Chapter 307: She died

Gabriel returned home after the class got over and was heading to his room when an authoritative voice stopped him.

"Gabriel" knowing who the person was, he halted on his steps and turned to look at his father.

The moment their eyes met, the air around them turned gloomy. Gabriel wasn’t very fond of his father because of the profession he carried but being his only son, he couldn’t ignore him.

Letting go of his displeasure, Gabriel walked towards Alphonse and took a seat next to him.

Alphonse had been trying to reach his son for some days. He wanted him to join the striker clan and take over the responsibility of the organization. But Gabriel was totally against it.

He never wanted to indulge himself in violence because of the price they had to pay in return and most of all, he never wanted to be like his father.

"How long do you wish to keep me waiting?" Alphonse’s voice broke the silence between the two as he watched Gabriel rub the back of his neck in hesitation.

"Dad, I still need some time to think" Gabriel stated which lead Alphonse to turn furious but he controlled himself.

"How much more time do you need Gabriel? Wasn’t a year enough" Alphonse could now sense that his son was purposely prolonging his decision. He should have known this son of his is good for nothing, but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t train him.

Moore’s were born as leaders with no ounce of mercy or sympathy in their hearts, so how can he let his son become the weaker one? If they had to keep their legacy heading on, Gabriel had to change himself.

Gabriel on the other hand could sense the anger in his father’s voice. He had been avoiding him for too long hoping he would change his mind and let him stay away from the underworld, but he forgot, his father never changes his mind that easily.

Thinking for some time, Gabriel bobbed his head agreeing to his decision." But I have one condition" he stated looking eye to eye with his father.

"Go on," Alphonse said.

"I want this to remain secret until I complete my studies. I don’t want your men lingering around me leading to any suspicion" Gabriel stated as he stared at Alphonse with a determined gaze.

Gabriel didn’t want to lose his friends, who thought he was just an ordinary person like them but little did he know apart from Sandra the other three came from an influential backgrounds.

Giving his words some thought, Alphonse agreed to his son’s only request. "Okay" getting a nod from his father Gabriel the walked to his room.

The second Gabriel was out of his sight, Alphonse pulled out his phone and looked at the picture in it. His eyes capture the face that stood along with his son and his eyes squinted with doubt.

"Tristan Knight" he mumbled looking at the boy who was non-other than Dante’s grandson.

"What is he doing with Gabriel?" he questioned looking at how friendly they both looked along with his other friends. As he kept staring at the picture, he doubted if Gabriel was aware of his background.

Quickly making a call to his informer, he asked him to run a check on Tristan Knight, and when he did, Alphonse found that Tristan and his friends had kept their identity hidden, and just like that, his doubt was confirmed.

"It would be interesting to see two friends stand against each other when the time of the battle appears" Alphonse’s eyes shined as he looked more into the picture in his hand.

After picking up Tori from school, Sandra reached home. Entering the small one-room kitchen flat, Sandra heaved out a sign looking at the mess her mother ended up creating in her absence.

Sandra’s mother, Silveira suffered from psychological trauma after their father left them with a word. Since then it had been very hard for her to control her mother’s distraught emotions. Not only does she look after her sister’s studies but also takes care of her mentally ill mother.

Watching her mother sleeping on the bed like a dead corpse with her eyes wide open Sandra sighed. It was her life and there was no way out of it.

With that thought, she started cleaning the place. Once she was done, she cooked food for them and then got ready to leave for her part-time job. She worked as an attendant in the grocery shop. Though it didn’t pay her much, she was somehow able to run the house.

"Tori, don’t wait for me for dinner, I will be late," she said before stepping out of the house and headed to her working place.

After fifteen minutes of walking, Sandra reached her workplace and got changed wearing her uniform. The moment she stepped out, her phone began to buzz with numerous messages starling her on the spot.

The entire chat group kept flooding with multiple messages.

Girl 1: " Do you remember Alexa, she was found dead in one of the restrooms"

Girl 2: "Yes the news is true, the faculty just received her body in one of the girl’s restrooms"

Girl 3:" I heard someone hit her head. She even had multiple bruises on her body"

Sandra’s eyes bulge out from her socket as she kept reading the texts and suddenly she felt her blood run dry.

’H-how did she die’ Sandra panicked as her hands began to shake and her body broke into a sweat.

Sandra was so caught up in her revenge that she didn’t realize when the girl ended up losing her life. While her mind was busy grasping the news her phone buzzed once again.

Girl 4:" Cops have started investigating the murder and will soon find the person behind Alexa’s death"

Sandra dropped the cell phone in her hand and began to panic. She racked her brain recalling if she had kept any clue behind but the news about the death had taken a toll on her mind that she couldn’t even think wisely.

"Damnit what should I do now" groaning his frustration Sandra ran her hand through her hair feeling helpless.
