bothered with those matters and didn’t say much more to Song Ying before directly hanging up the phone.

After returning to the villa and packing two sets of casual clothes into his backpack, he headed over to Wang Yulian’s villa.

It was only a little past two in the afternoon, still early, as Zhou Wenting stuffed all her belongings into a rolling suitcase and placed it in the trunk of Ye Qiu’s car.

"Wenting, what time is your flight?"

"Mom, it’s at seven-thirty tonight."

Zhou Wenting replied.

"Then let’s have dinner at home before you head out."

Wang Yulian doted on her youngest daughter dearly. Although she was a bit worried now that Zhou Wenting was heading to France with Ye Qiu again, she didn’t try to stop them.

She instructed the housekeeper to prepare dinner early, aiming to have it ready by four or five, allowing the two to eat before leaving for the airport.

Wang Yulian spent most of the afternoon napping, with nothing much else occupying her time.

"Shouldn’t you notify Louise beforehand?"

Zhou Wenting asked.

"We’ll tell her when we get there."

Zhou Wenting still thought the relationship between Ye Qiu and Louise was strained. However, after her last encounter with them, she couldn’t quite figure out what was going on between the two.

So Zhou Wenting didn’t bother calling Louise in advance.

Ye Qiu sat in the living room, sipping tea and watching TV. By four in the afternoon, the housekeeper had already prepared dinner, but Ye Qiu and Zhou Wenting had eaten their fill around one, so they weren’t yet hungry.

Still, since dinner was ready—and even though airplane meals like boxed dinners might be available—it was certain that the food here would be much better.

After finishing dinner, it was almost six in the evening.

As Wang Yulian saw them off to their car, Ye Qiu said, "Auntie, we’ll be heading out now!"

"Wenting, call me once you’ve landed!"

"Mom, I know."

As Ye Qiu drove off, Zhou Yuxia and her husband Ma Yongsheng arrived. Zhou Yuxia wanted to discuss something company-related with Zhou Wenting, but to her surprise, Zhou Wenting was heading to France again with Ye Qiu.

"Mom, why are the two of them going to France now?"

"I’m not entirely sure. I heard it has something to do with visiting a manor."

Last time, Ye Qiu and Zhou Wenting went to France to treat someone, which Zhou Yuxia had overheard. However, she didn’t know the full details, nor did she see Ye Qiu when he returned.

Now Ye Qiu drove to Jinling International Airport and parked his car in the outdoor lot. He retrieved his backpack and Zhou Wenting’s rolling suitcase from the car, locked the car door, and headed toward the airport’s main entrance.

Once inside, it was already 6:40 PM, leaving less than an hour before they could check in and board the plane.

Zhou Wenting took both her and Ye Qiu’s passports to the counter to exchange tickets before heading to the VIP lounge to wait.

After placing their belongings aside, they settled into chairs in the lounge. At this point, Ye Weidong and his wife—as well as Ye Xue—likely didn’t know that Ye Qiu was about to board a plane.

"Mom, I’m boarding in forty minutes."

Ye Qiu said to Chen Fang over the phone.

"So soon? I thought you were leaving tomorrow."

If Chen Fang had known Ye Qiu was flying to France today, she would have skipped work at the Imperial Cuisine Restaurant.

After chatting with Chen Fang on the phone for about ten minutes, Ye Qiu ended the call. He sent a short text to some of the women he was close to, informing them of his trip to France and that he’d likely be back in a month.

Once the texts were sent, he turned off his phone.

Leaning closer to Zhou Wenting beside him, feeling as though she were his girlfriend, Zhou Wenting gave him a sharp glare.

At 7:15 PM, Ye Qiu and Zhou Wenting gathered their belongings, passed through security again, and boarded the plane. In first class, they found their seats and settled in.

Having flown once before, this was hardly a big deal to Ye Qiu.

Not to mention, Ye Qiu could fly a plane himself.

As they placed their belongings by their seats, two flight attendants approached to assist first-class passengers, helping them stow their bags and other items.

To Ye Qiu’s surprise, he once again encountered the flight attendant Wang Leshan.

"Hello, Dr. Ye. We meet again!"

The last time Ye Qiu flew to Paris, his act of helping old Mr. Cao expel thick phlegm had left a lasting impression on Wang Leshan.

Particularly now, Ye Qiu was still dressed in casual clothes, though he always exuded an air of aloofness.

"Hello."

Ye Qiu replied simply.

After Wang Leshan left, Zhou Wenting remarked, "I didn’t expect you to have such a connection with her!"

"Isn’t it the same for you?"

At 7:30 PM, the plane took off, and Ye Qiu began flipping through fashion magazines, occasionally sipping drinks or coffee, enjoying the experience.

Zhou Wenting, however, not long after sitting down, leaned back in her seat to rest with her eyes closed. Yet her hands remained tightly wrapped around Ye Qiu’s arm, as if seeking a sense of security.

Time passed quietly, and apart from waking twice—once to use the restroom and once to drink something—Zhou Wenting spent much of the flight sleeping.

After thirteen hours, the plane arrived safely at Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport. As the plane prepared to land, Ye Qiu woke Zhou Wenting.

It was still the middle of the night in Paris, around 2 AM local time. From the plane’s window, apart from the dazzling lights, the city lay shrouded in darkness.

Once the plane touched down safely, Ye Qiu and Zhou Wenting grabbed their backpack and rolling suitcase and disembarked with the other passengers.

Though Ye Qiu could’ve contacted Housekeeper Eugene to pick them up, he felt that traveling back and forth from the manor would be too inconvenient. Instead, he planned to take the high-speed train, and once they reached the small station, he would phone Eugene to come pick them up.

Ye Qiu and Zhou Wenting exited the airport. Having slept for over ten hours, Zhou Wenting felt quite refreshed, but the city outside remained cloaked in darkness.

"Should we head straight to the castle or go to the hotel to rest first?"

Zhou Wenting asked.

"Can we buy train tickets right now?"

It was the middle of the night—who would be working? Better to wait for daylight before heading out.

The two flagged down a taxi and rode to the Louvre Grand Hotel. Having stayed there once before, Ye Qiu held good memories of the place.

Upon arriving at the hotel entrance, Ye Qiu and Zhou Wenting stepped out of the taxi. After Zhou Wenting paid the fare in euros, the two walked inside.

Once inside, Ye Qiu and Zhou Wenting presented their passports at the front desk to check in.

Since the two had registered their information there previously and were connected to Louise, the staff at the front desk became exceptionally welcoming.
