Chapter 89: Chapter 089: Just Three Days of Vitality Left!
"Just a lowly Chores disciple, and I’ll beat or kick him as I wish!"
Wu Pingzhi sneered, "In this world, it’s survival of the fittest, strength is revered, and you, trash, what right do you have to complain here?"
Speaking, Wu Pingzhi’s figure flashed as he stepped forward, his True Qi surged violently, and he fiercely punched towards Ling Feng.
Ling Feng’s eyebrows twisted, Wu Pingzhi’s face was simply nauseating.
"You’re right, survival of the fittest, strength is revered!" Ling Feng’s icy gaze locked onto Wu Pingzhi, a glint of killing intent flashed in his eyes, "And you are the weak one!"
Heavenly Dao Divine Pattern converged, Wu Pingzhi’s movement technique and Fist Technique were thoroughly understood by Ling Feng!
With a step forward, Ling Feng spurred the Nine-layered Sea Suppressing Fist, aiming to strike at Wu Pingzhi’s weak point.
At that moment, an angry rebuke suddenly came from behind, as a square-faced, stout man in black attire appeared between the two, with a furious expression.
"Hmph! Who allowed you to fight in the Spiritual Medicine Garden?"
The square-faced man’s face was gloomy, releasing an incredibly intimidating aura, immediately pushing Ling Feng and Wu Pingzhi several steps back.
The tossed aside Chores disciple quickly struggled to kneel on the ground, respectfully saying, "Greetings, Master Yuan!"
"Master Yuan?" Wu Pingzhi’s eyelids twitched, although he was a newly assigned disciple to the Medicine Garden, it was impossible for him to not have heard of Master Yuan’s reputation.
This Master Yuan’s name was Yuan Qianshen, a Third Grade Alchemist in the Spiritual Medicine Garden.
A Third Grade Alchemist wasn’t that impressive, but Yuan Qianshen’s alchemy accomplishment compared to his Martial Arts accomplishment was far inferior.
Generally, Alchemists are focused on Alchemy and might be weaker in Martial Arts, but this man was the complete opposite and had an explosive nature, a true "harsh person."
Hence, the disciples governed by the Spiritual Medicine Garden feared Yuan Qianshen much more than they did the chief Elder of the Spiritual Medicine Garden.
Wu Pingzhi’s expression changed, and he hurriedly stepped forward to greet, "Disciple Wu Pingzhi, greetings to Master Yuan!"
"Hmph, don’t give me that crap!" Yuan Qianshen glared at Wu Pingzhi, "Was it you who hurt my Chores disciple?"
"Wha... what?" Wu Pingzhi trembled, "Your... Your Chores disciple?"
"Hmph, get out of here!" Yuan Qianshen’s eyes were cold as ice, "If I see you in the Spiritual Medicine Garden tomorrow, be prepared to become disabled!"
"Master Yuan, it’s a misunderstanding, this is a misunderstanding!" Wu Pingzhi immediately knelt before Yuan Qianshen, who clearly intended to drive him out of the Spiritual Medicine Garden.
According to the rules of the Cangqiong Sect, disciples assigned to various departments who get expelled are effectively expelled from the Cangqiong Sect.
Despite some influence in his family, Wu Pingzhi had invested a lot to secure the position of a Medicine Garden Disciple. If he were expelled now, all his efforts would be in vain.
"A misunderstanding?" Yuan Qianshen’s gaze shifted to the frail girl and he asked sternly, "Little girl, is this a misunderstanding?"
Chen Sisi hung her head low, did not speak, but still shook her head, indicating it was not a misunderstanding.
"You see?" Yuan Qianshen’s eyes hardened, and he glared at Wu Pingzhi again, "You can leave now, I’m giving you three breaths!"
"Let me leave?" Wu Pingzhi clenched his fists, knowing there was no turning back, yet he gathered his courage, stood up abruptly, and started cursing at Yuan Qianshen, pointing at his nose, "Do you freaking know who I am?"
"Crack!"
With a crisp sound of a bone breaking, Yuan Qianshen, without a second thought, directly snapped one of Wu Pingzhi’s arms, "I don’t care who you are!"
"Serves him right!" Ling Feng thought grimly, pleased to see justice come to those who deserve it.
However, he wasn’t ready to let Wu Pingzhi off so easily. Gathering his focus, he communicated with Zi Feng, "Zi Feng, can you precisely control how much vitality you devour, to decide how long someone has left to live?"
"What do you mean?" Zi Feng’s naive voice echoed in his mind.
"I want this guy to have only three days left to live!"
Ling Feng’s gaze turned icy. Within three days, he planned to make Wu Pingzhi rapidly age and then watch his vitality dwindle away bit by bit!
"That’s easy," Zi Feng immediately chuckled. "Master, does that mean I can eat now?"
"Yes, you can eat now," Ling Feng nodded. "Go and leave him only three days of vitality."
"Great, I can finally eat!" Zi Feng cheered and flew towards Wu Pingzhi, flapping his wings.
In the Spiritual Medicine Garden, there were plenty of insects, and as Zi Feng flew close to the ground among the spirit flowers and herbs, nobody noticed him.
Wu Pingzhi, whose arm had just been broken by Yuan Qianshen, no longer had any fight left in him and departed in dejection.
Suddenly, he felt as if something bit his calf and then felt extremely weary, as if he had aged ten years in an instant.
"Damn it, even you wretched insects dare to mess with me!"
Wu Pingzhi suppressed his rage, planning in his mind to investigate Ling Feng’s identity once he returned to his family and make sure Ling Feng wouldn’t have peace.
"I’m so tired!"
In the next moment, Wu Pingzhi felt his physical strength swiftly draining away, even breathing seemed laborious. He was clearly in his early twenties, with his cultivation reaching the Magnetic Condensation Realm and a constitution far exceeding ordinary people. How could he feel unexplainably fatigued?
It was merely a broken arm!
Little did he know, he had only three days left to live.
After a while, Zi Feng returned to Ling Feng after feasting, grinning, "Master, I’ve just absorbed more than eighty years of lifespan!"
"So you really can devour a human’s vitality so rapidly," Ling Feng had only speculated before but now saw the true extent of Zi Feng’s heavenly ability.
"Not exactly, it’s just that the guy just now was too weak. If it were someone of a higher realm like Zhong Lian, it would take me years to drain his vitality. But once I evolve, I’ll be able to do it much faster."
"Evolution, huh." Ling Feng touched his nose and noticed Yuan Qianshen’s attention shifting towards him. Quickly, he made Zi Feng hide and greeted Yuan Qianshen with a bow, "Junior has seen Master Yuan."
"Hmph!" Yuan Qianshen still looked stern and merely glanced at Ling Feng before striding towards the chores disciple, Chen Sisi.
"Little girl, how are you? Are you okay?"
Yuan Qianshen squatted down to check on Chen Sisi and couldn’t help but sigh.
He too came from humble beginnings, rising from a chores disciple, and he had little tolerance for those clan disciples who bullied the weak.
"I’m fine, I’m fine..."
Chen Sisi quickly shook her head, evidently having heard of Yuan Qianshen’s fierce reputation and was somewhat intimidated.
Yet Ling Feng could see that despite his outward coldness, Yuan Qianshen was actually a decent person.
"Senior, this lady’s left leg seems to be fractured, it needs prompt treatment or she might end up with a limp," Ling Feng stepped forward. "Junior has some medical knowledge and could possibly be of some help."
