719: 247: Bastard, Roger doesn’t need custom data at all!

(Vote for monthly ticket!) 719: 247: Bastard, Roger doesn’t need custom data at all!

(Vote for monthly ticket!) The 2000 All-Star Game was destined to be remembered by the world; it was the most earnest All-Star event in NBA history and also the most entertaining.

As a sports competition, the excitement didn’t lie in farther three-pointers or more explosive slam dunks.

It was about the competition itself.

You could understand why, in the past or in the future, those stars might act the way they did; no one wants to get injured in a showy game like this, no one wanted to draw an offensive foul from Shaquille O’Neal in an All-Star Game.

And that’s where the value of this game lay.

Both sides showed what a competitive match with a collection of top stars looked like.

This game revived the NBA from the doldrums of suspension and spread Roger’s influence even further.

Of course, it also gave Roger a phase-run victory in his war with Shaq.

The only regret was that Pierce and Pippen were not at the post-All-Star party; without acquaintances around, Roger didn’t have as much fun as he could have.

Pippen had nothing to do with the All-Star Game this year, so he didn’t come to Oakland at all.

Although Pierce participated in the All-Star rookie game, he was still afraid of crowded places and thus didn’t go to the after-party.

Roger had intended to tease Ray Allen mercilessly at the party for pretending to be all high and mighty while being just as vulgar and eager to shoot as everyone else, but he didn’t show up either.

Roger lamented the loss of all the fun.

At that moment, watching Carter performing the saxophone on stage with his cousin dancing alongside, Roger was drowsy with sleep.

But a comment from Gisele Bundchen jolted Roger awake, “Vince’s middle finger is so fast!”

Roger turned his head toward Gisele Bundchen, who seemed not to notice any issue: “What’s wrong?”

Well, considering Gisele Bundchen wasn’t an old driver like Sofia Vergara, Roger admitted, there was no problem with that statement; the problem was with him.

After the Carter cousins’ performance ended, the party grew dull once again.

Many were playing cards, but Roger was not the least bit interested in AI and the others’ card game.

He wanted to do something to celebrate tonight’s victory; this wonderful night couldn’t just be wasted.

The excitement inside Roger wasn’t quelled in the slightest.

So Roger turned his head toward Gisele Bundchen: “Want to head back?”

“No, the party’s pretty fun.”

“Fun?

Is it Reggie Miller’s denial that he’s ever been to the Gold Club that’s fun, or is AI’s detailed discussion on prison life fun?

The only thing here that is remotely fun is Glenn Robinson’s awful dress sense.

God, he takes 8 million US Dollars a year from the Bucks and has the fashion taste of a hobo!”

“Hahaha, okay Roger, this is a terrible party, but…

I still don’t want to leave you.”

“You don’t have to leave me; you can go to my room.”

Roger had observed that today, Gisele had been drinking only cold beverages, which meant there was no obstruction to his pathway forward.

Gisele’s face flushed with excitement and shyness.

This was the first time Roger had invited her to be alone with him in his room.

“Can I stay very late?”

“You can stay as long as you like.

Oakland isn’t that safe at night, and I wouldn’t feel easy if you went out too late.”

“Then let’s go.”

Roger stood up with Bundchen and said goodbye to the others still at the party.

Everyone came over to bid Roger farewell.

“Goodbye, Roger.”

“Yay!

God of Atlanta!

See you next time!”

“Your victory tonight was amazing, Roger, all because of you, all because of you!”

The last to come forward was AI, who among the Eastern Conference All-Stars, wanted to beat Roger the most.

“See you in the playoffs.”

“I really wouldn’t like to further diminish your market value, AI.”

“Win or lose, I want to compete against you,” said AI, leaning close to Roger’s ear, lowering his voice, “Hey, be gentle with her tonight.”

“Don’t worry AI, I won’t be as rough as I was thrashing you.

Goodbye, everyone, see you later.”

Everyone was happy because Roger had made them the winners of the night.

Now, Roger was off to find his own happiness.

The next day, Roger flew back to Atlanta with Pierce.

Paul Pierce, looking at a newspaper headline, gave Roger a smile, “How does it feel?”

Roger glanced at the newspaper; the headline read: “Atlanta Hawks on verge of becoming the first NBA team in history to win 70 regular-season games and championship.”

The subheading: “Provided Roger doesn’t bring a supermodel girlfriend back to his hotel room every night.”

Roger waved his hand dismissively and continued to rest with his eyes closed, “I don’t want to talk about last night’s feelings.”

The feeling was indeed amazing, the tight embrace, the deep gazes, the full collagen distinct to girls of that age…

but Roger had no desire to share such matters with anyone.

Pierce looked scornful: “I was asking about your feelings on the 70-win championship!

Damn it, don’t you have any desire for it at all?”

Roger reopened his eyes and looked at the newspaper again.

Currently, the Hawks’ record wasn’t better than the Bulls during their 72-win season.

But the media still believed they had a chance of 72 wins and clinching the championship.

This represented the expectations of the fans and media; the Hawks had great momentum this season, and Roger had proven last night that he was an All-Star among All-Stars.

Coupled with Doug Collins’s words, it really led everyone to believe that Roger could accomplish everything that Michael Jordan hadn’t.

The biggest regret of Michael Jordan’s career was his failure to beat Roger, and the most regrettable of all the losses to Roger was the year the Bulls won 72 games.
