"President Shen, has my proposal been approved yet?"

"What proposal?"

"I want to study in Europe for three years, with all expenses covered by the company, and my salary and benefits paid as usual!"

"Ha! You’re dreaming. Where in the world is there a company that good? Work if you want to, and if you don’t, get out. Whether you’re here or not makes no difference to me."

Shen Yueru snapped.

Agitated, he swept all the books off his desk and shouted angrily, "They offered me a high salary to lure me here and begged me to join, but now they’re turning their backs on me. Liu Xueying cursed and cried in the office, acting just like one of those overdramatic women. The other designers, including Liu Die, were shocked.

Liu Die couldn’t understand how things had escalated between Director Liu and President Shen.

When Liu Die walked in, she said, "Director Liu, you should apologize to President Shen. It’s not like other companies offer such good benefits."

She felt that Liu Xueying was being a bit too greedy. Even six months of training in Europe was already excellent benefits.

Now Liu Xueying was asking for three years. She wouldn’t agree to that either.

When Liu Die brought the resignation letter to HR to see Xiao Mei, Xiao Mei said, "You need to take this to President Shen in her office. I can’t handle Director Liu’s case."

Not knowing the full story, she simply handed the letter to Shen Yueru, who glanced at it, wrote "Approved!" on the document, and signed her name.

Then, Liu Die took the signed resignation letter back to HR for Xiao Mei, who started processing it according to the usual protocols.

Since Liu Xueying was leaving of his own accord, Xingyue Group wasn’t going to compensate him in any way. At most, he’d only receive his last month’s salary.

Soon, word spread throughout Xingyue Group that Liu Xueying had resigned and that both Shen Yueru and HR had approved it.
