Champion Creed -
Chapter 401 - 401 159 Bloody Election Seeking Monthly Votes!
401: 159: Bloody Election (Seeking Monthly Votes!) 401: 159: Bloody Election (Seeking Monthly Votes!) Derrick McKey and Saru drove to Roger’s house early in the morning, hoping to catch him before he left.
But when they arrived, they learned from Roger’s neighbor that he had already left: “You know, the roar of a Ferrari is like an alarm clock, reminding everyone when Roger leaves and when he comes back.”
“Damn!” Derrick McKey cursed, fully aware of what Roger had done to Pippen and Jordan during his rookie season.
Roger even left a lifelong scar on Jordan.
Based on what McKey knew about Roger, that guy would definitely fight, no doubt about it!
Even though Shaq’s size was almost equivalent to Pippen and Jordan combined, Roger would not back down!
The madman would not fear anyone when he got angry!
“We have to hurry, Roger is definitely waiting in the locker room for Shaq!” Saru said, urgently opening the car door again.
The two did not waste any time and immediately turned around to head for the AdventHealth Training Center.
On the car radio, all the major stations in Orlando were also discussing the interview O’Neal had given the day before.
“It’s the champions who kill the dynasty, that’s an unchanging truth.
Dynasties don’t collapse overnight.
Maybe the moment when Roger first lifted the FMVP trophy, jealousy was already taking root in Shaq.
Brace yourselves Orlando, for it seems like the wheels of the unbeatable war machine are about to come off.”
McKey turned off the radio: “It’s all crap!
These media people only know how to kick someone when they’re down!”
Saru didn’t speak, just looked out the car window.
He couldn’t understand why such good friends were in this situation now.
When Saru and McKey arrived at the parking lot, they found Roger squatting in front of O’Neal’s reserved parking spot, silent.
What was he thinking about?
Perhaps it was their first encounter in Baton Rouge, perhaps the century-old alley-oop against the Knicks, or maybe it was the time in Odessa when Shaq, like a child, held him and sobbed as his grandmother passed away.
Roger was upset, he had once truly believed that he and Shaq could escape the judgment of fate, could break the curse of the champion.
McKey and Saru were extremely fortunate that Roger was not armed; otherwise, heaven knows if he might have directly brought a gun with him.
Noticing someone approaching, Roger looked up at Saru and McKey, his eyes bloodshot: “I’d advise you best not to get involved, this is a warning.”
“Calm down, Roger, it hasn’t gotten to that point yet!” Saru said, signaling with his eyes for McKey to join him in holding Roger by the shoulders from each side.
“What further can it escalate?
We all restrain ourselves in front of the media, just to protect his fragile ego and the crumbling locker room relationships.
And that idiot ends up publically causing a split in the locker room during a national live broadcast!
Damn it, I want to crack open his head to see what he’s thinking!”
Just then, another car entered the parking lot.
But it wasn’t Shaq; it was a sweaty Ron Harper: “Damn it, I only heard about this on the radio this morning!
How could that bastard say those things in front of the media!?
He’s making $20 million a year, and we all respect him in the locker room, what more could he want?”
“Ron, keep it down, do you think it’s not chaotic enough here?” McKey yelled.
“Who created this chaos?
Why did Shaq meet with Jerry West?
He left an option for next year then met with another team’s general manager at the start of the season.
Do you believe he is innocent?
Fuck that, we are not kids!
If a man and a woman are in a bed, would you believe they are truly just exploring the mysteries of black holes?
We are chasing a third consecutive championship, and Roger leads us to victory every night.
And what is Shaq doing?
He’s just looking for better options!
We have been betrayed by that asshole, our chance for a three-peat has been betrayed!”
“Enough Ron, that won’t solve the problem!” McKey found himself also raising his voice as he yelled.
“Derrick, if you want to side with Shaq, I can’t stop you.
But in this matter, I am absolutely supporting Roger!
Roger, whatever you do later, I’m with you!
I won’t forget who got me two rings, who got me all those endorsements!”
“Idiot, don’t talk that nonsense, do you really want Roger and Shaq to have a fight here?” Saru also rarely cursed.
This was the result of the locker room split; this was why Roger wanted to maintain the stability of the locker room.
Because once such incidents occurred, it no longer just concerned Roger and Shaq; no one could remain untouched by the fallout.
As time passed, more and more cars entered the parking lot, almost everyone arrived early at the training facility today.
Almost everyone knew that how today’s events unfolded would determine whether Magic could continue their march toward the championship.
General Manager John Gabriel also arrived at the scene, admitting that he was the first to break the “non-interference agreement,” but he hadn’t expected things to spiral out of control like this.
“Roger!” Gabriel squeezed through the crowd, “Roger, please don’t do anything rash.
Listen, everything is still under my control!”
Roger didn’t even look Gabriel in the eye: “Get out of the way, John, this is a locker room issue, it doesn’t need management interference.
If management has a problem, let Mr.
DeVos come and talk to me directly, you’re not qualified.”
“What?”
