Chapter 180: Chapter 180 The Horses Neigh and the Wind Whistles, the Beauty Arrives at Sunset!

The second day broke early, and the Hunting Blade Team, after resting through the night, set out once again.

With Ling Feng’s healing and a full night’s rest, the team’s spirits were revitalized, and they hit the road once again. Their overall condition had hardly been affected much by the Extreme Cold Ice Flood Dragon.

The Blood Python was all too familiar with the Sea and Sky Barrier, almost knowing the turf of those high-level demon beasts by heart, cleverly avoiding the majority of dangers.

"In another two days, we should be able to make our way out of the Sea and Sky Barrier," Blood Python said, his face breaking into a grin. This venture into the Sea and Sky Barrier had been a bountiful harvest for their hunting team. Not to mention anything else, just the corpse of that Extreme Cold Ice Flood Dragon was practically equivalent to an entire year’s income for the Hunting Blade Team.

"Haha, once we’re in Imperial City, I’m going to seriously unwind. Brother Yee Xiao, remember that Seductive Concubine from the Zuichun Pavilion last time? Oh man, her skills!" Lone Wolf’s rugged face flushed red as he recalled the memory.

"Hmm! Keep focused, we’re on the move!" Blood Python smacked Lone Wolf on the shoulder hard, "You old fella, you’re not getting any younger. Instead of always hanging around those pleasure districts, you might as well find a place to settle down and get married!"

"Hey! In our line of work? Forget it, it’s better to pay for freedom. If you really asked me to stay put in one place, I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to handle it," Lone Wolf said, shaking his head with a wry smile.

Blood Python chuckled, then turned to look at Ling Feng, "Xiao Feng, once we’re out of the Sea and Sky Barrier, Imperial City will be right in front of us. I know you didn’t really want to join our hunting team; you just needed us to guide you to Imperial City, right?"

"Hehe..." Ling Feng smiled, touching his nose, "Sorry about that, Blood Team."

"What are you apologizing for?" Blood Python laughed heartily, "Without you, our team would have probably been wiped out this time."

Amidst the crowd, Little Li felt a sudden pang of loss upon hearing that Ling Feng seemed ready to part ways with them upon reaching Imperial City. Her lips pursed, she looked at Ling Feng’s back, lost in thought.

"Let’s go, let’s go! Accelerate!" Blood Python laughed loudly and strode forward, long sword slung over his back.

After another two days of travel, the team finally made it out of the Sea and Sky Barrier smoothly, finding themselves at the edge of the Heavenly Vein Forest.

As the sun began to set, everyone started making camp, prepared to rest for the day and successfully make their way out of the Heavenly Vein Forest the next day.

Right then, a loud rumble of thundering hooves and swirling dust arose from behind them.

Turning around, they saw a group of around twenty to thirty people riding a hybrid breed of demon horses, each of the riders clad in Light Armor, with a fierce and commanding presence. They urged their horses out of the forest, racing toward them at full speed.

In the blink of an eye, they arrived in the clearing where the Hunting Blade Team was gathered.

"Whoa!"

An attractive young man at the head of the group pulled his reins, and his steed came to an immediate halt; the knights behind him also reined in their horses and dismounted.

Seeing that nightfall was near, they too planned to rest here for the night.

This area near Ling Feng and his group’s encampment had a mountain at its back and faced water, an excellent spot to rest.

"This fellow here, this should be Yellow Stone Valley, right? With one more day’s journey, we should be able to exit the Heavenly Vein Forest, shouldn’t we?"

Among the horse troop, a middle-aged man approached Blood Python, greeting him with a bow, and asked in a rather friendly manner.

"That’s correct." Blood Python, not daring to slack off, hurriedly returned the bow, answering with a smile.

The samurai among this horse troop each exuded a robust aura, far surpassing his own hunting team by a hundredfold. Fortunately, it seemed that these representatives of a distinguished family didn’t consider his hunting team, who lived by the knife’s edge, worth much attention.

"Thank you for letting us know," the middle-aged man turned and walked to the handsome youth’s horse, took the reins, and smiled, "Young Master, we’ve been traveling all day, let’s rest here for the night and continue our journey early tomorrow morning."

The handsome youth nodded, dismounted, and casually handed his horse to a samurai behind him. He then strode over to another fine horse and said with a smile, "Cousin, let me help you down!"

The girl on the horse, dressed in white and about sixteen or seventeen years old, had eyes like stars and lips like blooming flowers, her fair skin as delicate as white jade.

The members of the Hunting Blade Team couldn’t help but take a few more glances at the young girl.

Even Little Li bit her lip, feeling somewhat ashamed in the presence of such beauty.

The girl in white, with the help of the handsome youth, lightly jumped down from the horse and frowned slightly, displeased, "Cousin, I’ve been traveling all day and I’m all dirty, I don’t care, I want to take a bath!"

The handsome youth looked at their surroundings and said with a wry smile, "Cousin, bear with it for one more day, we’ll reach the Imperial City tomorrow."

"I don’t care, I want to take a bath!" the girl in white glared at her cousin, huffing with annoyance.

This woman, though beautiful, had a temper that was somewhat hard to endure.

"Alright, alright," the cousin sighed softly and turned to shout at the samurai behind him, "What are you waiting for? Housekeeper Ann, hurry up and set up the tents. Go fetch water from the stream, heat it up, and take it to Miss Cousin!"

"Yes!" The middle-aged man who had asked for directions quickly instructed everyone to get to work.

The girl in white rested under a large tree with the service of two maids.

Ling Feng touched his nose; purely in terms of appearance, this woman was a vision of perfection, nearly matching Yue Yunlan.

However, her character was too haughty, and such a woman was nothing more than a feast for the eyes.

Ling Feng glanced over casually and noticed that all of their horses were extraordinary Demon Horses, large in stature with strong, robust hooves, resembling fierce beasts – not much inferior to his own Black Scale Dragon Horse.

From this, it was clear that these people’s origins were definitely extraordinary.

Ling Feng did not wish to cause trouble and simply sat at his own campsite, meditating cross-legged.

As for the Blood Python and others, they were even less likely to seek trouble, being exceedingly cautious so as not to provoke these "high-level figures."

Before long, the samurai of the horse team had set up several tents about two hundred meters from the Hunting Blade Team camp, with the two largest clearly meant for the girl in white and the handsome youth to spend the night.

A group of burly samurai cooked in the camp, eating delicious grilled meat and even enjoying chilled sour plums, a stark contrast to the Loose Cultivators of the Hunting Blade Team who could only nibble on dry rations.

The girl in white, who seemed to have a bit of an obsession with cleanliness, grew impatient waiting for her bath and went to a nearby stream accompanied by two maids. She rolled up her trouser legs, removed her exquisite boots, revealing delicately white feet, and washed them at the water’s edge.

Her white calves, lightly soaked in the cool stream water, eased the frown between her brows into a gentle relaxation.

A faint smile graced her lips, giving off a refreshing spring breeze.

Though her maids intentionally used their bodies to shield her, everyone, including her cousin, couldn’t help but steal a few looks in her direction.

Only Ling Feng sat with his eyes tightly shut, concentrating on his breathing. To him, the beauty was like a fleeting cloud, insignificant as a dusted skeleton.
