Chapter 171: Chapter 171: Leaving the Valley!

"Eh? Half-step Sword Intent?"

By the side, the black donkey was chewing on a weed, and when Ling Feng switched to a pitch-black long sword, it surprisingly unleashed a trace of Sword Intent fluctuation, prompting the donkey to marvel inwardly.

"Just a kid at the Magnetic Condensation Realm, and he’s already grasped the rudiments of Half-step Sword Intent. If someone were to give him some pointers, he might very well comprehend the true Sword Intent rather soon. However, this Divine Beast certainly won’t be the one to guide him, hmph!"

The black donkey, after all, had once been the Spirit Pet of Emperor Sky White, so its judgment was naturally not far off. Its eyes, shifty as ever, spun around as it eyed Ling Feng’s Universal Annihilation Sword, clearly scheming something up.

One day, two days...

After a full five days, Ling Feng sheathed his sword and stood upright, slowly exhaling a breath of turbid air.

After a total of eight days, Ling Feng had finally completely adapted to the Mixed Element Lock, and could even execute the "Leaving Fire Burning Sky" sword move under such heavy pressure.

Now, if he were to release the Mixed Element Lock, he could definitely unleash an extraordinarily terrifying strength.

"It’s time to leave."

He clenched his fist, a cold glint sparking in his eyes. The Third Elder of Jia Mansion pushed him into a corner, but little did they know, they had fostered an opportunity for him.

"Hey, kiddo, those moves you’ve been practicing back and forth the last few days, they’re kind of interesting." The black donkey saw that Ling Feng had finally stopped practicing his sword moves, immediately stood up on its hind legs, and with a bound, darted in front of Ling Feng, clearly worried that Ling Feng might slip away.

"Do you have any guidance to offer?" Ling Feng glanced at the black donkey and rolled his eyes, saying.

"Hehe, how about this: you swear fealty to me as your master, and I’ll teach you a few moves. I guarantee you’ll become the top expert under the heavens!" The black donkey crossed its front hooves over its chest, saying excitedly.

"Give it a rest." Ling Feng was not one to be fooled; he turned and started walking towards the lake, saying indifferently, "Black donkey, I’m getting ready to leave. You should follow."

"It’s Lord Divine Donkey!"

The black donkey protested with dissatisfaction but still obediently followed. Missing this chance, the Lord Divine Donkey would probably never find a way out again.

"Splash!"

Water splashed everywhere, a man and a donkey, along with a miniature Stone Man cuddled in Ling Feng’s arms, jumped back into the lake and quickly descended to its bottom.

However, this time Ling Feng took the lead. Reaching the cave entrance, the black donkey snorted and frowned, "You brat, hand over that Passage Order Token; otherwise, I can’t get in."

"Just follow me!" Ling Feng turned his head and glared at the black donkey, fully aware of its cunning plan. This fellow obviously still wanted to steal his token.

Shaking his head, Ling Feng took out the token, and the barrier in front naturally dispersed. Ling Feng strode into the cave, while the black donkey lifted its hooves slightly and gave Ling Feng’s departing form a fierce glare, then reluctantly followed.

In no time, the man and donkey arrived at the underground Spirit Vein. Upon seeing the Primordial Stone Vein all around, the black donkey’s eyes nearly popped out, saliva dribbling as it exclaimed, "Oh my, you sly old fox, to think you hid such a Spirit Vein here!"

During this speech, the black donkey had already raised its rear end, starting to frantically dig at the surrounding vein. The donkey obviously had a Space Magic Treasure, and the Primordial Stones, once unearthed, disappeared immediately, clearly having been stashed away.

Ling Feng raised an eyebrow; he could come back any time using the token, so the vein might as well be his own. He still had a chest of unspent Primordial Stones, so he was in no rush to dig them up.

Ling Feng walked up behind the black donkey and delivered a kick to its rump, "You Despicable Donkey, are you going or not?"

The black donkey brayed, "Neigh—," shouting loudly, "You little brat, I’m going to bite you to death!"

Ling Feng knew that this black donkey couldn’t attack him, so its threat really held no weight. He shook the token in his hand, "Keep dawdling and I’ll leave you here to dig Primordial Stones for a lifetime!"

