Tristan stared at Noah. He could see the same fear engulfing his heart that he had been carrying all these days. Gnashing his teeth, Tristan fist his palm and averted his gaze from Noah.

He had already made up his mind and now he didn’t want his resolve to crumble because they were scared that their partners wouldn’t understand them.

Alice and Ashley had their eyes on their men looked at each other sharing a meaningful glance and quickly averted their gaze from them.

Soon dinner was served and they all started to eat. They kept chatting along, smiling, and making fun of each other.

They also came to find that this resort was the first property Tristan earned after he took over the Melanin.

Ashley was so immersed in listening to Tristan’s achievements that she couldn’t stop admiring him.

Once the dinner was done Tristan walked away with Noah to have some talk while Karl and Gwen decided to head to their room since Gwen was feeling sleepy, whereas Alice and Ashley decided to walk around the beach.

Sitting on the cold sand Alice and Ashley were staring at the unknown place, busy thinking about the matters that were disturbing them. It had been a few days since Alice had been trying to come up with a way to tell Ashley that her life is in danger and according to Noah, Tristan has been trying to find them.

But after that day, she didn’t get the chance to talk with her but now, when no one was around, she decided to speak.

"Someone is after your life"

Both the girls said in unison surprising each other with the same words.

"What!"

"What!"

Again they yelled in unison when Ashley shook her head and motioned Alice to stop.

"H-How did you know that?" Ashley asked, surprised when she heard Alice speak the same words she said.

Alice blinked her eyes as she tried to gather her thoughts. All this while, she thought Ashley wasn’t aware of the threat around her life. Then, thus it means Noah isn’t aware of Tristan already informing her about it.

Shaking her head, Alice tried to register her words. Taking a deep breath she tried to sort her thoughts and then asked," It means you already know someone is after your life. Did Tristan tell you everything?" she asked.

Ashley nodded her head staring at Alice in confusion. She didn’t know Alice too knew about Tristan’s enemies.

"Did Tristan tell you about it?" she asked.

"No. I learned it from Noah" Alice said.

Ashley creased when she heard her say Noah’s name. She recalled whether Tristan mentioned Noah’s name when he told her about his enemies. Then does it mean even Noah was helping Tristan to track them?

There were so many loopholes in this case. She had been so depressed thinking she didn’t share this threat thing with Alice but to her surprise, she was already aware of it.

"What did he tell you?" she asked getting suspicious about something deeper she wasn’t aware of.

Alice could see through her words and just like her even she was doubtful about all these mysterious enemies things.

Thinking for a while, Alice opened her mouth and told her everything that Noah spilled her.

"Lucan Scott, did I hear it right?" Ashley asked when she heard Alice mention him as Natasha Scott’s daughter, the suspect Noah tried to befriend that night in the club.

Alice nodded her head. After confronting Noah, she went on searching for details related to Natasha Scott, when she found her to be the daughter of the big industrialist name Lucan Scotts who also turned out to be the sponsor for Ashley’s first commercial ad.

Ashley fell into deep thought. She tried recalling the man’s face, and her eyes grew wide when she finally remembered where she had seen him. He was the same man who had called that Giel guy.

She had no clue, he was the same Lucan Scott, Alice talked about but then why would Tristan be suspicious about him? She thought racking her brain further and only one thing popped up in her mind and that was Lucan would be the person connected to the threat he was talking about.

Alice had been observing Ashley for a while now. The way her eyes changed their emotions showed her thoughts.

"Ash" she snapped her out of her trance, by resting her hand on her shoulder.

"Do you think Noah and Tristan are hiding something from us" Alice didn’t want to doubt them but something about their surroundings and Noah’s today’s behavior forced her to think a little deeper.

Ashley nodded her head confirming her doubts," And we need to make them spill" her eyes sharpened in determination as she looked at Alice.

Standing on the balcony, the mysterious man was observing Ashley through the binoculars. He was just following his boss’s instruction so when he would find her alone, he would execute his plan of killing her and leave without anyone getting suspicious.

In these few hours of observation, one thing he was sure about was it was very hard to get Ashley out of that group. All this while she had been accompanied by either Tristan or either her friends.

He was now doubtful whether he would ever find her alone.

Sighing, the man pulled away his eyes from Ashley and creased staring at the figure sitting on the beach. He had to find a way to separate from the group or else his boss will not spare his life.

With a determined look, he turned to step inside the room with the hope that he would be able to come up with a better and clean plan.

Somewhere in the lounge area, Noah was pacing back and forth, getting anxious about Tristan’s words. He wasn’t this nervous when he told his father that he didn’t want to become a doctor telling but just the thought of telling Alice about his identity as the hacker of the mafia organization Jaguar was making him go crazy.

"Noah, will you please stay still? My head is spinning watching you like this" Tristan said pinching the bridge of his nose.

He was trying his best to stop thinking the afterwards but this stupid friend of his wasn’t letting him remain calm.

Listening to Tristan’s words Noah halt his steps and stormed in his direction, standing right in front of him.

"You think after whatever you said. I will remain calm Tristan. Do you think it’s time for me to relax? Can’t you see I am about to have a mental breakdown" Noah couldn’t imagine his life if Alice decides to leave him?

But according to Tristan, they won’t do anything. Is it even possible for them to stay with them after they find who they actually are?

Tristan even told him that he had been giving Ashley hints about his life, slowly opening up to her but was still skeptical to fully expose himself.

"I don’t think Alice would stay with me. She secret Tristan and this is one confidential thing about our life that will make her lose her trust in me" Noah was freaking thinking about how he would be able to gain Alice’s trust again if she wouldn’t give him a chance.

Tristan’s stared at Noah blankly. His words were slowly engulfing him with his own fear. What if Ashley won’t accept his identity? Will she also leave him?

No..no she can’t. If she had to she wouldn’t have been patient with him all this while. She wouldn’t have been ready to listen to him when he was fully ready.

No! he can’t let his negative thoughts corrupt his mind.

"Trust your love, Noah. If it’s true then Alice will accept you for who you are without judging your identity" Tristan’s words came out like an arrow striking straight into his heart.

Passing him a meaningful look Tristan walked away leaving Noah. There was nothing more he could do to make him understand what kind of consequences they could face if they keep hiding such huge things from their partners.

Noah looked at Tristan’s retreating back until it vanished. His heart was a mess and so was his mind. He couldn’t think rationally, because his fears were stopping him to stay strong.

He was not someone who ever thought that he was capable of doing love, but when he met Alice his entire world turned upside down, and in no time she became the most important person in his life. Surviving without her was the hardest thing he could imagine.

But, he also couldn’t keep her in dark, because if she happens to find out about his identity from the outside, her faith in him will deteriorate.

Looking at the place from where he saw Tristan walk away, he sighed. His friend was right. If his love was true then he should have faith in it that nothing will be wrong between him and Alice.

With this hope, he composed himself and followed Tristan.