"Hmph, you’re ruthless!" The black donkey glared at Ling Feng, and as it spoke, its tail swept up, still gathering a few Primordial Stones and stashing them away.

"Both greedy and despicable... Is this creature really some kind of Divine Beast?" Ling Feng rolled his eyes, doubting whether the grey-robed elder had been deceived by its original form.

That original form of Emperor Sky White had probably not given a Divine Beast Egg to the grey-robed elder, but rather a donkey egg...

Then again, donkeys don’t lay eggs. Right, perhaps some Divine Beast had gotten drunk and bedded a female donkey, resulting in this abnormal offspring!

Ling Feng watched the black donkey, his mind full of muttering.

The black donkey felt extremely uncomfortable under Ling Feng’s gaze and glared at him fiercely, "Hey, kid, what are you staring at? Haven’t you ever seen a Divine Donkey this handsome before?"

"Yeah, I really haven’t seen a donkey as despicable as you!" Ling Feng shook his head and smiled, pressing the Token he held into the recess at the center of the Spirit Vein.

The ground made a buzzing noise, and soon, a platform more than three feet tall rose up, surrounded by swirling white light, flickering with mysterious Engravings.

"Ha ha, a teleportation platform! This Divine Beast is finally going to get out of here!"

The black donkey kicked back with its hind hooves and jumped directly onto the teleportation platform. Ling Feng, too, knelt on one knee and, together with Zi Feng, leapt onto it.

Next, the teleportation platform started spinning rapidly. Ling Feng could only see a blur as the scenery around him turned into streaks of white light and then, with an indescribable force, he was sent directly out of the Mist Ghost Forest.

Rubbing his eyes, his head still spinning a bit, Ling Feng saw the misty mountains before him and knew he had escaped from that so-called "deadly" place.

...

Meanwhile, outside the Mist Ghost Forest.

"It’s been almost half a month now, that kid is definitely a goner!"

The Third Elder of Jia Mansion had been waiting outside the Mist Ghost Forest. Although it was said that entering the Mist Ghost Forest meant certain death, the look in Ling Feng’s eyes when he crashed into the Ghost Forest still sent chills down the Third Elder’s spine.

So he waited outside the Ghost Forest. It had been more than ten days. Only when he was sure that Ling Feng did not come out again did he feel slightly more at ease.

"It seems there’s no need to wait here any longer."

With a flick of his sleeve, the Third Elder stood up from beside the campfire, ready to head back to Jia Mansion.

Just then, the Third Elder suddenly saw a streak of white light shooting into the sky from within the Mist Ghost Forest, followed by a roaring voice echoing through the high air.

"Ha ha ha, I, the unparalleled, supreme Lord Divine Donkey, have finally escaped to freedom!"

Whoosh!!

A black shadow streaked out from the white light and after a few leaps and bounds, it wildly dashed through the woods.

This shadow was undoubtedly the black donkey. Seeing it break free and immediately bolt, Ling Feng immediately shouted, "Despicable Donkey, come back here!"

Hearing Ling Feng’s voice, the black donkey flicked its tail, covered its ears with its front hooves, and bellowed, "I can’t hear you, I can’t hear you!..."

While shouting, it stepped directly into the void, vanishing without a trace like a puff of smoke.

"Damn it, this cursed Despicable Donkey!"

Ling Feng hadn’t expected the black donkey to play such word games with him. They had agreed on a truce for it to obediently obey, but the moment it got out, it took off. Without it under his watch, commanding it was impossible since he couldn’t even find the donkey.

Ling Feng frowned. He had actually been played by this black donkey. Had he known, he should have established a Spiritual Beast Blood Contract with it first!

"What... what’s going on?"

The Third Elder had not taken note of the black donkey because he saw Ling Feng emerging unharmed from the Mist Ghost Forest. He couldn’t help but pinch his own thigh, the pain confirming that he wasn’t dreaming.

"How is it possible? How could he not be dead?"

The Third Elder shook his head in disbelief repeatedly, his worst fears finally realized.

"What’s wrong, are you disappointed that I didn’t die?"

Without warning, Ling Feng’s figure was already close at hand, holding a black broken sword, his Killing Intent firmly locking onto the Third Elder.
